Qi Shen looked down at those unfocused eyes and knew at a glance that the girl's mind had wandered off somewhere again.
His Adam's apple bobbed, and he took the girl's hand, saying softly, "Staring blankly again? Hmm?"
“No.” Fang Zhi paused, looking up at the handsome face before her. “Brother… isn’t it too fast to get married right after graduation?” Her voice grew softer and softer as the man’s expression gradually turned indifferent. “I don’t want to…” As the last trace of a smile disappeared from the corner of his lips, and his eyes grew darker than the night, the rest of Fang Zhi’s words caught in her throat.
She lowered her head, thinking tremblingly:
He's going to be upset again because of what she just said.
Time passed slowly, and everything around seemed to freeze in time. The more silent the man became, the more panicked he felt.
Some people never need to express their anger or rage hysterically; they simply look at you without saying a word, and that is enough to intimidate you.
Just like her brother, who never showed his emotions, she would be subdued with just a faint glance from him.
After a while.
"Why did you stop talking?" Qi Shen let out a mocking laugh, so soft it was almost negligible. "What doesn't Zhizhi want?" His narrow eyes narrowed slightly, his deep voice calm and unhurried. "Don't you want to get married so early? Or do you have other ideas?"
As he spoke, Qi Shen's hand was already on her chest, the rapid beating of his heart transmitting through the girl's soft, delicate skin to his hand.
Fang Zhi's chest heaved noticeably as he explained in a low voice, "I don't have any other thoughts. None of my classmates have this idea of getting married right after graduation."
Qi Shen withdrew his hand, stared at her for a while, his dark eyes staring straight at her as if trying to see into the depths of her heart.
Just as Fang Zhi was about to succumb to this invisible yet omnipresent pressure, he heard the man speak softly and slowly:
"Shi Yan's newlywed wife graduated from university not long ago."
Only then did she notice her delicate, curly eyelashes trembling and her lips pursed.
His friend's marriage was an arranged marriage between two families, a betrothal agreed upon since childhood, unlike his and hers.
Qi Shen's gaze swept over her face inch by inch, then he pulled her back into his arms, his smooth chin resting on the girl's head. "And didn't Zhizhi say she was worried that things might change one day? So we should get married as soon as possible, take responsibility for each other, and put each other at ease."
Enveloped by his scorching body, Fang Zhi still felt an indescribable, bone-chilling cold permeating his entire body.
She longed to tell him honestly that she wanted to participate in this year's arts festival and that she had no plans to get married right after graduation.
Unfortunately, she didn't have the courage, and he wouldn't allow it.
Even if a sliver of courage arises, it will be easily dispelled by his methods.

After dinner, Fang Zhi obediently followed the man back to his bedroom. A bedside lamp was on in the room, its warm yellow light contrasting with the dimness in the corners. The sound of the shower in the bathroom couldn't mask the girl's sobs.
The water in the bathtub splashed and spilled onto the floor.
The light from the ceiling became blurry in her vision, and she realized that her wet hair clung to her fair and translucent body like seaweed, like duckweed.
She weakly supported herself on the man's beautifully sculpted and firm chest with both hands, like a mermaid in a fairy tale who had just been caught and brought ashore. She had an innocent and naive nature, but the occasional allure that appeared on her flushed cheeks was outrageous.
The bathtub walls were too smooth; she couldn't find a foothold.
The man may appear refined, but his behavior in bed is consistently forceful and aggressive, making him difficult to handle.
This is especially true tonight.
She knew he did it on purpose because she had resisted marrying him, and he was punishing her.
Tonight feels exceptionally long and unbearable to Fang.
She was like a pure white camellia blooming in the night, swaying in the wind. Her slender waist, which could be grasped in one hand, was like the stem of the flower in his palm, to be plucked by him, and to be in control of the whole situation.
She was looking down at him, but in reality, he was the one who was high above her.
"I...I have class tomorrow..."
Fireworks seemed to explode in his mind again, but the words that came out of his mouth were intermittent and weak.
The man slightly lifted his eyelids, his breathing heavy with desire, his deep, husky voice incredibly sexy, "Tomorrow is Wednesday, Zhizhi has afternoon classes."
The girl's desire to escape was obvious, but unfortunately she miscalculated; the man knew her class schedule inside and out.
As they spoke, Qi Shen made a firm refusal on her behalf.
The night was deep, and the room was filled with soft, seductive music.
She woke up the next day to find it was already noon, and the man beside her had already gotten up and gone to work. She had fainted during the latter half of the previous night and had no recollection of it. Only the feeling of being clean and not sticky, along with the soreness in her waist, legs, and arms, and the scattered red marks, reminded her of the frenzy of the previous night.

SQ President's Office
The phone on his right rang, but Qi Shen didn't take his eyes off the computer screen as he picked up the phone and answered it.
"Brother, it's me."
Accustomed to the little girl calling him "brother," the boy opposite him blurted out "brother," causing Qi Shen to momentarily lose his composure. He quickly recovered and asked calmly:
"Xiao Chen, is something the matter?"
"Don't be so cold to your own brother." Qi Chen curled his lips in dissatisfaction. "I'm going back to China in a few months."
"Um."
The man's concise single word successfully caused a flicker of astonishment to cross Qi Chen's eyes.
That's it?!
His own brother not only doesn't ask if he has finished his studies, but he also doesn't care where he lives after returning to China.
The young man was handsome and bore a resemblance to Qi Shen.
