A thin layer of sweat dampened the man's temples, the sweat condensing and gathering with his movements before slowly sliding down his sharply defined face.
The first round is over.
Qi Shen stared at Fang Zhi, whose eyes were glazed and blank, and who was still in the afterglow of the experience, and chuckled softly.
Having experienced love for the first time, the girl's fair and beautiful face now exuded an irresistible charm, and her once clear eyes were now tinged with a alluring red.
"Are you thirsty?" Qi Shen lowered his head and tenderly kissed the corner of her eye. The words had barely left his lips when he suddenly thought of something:
If she's not thirsty, then who is?
Recalling the girl's constant, fragmented whispers and the excessive loss of water molecules from her body.
It is said that women are like water.
He had witnessed the girl's emotional state before, but he never expected her to surprise him again today.
Thinking of this, the man's Adam's apple bobbed slightly, his narrow eyes narrowed, and his eyes were like an overturned inkstone.
The desires that had just been relieved returned with a vengeance.
But not now, she needs to rest for a while.
Before Fang Zhi could answer, Qi Shen forcibly suppressed the urge that was welling up inside him and said, "Brother will go get you some water." His deep voice revealed a pleasant tone that was easy to detect.
He casually picked up his pants from the floor, put them on, and walked out of the bedroom with his lean, muscular upper body exposed.
The man had just left.
Fang Zhi seemed to have thought of something, and her long, thick eyelashes trembled slightly like butterfly wings.
She slowly sat up in bed.
He held the blanket over his body with one hand, and stretched out his other arm, struggling to reach for his phone on the bedside table.
The screen, which had been dark, suddenly lit up, reflecting her face, as it filled with a dense stream of messages.
All the information came from Liu Siyi.
[Zhizhi, what's wrong? Why aren't you replying? Are you daydreaming about the future? *smirks*]
[A missed call from Liu Siyi.]
[A missed call from Liu Siyi.]
[It's been two hours, where are you? Don't scare me, Zhizhi??? Reply to me if you see this!]
[A missed call from Liu Siyi.]
From the moment she bumped into her brother until she returned to the study to change the school's information, her phone was with him the whole time. Even when he carried her back to the bedroom and asked her for it, the phone kept ringing.
The man found the noise annoying, so he silenced his phone.
Fang Zhi unlocked her phone; her slender, pale fingers were a little weak from the exertion. She carefully replied: "Siyi, I'm fine. I'm sorry I worried you."
One second after the message was sent, a message popped up on the other end.
What just happened to you? I thought you were being kidnapped by human traffickers while walking on the street, and I almost called the police.
Fang Zhi moved his hand, wondering how to reply, when unhurried footsteps came from the direction of the door.
She tightened her grip on her phone and looked up.
The man held a glass full of water in his long, slender hands. His V-line extended downwards and disappeared beneath his loose trousers. His pale skin shone like jade in the direct sunlight, even more dazzling than the light reflected from the clean, flawless glass in his hand.
Qi Shen and she met eyes.
The girl leaned against the headboard, her once jet-black hair now disheveled and plastered to her small, palm-sized face. Beneath her delicate eyebrows, a pair of wide, bright eyes stared at him, like a frightened squirrel, looking utterly pitiful.
His gaze swept down to the phone in her hand, and Qi Shen's eyebrows rose slightly.
The man walked towards her.
Fang Zhi hurriedly and awkwardly lowered her eyes, but out of the corner of her eye she could see him sitting down beside her.
The bed dented as he sat down.
Qi Shen raised his free hand to smooth the hair that was clinging to her cheek. Sensing the fluctuation in the air, Fang Zhi instinctively stepped back, avoiding his hand.
His hand reached out but found nothing.
Qi Shen's eyes flashed with a hint of something deeper. He calmly withdrew his hand, his thin lips curving slightly. "Reply to Liu Siyi's message?"
Fang Zhi softly hummed in agreement.
"Have some water first." He brought the cup to the girl's lips. "I'll answer her for you."
Upon hearing this, she realized that she suddenly heard the warning the man hadn't finished saying in the study, fearing that he might treat Liu Siyi or the Liu family the same way he had treated Jiang Yuzhe.
She pulled her head back, away from the cup, and uttered a louder "Brother" than usual. Her eyes, which were gradually filled with panic, looked up at the man.
Liu Siyi's parents are not like Jiang Yuze's parents.
The Jiang family had fallen into such a state under his brother's rule, so it would be effortless for him to target Liu Siyi's family.
"Hmm?" Qi Shen's handsome features were calm and gentle, revealing no other emotions. He continued handing over the water glass. "Is there something you need, Zhizhi?"
Fang Zhi grew increasingly terrified, his teeth chattering slightly, and he spoke with difficulty, each word distinct:
"What happened today has nothing to do with Siyi. It was all my idea. She just said it casually."
The truth or falsehood in the little girl's words was clearly revealed in the chat history. She understood, and so did he.
Zhizhi has her own plans and schemes, and her friend is there to cover them up for her. Lying to him with her eyes wide open—just how much does she want to protect this friend?
"Don't worry." He stared into her eyes, smiled slightly, and said in a meaningful tone, "Fortunately, Zhizhi listened to advice later, so I can guarantee that I won't harm her."
Looking into his deep, captivating eyes, Fang Zhi stammered, "You wouldn't harm Siyi's...family..."
Before the girl could finish speaking, he interrupted her, "Yes."
Although he was displeased with Liu Siyi's actions, he was fortunate that she was a girl and was about to go abroad to study. The chances of her appearing in front of the girls in the future would be smaller, and even if she came back during winter and summer vacations, he had ways to make sure they couldn't see her.
