Chapter 148 Does Madam Want Me to Arrange a Marriage with the Ming Family?

Sang Yuwan took a deep breath and slowly took the contents out.

In an instant, her breath caught in her throat, and her expression changed drastically.

"Aunt Jiang, this..."

Jiang Wu's expression was complicated. "I never imagined that the person who gave you a blood transfusion back then was actually Master Bo."

Sang Yuwan's pupils contracted sharply, and her heart pounded wildly. After a long, stunned silence, she finally opened her mouth slightly, "Why hasn't he mentioned it once all these years?"

Jiang Wu thought for a moment and speculated, "Wanwan, the person who truly loves you won't say everything all the time."

Hearing this, Sang Yuwan felt a pang in her heart, and a mocking smile appeared in her eyes. "He loves me?"

Jiang Wu was unaware that Bo Xingzhi had a penchant for men and didn't catch the sarcasm in her words. "I was worried before that he wasn't sincere with you, but I never expected him to love you so much."

Sang Yuwan's face stiffened, and her blood slowly congealed.

Such an important matter, given the six years that had passed, could have been easily told to her by Bo Xingzhi. Yet, he didn't. Instead, he led her to misunderstand, believing that the person who gave her the blood transfusion was Bo Yuanshan.

Bo Yuanshan, too, knew she misunderstood, but he didn't explain. He let her always feel indebted to him for saving her life and work hard for the Bo family business.

this……

Sang Yuwan felt a chill down her back and her palms were covered in cold sweat.

She pulled the thin blanket over herself and wrapped it up.

Seeing that something was wrong with her, Jiang Wu hurriedly asked, "Wanwan, are you feeling unwell?"

Sang Yuwan trembled slightly, her voice quivering, "I feel a little cold..."

Jiang Wu quickly got up and touched her forehead; her temperature was still normal.

"Wanwan, go lie down on the bed."

"good."

Despite the short distance, Sang Yuwan walked with unusual heaviness, her legs feeling as if they were filled with lead.

After she lay down, Jiang Wu immediately examined her, and the results showed that there was nothing seriously wrong. However, her face grew paler and paler.

Jiang Wu tucked the blanket around her, looking at her with a face full of heartache. "Wanwan, you can tell me what's on your mind. Don't keep it bottled up inside. If it's not convenient for me to listen, I can arrange for a therapist to help you."

Sang Yuwan stared intently for a long time before finally speaking, "Aunt Jiang, if the person who gave me the blood transfusion really is Bo Xingzhi, then he is definitely not Bo Yuanshan's son."

Jiang Wu nodded. "You're right. That's why I was in such a hurry to tell you." She paused, her tone becoming slightly urgent. "That's good too. The sooner we decide, the sooner we can make plans."

Sang Yuwan's gaze towards her was somewhat obscure and difficult to decipher.

She and Jiang Wu were not worried about the same thing.

Jiang Wu was worried that after the child was born, the Bo family would have doubts about the child's parentage.

What she was worried about was whether it was a coincidence that Bo Yuanshan had saved her back then.

"Wanwan, don't worry, leave the baby to me." Jiang Wu held Sang Yuwan's hand.

“Okay.” Sang Yuwan pursed her lips.

The nurse came in to hang an IV, and the two stopped chatting.

Perhaps it was the effect of the medicine, but halfway through the infusion, Sang Yuwan drifted off to sleep.

When Jiang Wu saw that Xian Si had returned, she got up and left the ward.

A moment later, someone pushed the door open and came in.

When Xian Si turned around, he was slightly startled and immediately stood up. "Second Master."

Rong Zhi's deep gaze fell on Sang Yuwan's face, his brows furrowed slightly, and he said in a low voice, "You can go out first."

Xian Si pondered for a moment, then silently walked out.

Outsiders may not know the relationship between Rong Zhi and Sang Yuwan, but she and Ming Lang are well aware of it.

Thud—

The ward door closed gently.

Rong Zhi pulled out a chair in front of the hospital bed and sat directly on the edge of the bed.

Even as she slept, Sang Yuwan still had a furrowed brow, her pretty face as white as porcelain, and her lips a pale color.

Rong Zhi looked at her, and involuntarily wanted to gently stroke her cheek. Before he could reach out, he withdrew his hand. The corners of his cold lips turned up slightly.

A quick glance revealed the corner of a file folder peeking out from the bedside table drawer.

Rong Zhi narrowed his eyes, his gaze darkening slightly.

My gaze moved upwards and landed on the IV drip bottle.

His sharply defined face grew even colder.

Now, the fake hospitalization has turned into a real one.

Rong Zhi's lips were taut, and his brows were furrowed.

Buzz—

My phone vibrated.

He glanced at it, hung up immediately, and then put it on silent mode.

The slight sound, though brief, still woke Sang Yuwan.

She paused for a few seconds, then slightly lifted her eyelids, curled her lips into a thin smile, and asked, "Why didn't you wake me up, Second Master?"

Rong Zhi smiled and said, "Seeing you sleeping so soundly, I couldn't bear to."

Sang Yuwan pretended to sit up, "Second Master's time is precious, I can't afford to waste it."

Rong Zhi pressed down on her shoulder, his smile tinged with a complex emotion. "Madam, are you implying something?"

Sang Yuwan pushed his hand away, sat up, and tidied her disheveled hair. "Second Master, where did you come from?"

Rong Zhi lowered his eyes slightly, pulled the blanket up a little, and then placed a cushion behind her waist. "Ming family."

Sang Yuwan showed no surprise, her lips curving slightly in a half-smile, "Is Second Master going to arrange a marriage between the Ming family and the Second Master?"

She herself didn't realize that there was a hint of jealousy in her teasing remark.

Rong Zhi raised an eyebrow and smiled gently, "Madam truly lives up to her reputation as the head of the Bo family. Even while in the hospital, she can still hear everything around her."

A mocking smile appeared on Sang Yuwan's lips. "This news has spread to every corner of the city. I'm afraid I'll be the last one to know."

Rong Zhi's lips twitched almost imperceptibly as he looked at her with a leisurely air. "Does Madam wish for me to form a marriage alliance with the Ming family?"

Sang Yuwan's smile gradually turned cold. "I don't want that."

The person she hated most in her life was Mingmei. She didn't want the grudges between them to continue.

Rong Zhi pursed his lips, "Then I'll listen to Madam."

Each word, spoken in a low, somber tone, conveyed a tender affection.

Sang Yuwan's heart suddenly tightened. She looked up, pursed her lips, and said nothing more.

Rong Zhi was silent for a few seconds before slowly speaking, "You stayed in the hospital for two days. Are you really sick?"

Sang Yuwan couldn't tell if he was concerned or blaming her. Her lips curved into a deeper smile, and she gave a self-deprecating laugh. "Second Master, are you worried that I'll neglect my work?"

Rong Zhi's expression tightened, and he said in a low voice, "What I'm worried about is..."

Before he could finish speaking, Sang Yuwan interrupted, "Open the drawer."

"Hmm." Rong Zhi's brow furrowed slightly as he reached out and opened the drawer.

Sang Yuwan glanced at the file folder. "Take a look."

Rong Zhi paused for a moment before taking the contents out.

He glanced at it twice, his brow furrowing slightly, and asked incredulously, "Bo Xingzhi saved you?"

Sang Yuwan curled her lips into a smile, "Knowing him as you do, if he really had saved me, would he have kept quiet about it?"

Rong Zhi narrowed his eyes and said in a deep voice, "You suspect that this information is fake?"

Sang Yuwan gently lifted her eyelids and looked out the window. The sunlight streaming in seemed to freeze in her eyes. "Bo Xingzhi is a master at manipulating people. If he really saved me, he will definitely use that to make me grateful to him and trust him."

Rong Zhi's fingers tightened. "Perhaps he hasn't had a chance to tell you yet?"

“No.” Sang Yuwan pursed her lips and continued, “Six years, do you think that’s not a short time?”

Rong Zhi sneered, "Bo Xingzhi is an extremely cunning man. Let alone six years, even sixty years wouldn't be a long time in his eyes."

Sang Yuwan turned her head to look at him. "So, you also think this information is fake?"

Rong Zhi put the items back into the file bag, his eyes full of meaning, "What's fake can never become real."

Sang Yuwan's heart skipped a beat, and she asked in astonishment, "Rong Zhi, do you know something?"
