Chapter 79 Exposure

“I always thought Zhizhi was a good actress and that her talent was wasted on dance. Now it seems that my brother didn’t know Zhizhi well enough. Zhizhi’s acting skills are more than just good; she could even fool me.”

"Hmm?" Qi Shen laughed angrily, staring down at the girl's pale face. "Your tuition at A University is enough, but your living expenses are a bit short. Do you need your brother to give you some more gold coins?"

He spoiled her and never skimped on her allowance, never imagining that this would provide her with the resources to fly away in the future.

Well, that taught him a lesson too.

Under repeated questioning, she realized that her slender body was swaying precariously.

Qi Shen stared at her, his fingers, hanging by his side, bent slightly, wanting to help her up but forcibly holding back.

Qi Shen's feigned gentlemanly demeanor had vanished, leaving only a deep gloom.

The anger in his chest burned his entire chest, the searing pain spreading through his senses and nerve endings. He closed his eyes, masochistically savoring the pain.

After a long while, Qi Shen opened his eyes, his narrow pupils slightly narrowed as he locked onto Fang Zhi, and said in a cold tone:

"Get in the car."

After saying that, he walked to the car, opened the passenger door, turned around and stood by the door. Seeing the girl standing there motionless, Qi Shen's thin lips moved slightly as he continued, "You're hiding from your brother so much that I have to catch you to get in the car?"

Under the man's almost tangible, slightly crazed gaze, Fang Zhi stiffly moved, then silently walked towards him and sat in the car like a puppet being manipulated.
