Chapter 42 Catching Adultery

Jiang A.

Ning Wanzhen's car.

"Why is the old lady here?" Xian Si's voice trembled.

The man in black paused slightly, then said, "Hold her off."

Before Xiansi could react, he had vanished.

Soon, the black Rolls-Royce pulled up in front of her.

Xian Si's face turned pale instantly, her heart pounded wildly, and her fingertips felt like they were about to pierce her palm.

The car stalled.

The driver got out of the car.

It felt as if a huge stone was pressing on Xian Si's heart, making it extremely difficult for her to breathe.

Ning Wanzhen has never been here in the past four years.

She came suddenly; there must be something wrong.

How can I stall her?

More importantly, how to notify Sang Yuwan and Rong Zhi.

Xiansi was at a loss, her mind was a mess, and her heart was pounding with anxiety.

The driver opened the back door, and the people inside slowly got out of the car.

Xian Si's heart pounded faster and faster. She quickly swiped open her phone screen and pressed speed dial. Then, suppressing her unease, she respectfully asked, "Madam, what brings you here?"

"Is Wanwan inside?" Ning Wanzhen's face was haggard, yet she carried a hint of authority.

"Yes." Xian Si dared not lie.

She was Sang Yuwan's special assistant, and they were almost inseparable.

This is Sang Yuwan's private residence, so to say that he "is not here" would be like protesting too much.

Ning Wanzhen frowned, her anger growing stronger. "Why aren't you inside? What are you doing standing outside?"

Feeling like a thorn in his side, Xian Si took a deep breath, suppressing his panic, and replied in a low voice, "There is a document that needs Madam's signature immediately. I'm waiting for my colleague to bring it over."

Ning Wanzhen looked up and glanced at the villa. "Is Wanwan home alone?"

Xian Si's heart pounded like a drum. She swallowed hard and forced herself to answer, "Yes."

Ning Wanzhen withdrew her gaze, suppressing her emotions, and said, "Open the door."

Xian Si's expression froze, his body tensed, and sweat began to bead on his nose.

Ning Wanzhen frowned and scolded in a low voice, "Open the door for me now."

"Yes, Madam." Xian Si was startled and quickly turned around, taking the opportunity to glance at her phone.

No one answered the phone.

Her eyelids twitched so much that she had to enter the password three times before she could finally open the villa door.

Seeing her flustered expression, Ning Wanzhen's anger intensified. "I'll ask you one more time, are you sure it's just Wanwan alone?"

"Yes." Xian Si's heart skipped a beat. She gripped her phone tightly, biting her lip, and wondered to herself, "Does she know something?"

Ning Wanzhen scolded again, "If there were anyone else inside today, I would definitely fire you."

Xiansi was as anxious as an ant on a hot pan, large beads of sweat rolling down his forehead. He said tremblingly, "If the old lady doesn't believe me, she can go in and see for herself."

Ning Wanzhen gave her a furious look and walked into the villa.

Xiansi followed closely behind her.

Ning Wanzhen suddenly stopped, turned her head, and her face twisted slightly with anger. "Do you really need to lock all the doors, inside and out, just to go out and get some documents?"

The villa has three gates, all equipped with fingerprint locks.

Rong Zhi carried Sang Yuwan directly into the garage.

Xian Si didn't expect Ning Wanzhen to come.

Therefore, the main gates for normal entry and exit are always locked.

"I brought it on by accident," Xian Sixin explained softly, her heart burning with anxiety. She then stepped forward and entered the password.

Perhaps due to excessive anxiety, the phone slipped from his palm with a "thud".

Ning Wanzhen's face turned pale, her eyes wide with anger. "Tell me, who else is inside?"

Upon hearing this, Xian Si abruptly raised her head, her expression one of shock. "Madam, what do you mean?"

Ning Wanzhen's face darkened completely, her eyes almost spitting fire. "Even if you don't tell me, I know who's inside."

Xian Si's breathing stopped abruptly, and he suddenly shivered, his whole body turning ice cold.

It's true what they say, what you fear most is what happens.

My mind is racing.

She hurriedly squatted down, picked up the phone, and dialed the landline.

The bedroom, study, and even the bathroom are all connected.

Sang Yuwan's cell phone might be on silent, but her landline wouldn't.

Moreover, Rong Zhi is lucid.

He can hear you.

Xiansi pinched herself hard twice and slowly stood up. "Madam, if Madam knew that you didn't trust her like this, she would be very sad."

"Stop wasting time here, open the door." Ning Wanzhen saw right through her thoughts, her face turning ashen.

Strings took a deep breath, gritted his teeth, and entered the password.

Click—

The main gate of the villa opened.

Ning Wanzhen strode in, not even bothering to change her shoes, and headed straight for the elevator.

I pressed it twice, but there was no response.

"What happened?"

Xiansi paused for half a second, then made up an excuse, "Routine maintenance."

Upon hearing this, Ning Wanzhen's face darkened again, turning as black as the bottom of a pot. "Why did they have to do the maintenance at this time of year?"

Suppressing her panic, Xian Si continued to explain, "After the marriage, Madam has been living in the old Bo family house. For safety reasons, all electrical appliances have been routinely inspected."

Ning Wanzhen was not giving up and pressed it twice more.

There was still no response.

Xian Si clenched her fists, sweat seeping from her fingertips. "Madam, perhaps I should go upstairs and inform Madam to come down and see you?"

Upon hearing this, Ning Wanzhen's forehead veins bulged. "You stand here obediently and don't move."

Xian Si's stomach was cramping with anxiety. "Madam, you..."

Ning Wanzhen turned and walked towards the stairwell before she could finish speaking.

Strings followed two steps.

Ning Wanzhen turned around and glared at her hatefully, "Stand still and don't even think about tipping her off."

Xian Si froze.

Ning Wanzhen was getting on in years, and when she reached the second floor, fine beads of sweat appeared on her forehead, her breathing became a little rapid, and her knees ached slightly.

Downstairs, Xiansi's palms were sweating profusely.

At this point, it was no longer appropriate to call Rong Zhi and Sang Yu to inform them that it was late.

"What should we do? If Madam Bo catches Madam and Second Master together, Madam will be doomed."

She stood in the lobby on the first floor, pacing back and forth, her steps growing heavier and heavier.

Ning Wanzhen, panting heavily, went up to the third floor.

Reaching the bedroom door, I held my breath and listened intently.

"ah!"

I faintly heard Sang Yuwan call out.

Ning Wanzhen's anger surged, her face tense, her complexion a mixture of red and blue.

Clang—

Then came the sound of something heavy falling to the ground from the room.

Ning Wanzhen gripped the doorknob and pushed it in forcefully. "Wanwan, open the door."

No one answered.

Ning Wanzhen's temples throbbed, and blood rushed to her head.

An hour ago, she received a photo.

Rong Zhi was holding a woman.

The background image was blurred, making it difficult to discern its location at first glance.

The woman was nestled in Rong Zhi's arms, and only her back could be vaguely seen.

Ning Wanzhen hadn't initially suspected Sang Yuwan, but the jade hairpin in the woman's hair aroused her suspicion.

The flowers on the jade hairpin are small and exquisite. The petals are as white as snow, like frost flowers swaying gently under the moonlight, exuding a pure and elegant air untouched by worldly concerns.

This was clearly the wedding gift she gave to Sang Yuwan when Bo Xingzhi got engaged.
