This two-story retro European-style villa features two white Roman columns supporting the entrance, giving it a sophisticated and imposing appearance. Upon entering, you'll find a marble foyer with clean and tidy furniture.
The chandelier was magnificent, and the spacious and bright living room was quiet, with only the two of them in the entire space.
Qi Shen usually lives here alone.
He didn't want to be disturbed, so he didn't arrange for a live-in nanny, but instead hired a professional cleaner to come and clean his house regularly.
Qi Shen took off his suit jacket and threw it on the sofa. He rolled up the exquisitely crafted cuffs of his shirt, revealing smooth lines on his pale arms with faintly visible veins.
It reveals a sense of strength and muscularity that seems incongruous with the man's gentle and refined appearance.
Long, slender fingers traced the girl's cheek through a thin sheet of paper, and a deep, magnetic voice said:
"Zhizhi, your room is the first one on the left on the second floor. Go and have a look around first, I'll go make dinner."
She realized her head was buzzing, and the coolness of her brother's lips brushing against her earlobe in the car was still lingering.
His suggestion at that moment was exactly what she wanted to do to escape.
Fang Zhi dared not look him in the eye, lowered her head and softly replied "Okay," then ran upstairs in a slightly flustered manner.
The ponytail swayed as its owner jogged along, as if a man-eating beast was lurking behind him.
Only after the girl's figure disappeared down the corridor did Qi Shen turn his gaze away and slowly walk into the restaurant.
Second-floor bedroom.
Fang Zhi closed the door, panting softly.
This feels so strange. If her brother kissed her last time because he was drunk, what about this time?
Even someone as slow-witted as her could realize that the physical contact her brother made when unbuckling her seatbelt seemed intentional.
She couldn't understand him, let alone guess what he was thinking.
My older brother wasn't so difficult to understand when he was a teenager, but now that he's an adult and has entered society, he doesn't show his emotions.
Fang Zhi lowered his eyelids.
I walked to the desk, put my schoolbag on it, and tried to escape my overthinking by looking around the room.
The bedroom is spacious, and the overall decoration style is similar to that of the Qi family, with beige as the main color, which is elegant and pleasing to the eye.
The only difference is that a walk-in closet has been built between the bed and the bathroom.
The brown glass wardrobe has a high-end feel, with LED strip lights emitting a warm glow, and is filled with unopened clothes.
Then he realized he had stopped walking.
Since her brother said this was her room, these are most likely clothes prepared for her.
From spring clothes to winter clothes, from pajamas to underwear, everything was in her size, brand new with the tags still on.
The well-dressed individuals clearly indicated that the villa's owner intended for the owner of this bedroom to reside here permanently.
Seeing the cotton underwear folded in the drawer, I realized my ears were turning red.
All her previous personal clothes were taken care of by Qi Shen, but this was the first time he had arranged her underwear.
He didn't like her wearing revealing clothes; all the clothes in her wardrobe were elegant and ladylike.
Summer skirts should be below the knee. Last year when I was buying clothes, the sales assistant complimented her on her great leg shape, saying she would look good in shorts.
At the time, her brother didn't say anything, only casually saying "It's not appropriate," and he never took her to that store again after that.
Her brother's controlling nature was sometimes outrageous. Even when she relied on Wang Ma, who had always taken care of her, her brother subtly expressed his displeasure.
This is also why she has never told her brother about her friendship with Liu Siyi, even though they have been friends for so long.
He intuitively felt he didn't like it.
......
In the kitchen on the first floor, Qi Shen prepared the meal and went upstairs to call Fang Zhi.
On the wooden dining table, there were three dishes and a soup, a good mix of meat and vegetables. The dishes looked delicious, and the rice in the bowls was plump and full.
The two people sat down facing each other.
"Brother, the school held a joint exam last week." Fang Zhi handed the report card to the empty seat in front of Qi Shen at the dining table. "The teacher said that the report card needs to be signed by a parent."
520?
Qi Shen glanced at the numbers above and his eyebrows lifted slightly.
If the girl hadn't been so innocent, he would have mistakenly thought she had ulterior motives in giving that score.
He ignored Fang Zhi's question, put the report card aside, and asked instead, "Did you bring the test paper back?"
"I brought it back."
"Okay, I understand. Let's eat first." Qi Shen picked up some food with his chopsticks and put it into Fang Zhi's bowl. "I'll go over all the wrong questions with you after dinner and then sign them."
Fang Zhi's eyes flickered, and her left hand, resting on her knee, clenched tightly. After two inappropriate displays of affection, she now only wanted to avoid being alone with her brother, which was why she gave him her report card during dinner.
After her brother finishes signing, she can go straight back to her room.
The plan failed.
The man's handsome, refined face held a faint smile, and his voice was gentle and soft, "Is there a problem with Zhizhi?"
Fang Zhi shifted slightly, a little awkwardly. "No."
Watching the girl eat so cautiously, as if avoiding a flood or a ferocious beast, Qi Shen's handsome features were clouded with gloom, and his eyes gradually darkened.
She wanted to hide, but he wouldn't allow it.
Even if he gives her a chance, where can she hide?
He wasn't revealing his feelings to her so the little bird would preen its feathers and avoid him.
Fang Zhi was picking at the rice in her bowl when she could feel a burning gaze fixed on her head without even looking up.
He stared at her intently, as if trying to seep into her soul through her body, which made her uneasy.
"Is your brother's cooking not good?"
A gentle, melodious voice slowly rang out, and Fang Zhi paused, then slowly looked up, "Delicious."
"Your face looks pale, I thought it was because the food didn't suit your taste."
Qi Shen smiled gently at her and then served her some food, his tone meaningful, "Since you think it's delicious, eat more. I'll cook for Zhizhi when I have time in the future."
