Chapter 30 Pregnancy, Imminent

Sang Yuwan interrupted him, "Don't worry, I'll return it to you right away."

Minglang drove the car over.

The group quickly lifted Rong Zhi into the car.

-

Ten minutes later.

Rong Zhi went into the operating room.

Sang Yuwan stood at the door of the operating room, her eyes red.

Xiansi handed her a cup of coffee. "Madam."

Sang Yuwan took the drink, drank a couple of sips, looked at the tightly closed operating room door, and said in a cool voice, "In my name, I'll help Mingmei clear her name."

Xian Si was taken aback. "Madam, have you changed your mind?"

Minglang frowned. "Madam, you can't just give up such a good opportunity."

He was a servant of the Ming family, and he knew more about the grudges and entanglements between Sang Yuwan and Mingmei than anyone else.

If public opinion continues to fuel her current popularity, she risks leaving the entertainment industry.

Sang Yuwan didn't explain, her voice suddenly becoming hoarse, "Go and do it."

"Yes," Xian Si replied, took out her laptop from her briefcase, and began drafting official documents.

Minglang dared not leave Sang Yuwan's side again, guarding her like a door god.

In the distance, he seemed to see a familiar face.

"Sinking through a thousand calamities?"

He wanted to chase after her, but he was also afraid that something might happen to Sang Yuwan again.

The site manager and a supervisor rushed over, both covered in sweat.

"Chairman, is Second Master alright?"

Sang Yuwan turned around, her eyes seemingly calm, yet possessing an indescribable air of authority and sharpness. "Have you caught the person?"

The person in charge wiped his sweat and said nervously, "We've caught him. He's a temporary worker who's only been here a few days."

"Temporary worker?" Sang Yuwan's lips curled into a faint smile, her expression cold and sharp.

The construction company under the "Bo family" was personally trained by the former chairman, Bo Yuanshan. It is exceptionally capable, and its employees are highly professional. From its inception to the present, it has undertaken numerous large-scale projects, always completing its tasks successfully without ever experiencing such a major accident.

Now, such a huge problem has arisen, and the person responsible is actually a temporary worker. Moreover, coincidentally, the accident happened just as she was passing by.

Not to mention Sang Yuwan, even Minglang realized what was happening. "Madam, is someone deliberately trying to harm you?"

Upon hearing this, the person in charge swayed violently and staggered back two steps. "Madam, this is impossible."

Minglang's face darkened, and he rushed in front of him, grabbing his neck. "Who gave you the audacity to lay a hand on Madam?"

"I...I'm not me..."

The person in charge was terrified; his eyes nearly popped out of their sockets. Unable to breathe, his chest felt like it was on fire, burning his face from white to red, then from red to purple.

"Minglang, let go." Sang Yuwan's eyes narrowed, and she coldly rebuked him.

His bright eyes turned bloodshot, looking particularly frightening. After a few seconds, he gritted his teeth and slowly released his pale fingers.

"Cough...cough..." The person in charge slumped to the ground, coughing violently.

Sang Yuwan glanced at her watch, then looked back at the closed operating room door. After a few seconds of thought, she slowly said, "Xiansi, wait here. Call me as soon as Second Master comes out."

"Madam, where are you going?" Xian Si asked anxiously.

Sang Yuwan's lips curled into a half-smile. "Go see the person who wants to harm me."

She paused for a moment, then said coldly to Minglang, "Let's go."

The site manager scrambled to his feet, trembling, "Chairman, I..."

"Resign or be fired, the choice is yours." Sang Yuwan left with those words and strode away with sharp steps.

The person in charge sat down on the ground once again.

-

Sang Yuwan walked into the Chengnan Police Station and met the "temporary worker" who had almost killed her in the detention room.

Minglang was even angrier when he saw him than when he saw the person in charge. If Sang Yuwan hadn't stopped him, he would have almost drawn the dagger from his pocket.

"Who ordered you to do this?" Sang Yuwan sat down, her brows slightly furrowed, her tone indifferent.

The temporary worker kept his head down, neither speaking nor looking at her.

"I'm asking you a question, are you mute?" Minglang growled at him.

"Bring me his information." Sang Yuwan's face was as cold as ice, her eyes, as cold as the night sky, radiating a cold light.

Suppressing his anger, Minglang found the police officer and obtained his interrogation record.

Sang Yuwan's cold gaze fell on his family members, "Jiang Meng. Jiang Hanbo's younger brother."

Minglang's pupils contracted, and his eyes seemed to spit fire.

Sang Yuwan sneered, "The two brothers do look somewhat alike."

Jiang Meng kept his head down, his arms trembling slightly.

Sang Yuwan's patience ran out, and she raised her voice, "Even if you don't tell, the police can find out. Then you'll lose your freedom."

Jiang Meng froze.

After Sang Yuwan finished speaking, she stood up. Just as she was about to turn around, Jiang Meng suddenly spoke up.

"It's Second Master."

Sang Yuwan's expression suddenly changed, and she looked astonished for a moment.

Jiang Meng added, "My older brother and sister-in-law were both instigated by him..."

A fierce glint flashed in Minglang's eyes as he reached into his coat pocket with his left hand and gripped the dagger tightly.

The light from the detention cell fell on Sang Yuwan, casting dark shadows in her eyes, devoid of any warmth. "Is everything you said true?"

Jiang Meng lowered his head, not daring to look at her at all. His lips twitched, and he let out a low murmur, "If you don't believe me, go and check it yourself."

Sang Yuwan said coldly, "Of course I'll investigate. You'd better not be lying."

Jiang Meng shuddered.

Minglang raised his hand and pointed at him, "No matter who ordered you to do it, you're dead."

Sang Yuwan's lips curled slightly, but her expression remained calm and composed.

As she walked out of the police station, she paused, slightly raised her chin, and took two deep breaths.

"Madam, I will have someone bring Second Master back to the Bo family ancestral hall right now."

Minglang's chest swelled with rage, and he wished he could tear Rongzhi to pieces.

He had been by Sang Yuwan's side for six years, and there had been some close calls, but they were all purely accidental.

Things are different now than they used to be.

Sang Yuwan's current status and identity make her even more desirable.

Rong Zhi's purpose in doing this was very clear.

He wanted Sang Yuwan to simply disappear.

At that time, the entire Bo family and the "Bo Corporation" will belong to him.

Sang Yuwan gave a faint, cold laugh. "Are you so sure Jiang Meng isn't lying?"

Minglang was taken aback. "That's the second master of the Bo family. How dare he frame him?"

Sang Yuwan gave a cold smile that sent chills down one's spine.

Back in her car, she received a text message.

"Thank you, Sister Wan."

It was sent by Mingmei.

The coldness in Sang Yuwan's eyes deepened considerably, and she replied with a single sentence.

"If you want to thank someone, thank Second Master."

I had just finished replying when Xiansi called.

"Madam, the Second Master has come out of the operating room."

"Okay. I'll be right there." Sang Yuwan's pretty face tightened slightly, her features sharp and cold.

Xiansi added, "I've forwarded the email Dr. Jiang sent to you. When would you like to schedule your medical check-up?"

Sang Yuwan frowned slightly. "As soon as possible."

After thinking for a moment, Xian said, "Then tomorrow. I'll postpone the weekly meeting to Friday."

“Hmm.” Sang Yuwan lifted her eyelids and glanced coldly at the rearview mirror.

Minglang pursed his lips and gripped the steering wheel tightly with both hands.

Sang Yu hung up the phone and carefully read the email sent by the medical center.

With the aid of scientific methods, pregnancy has become a very mature procedure, but it is not 100% successful.

Moreover, if the first surgery fails, a second surgery cannot be performed immediately.

There needs to be at least a few weeks in between.

For Sang Yuwan, the prospect of a false pregnancy turning into a real one was an urgent matter.

The surgery can only succeed; it cannot fail.
