Minglang stood naturally in front of Sang Yuwan.
Mingxiao's expression tightened. "Wanwan, go to the shop."
Sang Yuwan's eyes were dark and bright, and she curled her lips into a cold and arrogant smile. "Brother, there's no need to be nervous. Minglang is more than enough to deal with him."
Mingxiao worried, "It's better to go inside."
Sang Yuwan's expression remained calm. "Fine." She paused for a moment, then added, "Minglang, don't kill him."
"Don't worry, Madam." Minglang responded, his fist already thrown out.
Passersby immediately retreated a great distance.
"Sang Yuwan, don't you dare leave!" The man in the black windbreaker shouted loudly as he sparred with Minglang.
Minglang, her face full of anger, raised her leg and kicked him.
The man actually dodged it.
The next second, he had a sharp blade in his hand.
A flash of cold light caused the onlookers in the distance to scream.
Sang Yuwan paused for a moment and turned around.
The man with a buzz cut held a sharp blade and stabbed at Minglang without any mercy.
"Wanwan..."
"Brother, call the police."
Sang Yuwan originally did not want to use public resources temporarily, but she did not expect the other party to use such despicable methods.
Mingxiao hurriedly took out his phone and dialed the police.
Just as he was on the phone, a woman wearing a black leather coat and a black mask walked towards them. Her right hand, hidden in her sleeve, held a dagger.
Sang Yuwan's attention was focused on Minglang, and she didn't notice her.
"Mrs. Bo."
The low, husky voice reached Sang Yuwan's ears; it was eerie and somewhat unsettling.
Sang Yuwan's body trembled for a moment, her pupils contracted slightly, and her delicate brows furrowed. "Lin Ran?"
"Mrs. Bo, I told you not to be too happy yet." The woman lowered her voice, making it even more terrifying.
Sang Yuwan's heart tightened, and she subconsciously walked into the store.
The woman's hand, hidden in her sleeve, emerged, its sharp, cold light piercing the air.
"Wanwan..." Mingxiao was terrified and subconsciously tried to grab the woman.
Someone beat him to it.
A strong stench of blood immediately filled the air.
The woman's dagger pierced someone's back.
Sang Yuwan stared wide-eyed at the man who was holding her, still in shock, her lips barely moving as she murmured, "Second Brother."
The veins on Mingxiao's neck bulged out. "Ah Zhan."
“Second Brother…” Sang Yuwan’s eyes were red and her voice was trembling.
Mingzhan looked at her and raised his eyebrows forcefully. "Wan'er, don't worry, I'm fine..."
Sang Yuwan felt a lump in her throat, unable to utter a single word, her eyes welling with tears.
The stench of blood grew stronger, and Ming Zhan swayed.
Sang Yuwan turned around and hugged him. "Second brother, let's go to the hospital right away."
Seeing this, Minglang, who was fighting with the man, gritted his teeth and used all his strength to kick the man in the chest.
He rushed to Sang Yuwan's side and kicked the woman twice.
With a thud, the woman knelt on the ground.
The police arrived.
The ambulance arrived.
Mingxiao stayed behind to handle the aftermath.
Sang Yu called the ambulance that night and accompanied Ming Zhan to the hospital.
"Wan'er, I'm really alright..."
"Second brother, don't speak."
Sang Yuwan turned her head away and wiped the corner of her eye.
Ming Zhan forced a smile, his lips twitching slightly.
At that moment, he felt inexplicably at peace.
-
When Mingzhan's surgery was over, all of Ming's family members came over.
"Wanwan." Lan Xiya walked quickly to Sang Yuwan and grasped her cold hand.
"Auntie." Sang Yuwan's throat felt heavy, her voice hoarse. She looked at Ming Yu, who was slowly walking towards her with his cane, her nose tingled, and she choked up, "Uncle Ming, I'm sorry."
Lan Xiya looked at Mingyu with unease, "This was purely an accident, how can you be blamed?"
Sang Yuwan's fingertips dug deep into her palm. "Second Brother was injured while saving me."
Mingyu's face was grim, his chest heaving. "Without a man, you're just so useless."
"Master." Lan Xiya's heart skipped a beat, both shocked and frightened. "How could you say that about Wanwan? If she were useless, would Bo Yuanshan have handed the Bo family over to her?"
Sang Yuwan's heart was instantly filled with bitterness, and her eyes were red. "Auntie, Uncle Ming is right. I'm useless."
“Wanwan…” Lan Xiya cried.
Ming Yu stared at Sang Yuwan, his expression stern. "You haven't even settled into your seat yet, and you're already making enemies on all sides. Is this what Bo Yuanshan taught you?"
Sang Yuwan's heart clenched, and a faint red appeared at the corners of her eyes. She looked up and met his gaze. "Uncle Ming is right. I was too eager for quick success."
Ming Yu's forehead veins throbbed, and he said again, "You're useless. You've disgraced the Ming family."
"Master!!!" Lan Xiya could no longer listen. Her emotions surged, and her tone was filled with anger. "She is no longer a member of the Ming family. How did she disgrace you?"
“You…” Mingyu flew into a rage and raised his cane to smash it at her.
“Dad.” Mingxiao rushed over and grabbed his cane.
Lan Xiya already harbored a lot of resentment towards Ming Yu because of the Ming family heir issue. Taking advantage of this opportunity, she completely exploded, "You might as well kill me. Anyway, I've been married to you for so many years and haven't gotten anything good in return. What do you really think..."
"Auntie." Sang Yuwan's heart skipped a beat, and she interrupted urgently, "This is a hospital, let's talk about it when we get back."
“I…” Lan Xiya glared at Ming Yu, biting her lips and suppressing her emotions.
Sang Yuwan said to Ming Yu, "Uncle Ming, I will go to the Ming family to apologize in a few days. You should go in and see my second brother first."
Mingyu's face was ashen, his eyes filled with deep anger.
"Dad, let's go see Zhan." Mingxiao held his arm and spoke gently.
Ming Yu glanced at Sang Yuwan and Lan Xiya, turned slightly, and took a step.
Sang Yuwan pursed her lips, feeling as if a stone was pressing on her heart, making it hard to breathe.
Lan Xiya's emotions calmed down slightly, but her heart was still heavy. "Wanwan, why don't you go back and rest? You're not alone right now..."
In the past, Sang Yuwan would have paid no attention to these words.
My feelings are quite different now.
She is indeed pregnant.
The child arrived just in time, but it also brought her a lot of pressure.
Lan Xiya's reminder was correct; she wasn't alone now. The child should be the priority.
But how could she find peace of mind if she just left like that?
Hesitating.
Mingxiao walked out of the ward and said softly to Sang Yuwan, "Wanwan, Zhan wants you to go back."
Sang Yuwan lowered her head. "Big brother, please tell him to focus on recovering and not to think about anything else."
Mingxiao chuckled. "You two really know each other well; you say exactly the same things."
Sang Yuwan's eyelids twitched.
Lan Xiya sighed heavily, "Wanwan, go back. We're here, you don't need to worry."
Mingxiao continued, "Dad has arranged another bodyguard for you to protect you secretly. So don't be afraid. With us here, no one can hurt you."
Lan Xiya's eyes widened, speechless with astonishment.
Sang Yuwan felt a surge of warmth mixed with bittersweetness, and her eyes gradually reddened. After a few seconds, she smiled, tears welling in her eyes, and said, "Please thank Uncle Ming for me."
"Okay," Mingxiao replied. "Go back now, be careful on the road."
Sang Yu nodded and then said to Lan Xiya, "Auntie, I'm going back now."
Lan Xiya said with red eyes, "Let's go."
Sang Yuwan glanced at Mingzhan's ward, paused for a moment, and then walked towards the elevator.
After taking only a few steps, he saw a black figure walking towards him with sharp strides.
