Chapter 52 Whose Child Is It?

Sang Yuwan frowned slightly and hung up the phone.

Rong Zhi didn't reply to her either.

Back in her study, Sang Yuwan was somewhat stunned, a strange sense of desolation rising within her.

She hadn't felt this way in a long time.

The most recent instance was when Bo Yuanshan passed away.

Buzz—

My phone vibrated.

She took two deep breaths, lowered her eyes, and answered the call.

Liu Changqing called.

"Chairman Sang, Jiang Hanbo's wife wants to see you."

Sang Yuwan's face darkened, her brows furrowing coldly. "What are your demands?"

Liu Changqing replied, "She wants to tell you in person."

Sang Yuwan's pretty face tightened slightly, and her tone was cold and stern, "I'll come to the hospital at four o'clock this afternoon."

Liu Changqing replied respectfully, "Yes, Chairman."

After hanging up the phone, Sang Yuwan felt a little calmer.

For her, work is the only solace.

He flipped through a large stack of documents very quickly.

The contents of the approvals varied.

Agreed, Pending, Rejected.

-

Four o'clock in the afternoon.

She was on her way to the hospital.

She received a phone call from the old house, summoning her back.

As soon as she entered the hall, everyone who was sitting stood up.

"Patriarch, you must stand up for my Xinglan!"

Before seeing the person, one could hear the sound of weeping.

"Third Aunt, what's wrong?" Sang Yuwan asked softly, her expression indifferent. Her voice was cold and clear, devoid of any warmth.

A middle-aged woman dressed in a black velvet Tang suit with a subtle floral pattern pulled a young girl in front of her.

They are Fang Yi, Bo Hanshan's wife, and Bo Xinglan, his daughter.

"Xinglan, you should speak to the family head yourself."

Sang Yuwan sat down, gently lifted her eyelids, and coldly glanced at the scene.

"Sixth Sister, what's wrong?"

"Waaah..." Bo Xinglan lowered her head, twisted her hands, and sobbed softly.

Seeing her crying and sobbing, Fang Yi grew even angrier and couldn't help but speak up for her, "This useless thing, she was played for a fool and got pregnant. Now they're denying everything..."

Bo Xinglan covered her face and cried even louder.

Fang Yi continued her angry rant, "Cry, cry, all you do is cry! I told you not to have sex with men so easily. Now look what's happened, you've completely disgraced the Bo family."

Bo Xinglan cried so hard she could barely breathe, her whole body trembling.

Sang Yuwan understood.

She wasn't sure if it was just her imagination, but she felt that Fang Yi was making veiled accusations.

Ever since the day Bo Xingzhi was buried, after she and Rong Zhi rode in the same car, the Bo family began to suspect that there was something improper between the two.

Sang Yuwan's brows furrowed, and she slowly spoke, "Third Aunt, you called me back in such a hurry because of this."

Fang Yi was taken aback.

"Third Aunt, I don't think Sixth Sister's matter needs my handling. You are her parents, so it's more convenient for you to handle it." Sang Yuwan's tone was calm, but she exuded an irresistible aura.

Fang Yi took a deep breath, her expression changed drastically, and her words were tinged with anger. "This matter is really difficult for Han Shan and me to handle."

"Oh?" Sang Yuwan's lips curled slightly, her expression nonchalant.

Fang Yi glared fiercely at Bo Xinglan, her wrinkles brimming with anger. "If the person who toyed with her were just an ordinary person, you wouldn't need to be involved. But that man is..."

Bo Xinglan involuntarily clenched her fingers and lowered her head even further.

Sang Yuwan's eyelids twitched twice, a sense of foreboding rising in her heart. She maintained a calm expression. "Third Aunt, continue."

“He is…” Fang Yi was about to speak.

A servant came in to announce, "Master, the Second Master has arrived."

Sang Yuwan was slightly startled, sensing that today's drama was not simple.

Rong Zhi walked in against the light. The afterglow of the setting sun wove a magnificent curtain of light behind him, outlining his tall figure clearly yet somewhat hazily.

The sharp, resounding footsteps carried an innate air of authority.

Bo Xinglan was so frightened that she trembled.

Seeing this, Fang Yi quickly pulled her aside.

Rong Zhi walked into the hall, his gaze falling directly on Sang Yuwan, who was in the main seat, his deep eyes churning with unfathomable emotions.

"Greetings, Master."

Sang Yuwan's calm heart was slightly disturbed. She tried her best to hide it, but a complex light still flashed in her eyes. "Why are you here?"

Rong Zhi smiled slightly, his eyes seemingly filled with deeper meaning. "My third uncle called me and said something had happened at home and asked me to come and take a look."

A mocking smile appeared on Sang Yuwan's lips. "Heh, now that something's happened, he's hiding away."

Rong Zhi's eyes flickered slightly, but he remained noncommittal.

Fang Yi hurriedly explained, "Han Shan's health has not recovered. After hearing about Xing Lan's situation, he was so angry that he vomited a lot of blood. He is in the hospital receiving emergency treatment."

Sang Yuwan's eyes were incredibly dark. "Third Uncle specifically called Second Master over because he was worried I couldn't handle this?"

Fang Yi fell silent upon hearing this.

"Then why don't we leave this matter to Second Master?" Sang Yuwan smiled and made a move to get up.

Fang Yi hurriedly stopped her, "Patriarch, no one but you can handle this matter."

"Is that so?" Sang Yuwan's expression darkened again. "Then Third Uncle is worried that I will handle things unfairly."

Fang Yi's lips twitched, as if she wanted to say something but stopped herself.

Sang Yuwan's eyes darkened, and her pretty face tightened slightly.

Rong Zhi sat down to her lower right, his legs elegantly crossed, a faint smile seemingly emanating from his usually calm eyes. "Don't mind me, just pretend I don't exist."

Sang Yuwan glanced at him sideways, her heart skipping a beat. "Shut up."

Rong Zhi pursed his lips, a faint smile appearing on his face.

Sang Yuwan suppressed her emotions and said coldly, "Third Aunt, continue."

Fang Yi swallowed hard, her face flushing slightly, and her anger deepened. "The man who toyed with Xinglan is from the Ming family..."

Sang Yuwan's breath hitched, and she suddenly felt a chill run through her body.

He quickly went through the men of the Ming family in his mind.

This even includes Mingyi, who has just graduated from university.

She found it very difficult to associate any of them with Bo Xinglan.

The Ming family has strict family traditions, and none of the young masters in the Ming family are the kind of people who act casually.

If there's any exception, it's only Bright and Beautiful.

She entered the entertainment industry at 16, single-mindedly determined to become a big star. To achieve this goal, she was willing to risk her life for fame.

No sooner had Bo Xingzhi left than she hit on a hookup with Rong Zhi.

This skill is beyond the reach of ordinary people.

Rong Zhi turned his head and glanced at Bo Xinglan. "A man from the Ming family? That can't be right."

sarcastic and unsettling.

Sang Yuwan felt very uncomfortable. She glanced at him with her cold eyes, her gaze carrying a warning.

Rong Zhi seemed oblivious and continued to add insult to injury, "The four young masters of the Ming family are all outstanding individuals. Especially the second young master, Ming Zhan, who just won the world championship. Such an excellent person shouldn't have such a bad character."

Sang Yuwan's brows furrowed, her eyes darkening like night. "Let Third Aunt speak."

Rong Zhi's eyes were deep and dark, with a smile in them. "Alright."

To outsiders, he displayed a respectful attitude.

Sang Yuwan sensed a hint of ambiguity, her eyelashes trembling slightly. "Third Aunt, tell me, whose child is it?"
