Fang Zhi nudged the dazed Liu Siyi, and seeing that she still hadn't reacted, he had no choice but to take the initiative to introduce her to Qi Shen.
“Brother, her name is Liu Siyi.” She thought for a moment and added, “She’s my best friend at school.”
"Oh, right." Liu Siyi, who is usually cheerful, blushed for once. It was so embarrassing that she was so infatuated with the other person's brother.
"Hello, Liu." Qi Shen raised his hand and glanced at the exquisite and expensive watch on his wrist. "Zhizhi, we should go back now. Let's say goodbye to Liu."
As soon as he finished speaking, the two girls looked at each other in bewilderment.
Liu Siyi gestured with her lips, indicating that Fang Zhi should speak.
For some reason, even though Fang Zhi's brother was indeed very gentle and handsome, she inexplicably didn't dare to act rashly.
Taking in their subtle interactions, Qi Shen curled his lips into a smile and asked calmly, "What's wrong?"
“Brother.” Fang Zhi took a step forward, her slender, soft hand tugging at the hem of the man’s suit. “Could we take Siyi home? No one’s coming to pick her up today.”
Qi Shen lowered his eyes, his gaze falling on the hand that was holding him, his deep eyes behind the gold-rimmed glasses revealing an unreadable expression.
It was clear that his little girl was nervous when she saw him coming out of the school gate.
Now, he's suddenly become proactive in seeing his classmate off.
Qi Shen looked up at Fang Zhizheng's clear, black-and-white eyes, which were staring intently at him, and smiled faintly, "Of course."
Liu Siyi bowed to the tall man and said, "Thank you for your help today."
Qi Shen parted his thin lips slightly, "You're too kind."
The two little girls originally planned to sit together in the back of the car.
Qi Shen opened the passenger door before them, his tall figure deliberately standing between the two of them.
Seeing his little girl pause, Qi Shen casually asked, "Does Liu mind sitting in the back?"
When you ride in someone else's car, you have to do whatever the host says.
She still had that much politeness. Liu Siyi gave Fang Zhi a conciliatory look and said, "Of course I don't mind."
Fang Zhi silently sat in the passenger seat, and Qi Shen closed the car door and walked around to get in.
As Liu Siyi settled into the car, this was the scene that greeted her: a mature and handsome man leaned down and gently fastened the seatbelt for the young woman, his every move elegant and composed.
She sighed inwardly: Look at Zhizhi's brother, and then look at her conspicuous, resentful brother.
There's absolutely no comparison.
The cool, woody scent filled my nostrils, as if I were back that night, and I realized I was completely stiff.
She whimpered softly, "Brother, I can do it myself."
Qi Shen smiled. "It's already tied."
It was Friday and also the time when people were leaving get off work, so the road leading to Liu Siyi's house was very congested.
Ahead, the traffic was heavy, and the Bentley kept stopping and starting.
During the long drive, Qi Shen casually posed a few questions. He thought that asking his classmate Zhizhi would be more accurate than finding information from documents.
Since they were from the same school, Qi Shen was essentially her senior, and she was very interested in his legendary academic achievements.
"Our dean of studies that year was Director Lü, who was very strict about students' conduct."
The man's voice was soft and gentle, and his speech was neither too fast nor too slow.
Liu Siyi nodded in agreement, "I know Director Lü. He's become even stricter now that he's been promoted to vice principal."
Qi Shen chuckled lightly, "As long as you don't make mistakes, such as with your clothing or early romantic relationships, Director Lü is a pretty good person."
Fang Zhi's heart tightened when he heard the words "puppy love".
"No, that's not true," Liu Siyi assured.
The girl, who wasn't that shrewd, simply thought that Qi Shen had mentioned it casually, and that it was also for Zhizhi's own good.
She explained a few more words, "Brother, don't worry, Zhizhi and I are both very sensible, especially Zhizhi."
Qi Shen glanced at the quiet girl in the passenger seat and hummed in agreement.
Having exhausted all the preamble, Lu Qishen stopped speaking up in the latter half of the conversation.
The Bentley stopped at the entrance of an upscale residential area. The passenger window was open. Liu Siyi got out of the car, walked to the passenger side, and bowed politely to the person inside, saying, "Thank you, Zhizhi, and thank you, Brother Zhizhi, for bringing me back. Bye-bye."
"Bye-Bye."
After saying goodbye, the car was started again.
Fang Zhi suddenly felt uneasy because there was one less person in the carriage.
He glanced at Qi Shen's sharply defined profile.
Is it really true, as Liu Siyi said, that the brother was acting when he was drunk? But they are siblings.
Although they are not related by blood...
The little girl kept frowning and twisting her nose, making small movements. Qi Shen knew that she was struggling with a problem.
The Bentley stopped at a red light.
He tapped the steering wheel with his hands, his eyes fixed on the road ahead.
The rhythmic tapping sound reached her ears, as if it were striking her heart, and she felt waves of panic.
Even though he wasn't looking at her, she could feel his constant scrutiny.
In the silence, Qi Shen spoke slowly and deliberately, "Zhizhi, do you still remember what your brother taught you?"
Fang Zhi was stunned. Her brother had told her a lot about what she should and shouldn't do.
She bit her lip. "I remember."
"Can you tell my brother about it?" The man's voice was gentle, but his request carried an undeniable force.
Fang Zhi blinked, her voice weak, "Don't lie, don't hide it from your brother, focus on your studies..."
After the girl finished speaking, Qi Shen turned to look at her, a smile on his lips that didn't reach his eyes, "So how come I've never heard Zhizhi mention having a good friend at school?"
Beneath his sword-like eyebrows were dark, insightful eyes that gave Fang Zhi an inescapable sense of oppression.
Fang Zhi remained silent, unsure how to respond.
