Qi Shen placed one hand on the table, trapping Fang Zhi in a small space, his narrow eyes gripping her panicked gaze.
Under the orange light, he stared intently at her, not missing a single expression on Fang Zhi's face.
Confirming that the girl showed no resistance, only bewildered confusion, Qi Shen curled his lips into a smile.
With his other hand, he slowly caressed the girl's lips, his voice low, husky, and languid, tinged with a hint of doting affection, "Zhizhi, are there any male classmates at your classmate's birthday party?"
Fang Zhi was in a state of utter confusion, his breathing so soft it was almost inaudible. "I...I don't know."
Liu Siyi is popular with both male and female classmates, and she is really not sure if there will be any boys among them.
"Your brother agrees to let you go." The man's fingers on her cherry-colored lips tightened, causing her soft lips to sink in. "But Zhizhi, remember to keep your distance from boys."
Only then did I realize that the look in his pupils was unfocused and blank.
Although the older brother was smiling, his condescending angle was full of aggression.
Seeing that the girl did not answer, Qi Shen lowered his head, and his dark, tousled hair fell down.
From a distance, the tall, handsome man and the beautiful, serene girl are seen touching forehead to forehead.
Their intimate gestures resembled those of a couple deeply in love.
"This is a one-time exception; there will be no next time."
Fang Zhi was clearly uncomfortable with this ambiguous and strange atmosphere. Her slender and delicate body twitched slightly, trying to escape the man's omnipresent presence.
She lowered her eyes and murmured softly, "Why?"
Qi Shen ignored the girl's small movements, his dark eyes fixed on her snow-white, slender neck, and smiled faintly.
"Zhizhi doesn't need friends, having her brother is enough."
"As for Zhizhi's current friend Liu Siyi, since she has decided to study abroad after graduation, let's just forget about her."
The man's voice was soft and gentle, and his demeanor was incredibly tender, but the words that spilled from his thin lips were domineering and arbitrary.
“Brother…” Fang Zhi’s eyes widened, his voice weak and incredulous, “How did you know Siyi was going to study abroad? Did you investigate her?”
"How could that be?" Qi Shen chuckled nonchalantly. "I was worried that Zhizhi might run into bad people, so I had someone keep an eye on Zhizhi and also find out about your friend."
Once the arrow is released, there's no turning back.
He didn't mind letting the girl know he was watching her every move, after all, he had already confessed his feelings for her today and wouldn't leave any room for doubt in the future.
This can also be seen as a reminder to the little girl, letting her know what she should and shouldn't do.
Fang Zhi didn't know whether to be afraid, to take a chance, or both.
She was afraid of her brother now; his dark side made him seem so unfamiliar that it sent chills down her spine. Fortunately, she was usually obedient and hadn't done anything out of line.
She had a vague feeling that if she did something she shouldn't have, her brother wouldn't have just kissed her once and then stopped.
The air around them was so oppressive it was suffocating. Fang Zhi's lips trembled. "Brother... could you please sit down first?"
Looking at the little girl whose shoulders were trembling slightly but who was still pretending to be calm, Qi Shen withdrew his hand from the table. "Okay."
He sat back down in his chair, facing the little girl.
Outside the window, dark clouds obscured the moon, and the night was so dark that there was no light at all. A strong wind rustled through the leaves.
A bluish-purple light streaked across the night sky, followed by a deafening clap of thunder, signaling the approaching storm.
The light shone on the two people, casting their silhouettes onto the spotless floor.
Under the man's gentle yet firm request, she realized she had no choice but to hand over her phone for inspection.
Qi Shen looked through the girl's social media. Besides him, the only other people on her were her teacher and Liu Siyi.
It's clean and tidy, without any clutter.
A hint of satisfaction flashed in Qi Shen's eyes. He handed the phone to Fang Zhi, stood up, and looked down at her.
Under the light, the man's face was deep and angular, with a high nose and handsome, refined features.
"Zhizhi, it's getting late. We can work out the remaining questions tomorrow. Get some rest."
"Also, remember to ask Liu tomorrow who will be at her birthday party, and then tell your brother."
Fang Zhi's understanding of the world had been refreshed tonight, and for the first time, he didn't want to reply to Qi Shen's words, remaining unusually silent.
The man stood there leisurely, his posture languid and aloof, as if he wouldn't leave until he got a reply from her.
After a three-second standoff, Fang Zhi finally gave in and looked up, her voice muffled, "I understand, goodnight, brother."
Qi Shen lowered his voice, "Zhizhi too, goodnight."
Shortly after the man left the bedroom, it began to rain outside.
At first, large raindrops pounded against the window, but soon the rain poured down outside, accompanied by thunder and lightning, and the whole city was shrouded in rain, making the scenery blurry.
Fang Zhi turned off the light and slowly climbed into bed, curling her slender body into a ball, not even bothering to wash up.
Her brother, whom she had always trusted and admired, actually admitted that he liked her.
When exactly did it begin?
Where did things go wrong? Was he really serious?
What will she do in the future?
Confused by a host of questions, Fang Zhi realized that her romantic experience was completely blank, and the clueless young woman seemed to be stuck in a swamp.
Unable to break free, and tangled in a mess.
......
Unlike the dark room next door, which was completely dark, Qi Shen's bedroom was brightly lit.
The laptop on the desk was open, and the smaller screen next to it displayed a man's exquisitely handsome face.
It was Fu Shaosi.
It's pouring rain tonight, and he's unusually staying home instead of going out to have some fun, thinking he might bother his good buddy a bit.
I never expected to hear this news.
The man narrowed his peach blossom eyes and said, "You really are a beast. Don't scare that young girl to death."
"Others?" Qi Shenjun's handsome face savored the words with a playful expression, his eyes holding a profound meaning. "Whose?"
The man's white shirt was unbuttoned up to the third button, revealing his delicate collarbone and smooth-lined chest.
Unlike his gentle and well-dressed demeanor during the day, he now exudes a faint air of nonchalance and decadence, a complete scoundrel of a refined gentleman.
"Slip of the tongue, it's yours, yours." Fu Shaosi rolled his eyes at him impatiently. "Is that alright now?"
Qi Shen raised an eyebrow, neither confirming nor denying.
"Aren't you even giving your little girl the right to refuse you?" Fu Shaosi deliberately emphasized the words "your little girl".
"What?" Qi Shen's eyes darkened, his voice turning slightly cold. "You took a fancy to a girl and just let her run away?"
In his life, once he sets his sights on someone, he cannot be "rejected." If someone cannot stay willingly, he will force them to stay.
No matter what you do, you'll stay; there's no escaping it.
Fu Shaosi was taken aback by the question.
Taking advantage of his momentary daze, Qi Shen casually hung up the video call.
beep-
The computer disconnected, and Fu Shaosi finally came to his senses. "Damn it, I've fallen into Qi Gou's textual trap again."
Damn it, I was young and reckless, and I've experienced everything I was supposed to experience over the years.
There aren't any girls who interest him right now, let alone a girl he likes.
