Chapter 6 Remember Your Words

A soft and comfortable bed, delicious and warm meals—this was something she had never dreamed of before.

Fang Zhi buried her head in the blanket, the sweet fragrance of the room mingling with the light scent of her brother's clothes.

She was a little afraid to sleep, afraid that if she fell asleep, she would wake up and find that it was just a dream.

She stared at the ceiling with her big, round eyes until late at night before finally falling asleep without realizing it.

This was the most peaceful sleep Fang Zhi had ever had in her memory. She was only awakened by the sound of knocking on the door.

When the door opened, there was a neatly dressed young man.

The pale golden sunlight fell on his face, and the private school uniform looked like a custom-made piece on him, making him appear even more gentle and refined.

Qi Shen noticed her messy hair from sleeping, with a tuft sticking straight up in the air.

It looks incredibly dull.

He raised his slender hand to cover his high, straight nose, and Qi Shen chuckled, "Did I disturb you?"

Fang Zhi blushed, not knowing what he was laughing at, and simply murmured, "Nothing."

Qi Shen raised his hand and pressed down the amusing tuft of hair on her head, his tone gentle yet commanding, "Go wash up, it's time to go downstairs for breakfast."

Fang Zhi finished washing up and went downstairs. When he turned the corner, he saw the young man sitting upright and eating. His every move was elegant and composed, pleasing to the eye, showing that he was well-mannered.

Qi Shen looked up as if sensing something, just in time to meet the girl's gaze, and smiled, "Sit down and eat."

Fang Zhi silently sat down opposite him.

The Qi family adhered to the custom of not speaking while eating or sleeping, so the meal was extremely quiet.

The only sound was the clinking of bowls and chopsticks.

The driver was already waiting in the living room, ready to take the boy to school. Before leaving, Qi Shen told the girl to wait for him to return so he could take her to buy daily necessities and clothes.

The humming sound of the car engine gradually faded away in the yard.

After the girl finished breakfast, Wang Ma asked her if she wanted to watch some TV or take a walk in the yard.

Fang Zhi shook her head and whispered that she wanted to go back to her bedroom.

Shangde School is a well-known elite school in Haicheng, offering a continuous program from elementary to high school.

The road leading to the school gate is flat and wide. The school covers a huge area. Inside the school, milky white marble walls separate the three academic buildings, leaving only a black carved gate for passage.

Luxury cars were parked on the main road of the school, and one by one, young masters and ladies with their heads held high and their schoolbags on their backs got out of the cars.

As Qi Shen stepped into the third grade, a hand landed on his shoulder from behind.

Turning around, I saw a handsome and devilishly beautiful young man.

With a head of tar-colored hair, a roguish grin, and an overall nonchalant attitude, he said, "Hey, where did you go yesterday?"

"Shao Si." Qi Shen glanced at him subtly, his voice calm.

Fu Shaosi looked at him innocently, "Hmm?"

Qi Shen slowly spoke, "Deduct five points for dyed hair."

What??

"Are you even human?" Fu Shaosi gasped, taking a step back. "I was concerned about where you went, and you turn around and deduct five points from my score??"

"Five more points will be deducted for using profanity."

"This is pointless." Fu Shaosi gritted his teeth. "I treat you like a brother, but what do you take me for?"

Before Qi Shen could reply, he muttered to himself, "Hook up extensions?"

"Congratulations." Qi Shen smiled slightly, straightening his collar. "You've learned how to answer first."

Fu Shaosi cursed inwardly: You beast!

Four close childhood friends: one went abroad to study and occasionally pops up, while the other underwent military-style rigorous training and also occasionally pops up.

He only left behind this beast in human clothing who "always accompanied" him!

Fu Shaosi felt that his life was more bitter than bitter melon.

Ignoring what the boy was thinking, Qi Shen casually asked, "What medicine did you use when someone smashed your forehead last year?"

"Why are you asking this?" Fu Shaosi looked at the gentle and refined young man warily. "What do you want?"

He would never be so narcissistic as to think that this beast was concerned about him.

Qi Shen's expression was calm and indifferent. "A friend of mine was injured and has scars on his body. He needs scar removal medicine."

"Oh." Fu Shaosi touched his forehead. "It's a new drug developed overseas. I specially asked Shi Yan to get it for me."

Back then, fearing that her handsome face would be ruined, she nagged Cheng Shiyan for a week before he finally agreed.

Having achieved his goal, Qi Shen said no more and walked straight past Fu Shaosi toward the classroom.

Fu Shaosi, who was standing still, seemed to wake up from a dream.

Friend? No, something's wrong!

Besides Chuanzi and Shiyan, who else does Qi, who looks down on everyone, have to care about or be friends with?!

Fu Shaosi kept pestering Qi Shen all day, but he couldn't get the information about this friend out of him even after school ended.

Not only did he not get a reply, but Qi Shen, who found him annoying, also tricked him into going to the head of the teaching department, where he was kept behind and criticized by name for his appearance.

-

Back at the Qi family home, Wang Ma took the boy's schoolbag.

Qi Shen glanced around. "Where's Zhizhi?"

“Miss Zhizhi only comes out to eat, and goes back to her bedroom afterward. She's very quiet and hasn't come out at all.” Wang Ma stood to the side holding her schoolbag. “Should I go call Miss Zhizhi when it's time for dinner?”

Qi Shen shook his head, indicating, "No need, I'll go."

He started walking towards the stairs, feeling a headache coming on as he thought about how Shao Si had been bothering him all day at school.

He has no plans to bring anyone else to see her for the time being.

The rule of domestication: Before a lone kitten fully trusts its handler, it should not be exposed to strangers.

Shao Si, in particular, is too impulsive.

He didn't bring her back so that other people could enter her life and leave their mark.

Stopping at the door, Qi Shen knocked first and opened the door after hearing a soft response from inside.

"Brother." Fang Zhi, holding a book, sat at the desk and turned to look at him. "You're back."
