Chapter 91 Need to find my brother?

On her way home from school, Fang Zhi kept thinking about what her dance teacher had told her that day.

What will she do after graduating from the dance department?

While contemplating the future, she occasionally interweaves her childhood memories and her initial motivation for learning dance.

Everything points to: the stage.

She wants to stand on the stage, pour her energy into it, and contribute her own strength to the classical dance world. She also wants to be like her idol, Xia Mianyi, so that more people can recognize and witness the style and soul of classical dance.

But to stand on the stage, one naturally has to face the audience and the gaze of the outside world.

These ideas went against his brother's wishes.

He only wanted to keep her under his wing and didn't want anyone else to witness or share even a single thing about her.

Upon arriving at Nangong, Fang Zhi was the only one dining in the restaurant at noon. She had no classes in the afternoon, so she went back to her bedroom after lunch.

-

The wedding ceremony was almost over, and the guests were now toasting and enjoying themselves at the banquet. Bai Chuan stayed in the lobby with the newlyweds and guests.

A clean and tidy restroom.

Qi Shen stood outside the shelf, knocking on the door with a blank expression. "How long are you planning to vomit? If you're planning to stay here, let me know in advance. Don't waste my time. Shi Yan is urging me."

"Give me five more points..." Fu Shaosi had barely finished speaking when another wave of nausea surged up from his stomach. "Ugh..."

"..." Qi Shen's hand froze in mid-air, even forgetting to retract it. A hint of disdain appeared on his handsome face. "I'll have someone watch over you." After saying that, he turned to leave.

Fu Shaosi's roar came from behind the door.

"No, no, Qi Shen, if anyone sees me like this today, I'll break off all ties with you and we'll never see each other again." He said, tearing off a piece of tissue to wipe his mouth, then holding his throbbing head, leaning back against the partition to calm himself down.

If word gets out that he was drunk so badly by a little girl that he couldn't even stand up, he'll never be able to show his face in Haicheng again.

Seeing the man open the door and come out, Qi Shen looked him up and down, his tone playful, "How are you?"

“Okay.” Fu Shaosi placed his hand on the door, slowly raised his eyes to stare at Qi Shen, and emphasized each word: “Who said I can’t? I’m just still a little drunk from last night. I feel much better after throwing up.”

"It's good that you're alright." Qi Shen narrowed his long eyes slightly, looked back at him, and smiled meaningfully. "Shao Si, but I still suggest you go see a doctor."

Upon hearing his words, Fu Shaosi instantly sobered up, his lips trembling as he asked, "Where the hell did you find that out?"

Qi Shen casually uttered two words, "Guess."

He was initially unsure, but as he made substantial progress with the young woman, he began to suspect Fu Shaosi.

His experience, combined with his previous reaction at Ting Shui Cui Guan, is sufficient to prove his inference.

"Holy crap." Fu Shaosi stood there dumbfounded, and when he came to his senses, he wanted to slap himself.

Damn it, he self-destructed.

That bastard is really good at hiding his true intentions; he's truly insidious.

After waiting for two years, I took advantage of his illness to test him a second time, and damn it, he wasn't on guard at all.

......

After finishing Cheng Shiyan's wedding, Qi Shen returned to Nangong at four o'clock in the afternoon.

He has rarely drunk this much in recent years.

The project he collaborated on with Shi Yan back then was a win-win situation for both of them. Shi Yan successfully gained control of the Cheng family, and the status of his SQ became unshakeable. It can be said that there are almost no people in the country who need him to personally entertain or meet, and no one would be so tactless as to force him to drink.

Today is my childhood friend's big day. Besides accompanying Shi Yan to toast the elders, Fu Shaosi, that dim-witted idiot, somehow got into a drinking contest with the bride's best friend.

He drank quite a bit as well.

Qi Shen spared a moment of thought and wondered: He suspected that Fu Shaosi was retaliating against him and deliberately dragging him into this mess.

"Sir, please slow down and watch your step." The nanny noticed the man pause and carefully stood behind him.

As Qi Shen gripped the stair railing and stepped upwards, he asked in a low voice, "Where's Zhizhi?"

"After lunch, the young lady went upstairs. She said she wanted to take a nap and asked us not to disturb her."

"Okay, no need to follow. Go down and tell the kitchen to make a bowl of hangover soup and bring it up."

"OK."

After receiving the instructions, the nanny turned and went downstairs.

Qi Shen was left alone in the second-floor corridor. He leaned against the wall with one hand and glanced at the time on his wristwatch with the other.

Still not awake at this time of day for lunch break?

He shook his slightly dizzy head and glanced at Fang Zhi's room. Without a doubt, with him not home, the little girl would only be resting in her own bedroom.

His son is now most adept at feigning compliance while secretly going against the grain, and it has taken him more than two or three years to correct this behavior.

He didn't mind, as long as it wasn't serious, he was fine with letting the kitten cause a little trouble occasionally.

The pungent smell of alcohol reached his nose. Qi Shen paused at the girl's door for a moment before returning to his bedroom.

The footsteps and faint voices from the corridor reached the room perfectly, and I realized I had woken up immediately.

She stared at the ceiling for a while, then threw back the covers, put on her slippers, and walked out of the bedroom.

-

The afternoon sun slanted through the glass windows, illuminating the understated yet tasteful bedroom, much like the style of the man sitting on the edge of the bed with his head bowed.

Hearing the bedroom door open, he assumed it was the nanny bringing hangover soup. Qi Shen, eyes closed, rubbed his throbbing head with his long, slender fingers and gave a low command:

"Put the soup on the desk, you can go now."

"Brother, it's me."

A soft, gentle voice rang out, and Qi Shen slowly raised his eyes. The warm, hazy sunlight illuminated his well-defined face. After taking off his glasses, his distinct eyelashes cast a light shadow under his eyes. His skin was as white as jade, and his deep, charming features became even more elegant and refined.

He watched her walk towards him step by step.

Her thin lips curved slightly upwards. "Weren't you sleeping? Did your brother wake you up?"

"No." Fang Zhi shook her head gently, biting her lip, and said slowly, "I woke up on my own and heard my brother's voice coming back, so I came to see you."

The girl stood upright and obediently, her hands folded over her stomach, her round, innocent, and pitiful eyes fixed on him. His reflection filled her clear eyes, as if he were all she could see.

The man chuckled softly but did not reply.

Fang Zhi knew that his words meant he didn't trust her.

In the past two years, her attitude towards him has changed; while she hasn't avoided him like the plague, she hasn't been overly eager either.

Not to mention suddenly coming to show concern for him.

Fang Zhi felt a little frustrated, but when she thought about why she had come to see him, she composed herself and spoke in a soft tone with a barely perceptible hint of flattery, "Brother, is your head bothering you? Should...should I give you a massage?"

She paused noticeably as she spoke, and it was clear that she rarely showed such tenderness and flattery towards men.

A glint of darkness flashed across Qi Shen's eyes, but it quickly vanished into the unfathomable depths of his gaze.

He stared meaningfully at the girl's fair and delicate face. "Zhizhi, you've suddenly become so well-behaved today?" He grabbed her wrist, pulled her onto his lap, buried his high, straight nose in her hair, and almost greedily inhaled every fragrance emanating from her. "Is there something you need to see your brother?"
