Chapter 127 Suspected Birth Certificate of Bo Xingzhi

“Sister-in-law…” Bo Xinglan sniffed, her eyes filled with tears, her expression a mixture of grievance and determination.

"Sixth Sister, I believe in you. From now on, you will be even braver." Sang Yuwan returned the phone to her and tucked the blanket around her.

Bo Xinglan pursed her lips, forcing herself not to shed tears.

Sang Yuwan smiled at her, stood up, and said, "I'm leaving now. You should get some rest."

Bo Xinglan blinked.

Sang Yuwan quickly left the ward.

What a coincidence!

I met Fang Yi at the door of the ward.

Fang Yi froze, then reluctantly greeted, "Patriarch."

"Third Aunt, where have you been?" Sang Yuwan's face darkened, and her tone became cold and sharp.

Fang Yi curled her fingers slightly. "I went back and got Xinglan a few changes of clothes."

Sang Yuwan lowered her eyes and glanced at it.

Fang Yi was indeed carrying a small travel bag, but whether it contained clothes or not was unknown.

Sang Yuwan said seriously, "The hospital has patient gowns; what you're doing is completely unnecessary."

Fang Yi was so angry that her gums itched, but she had no choice but to lower her head.

"Third Aunt, be nicer to Sixth Sister from now on. She's your own flesh and blood," Sang Yuwan added.

Fang Yi took a deep breath and clenched her fingers. "Don't worry, Patriarch, I will take good care of her."

Sang Yuwan warned, "Don't make things worse by making things worse."

"Yes...yes..." Fang Yi lowered her head and bit her back teeth.

Sang Yuwan concluded by saying, "Also, stay away from Ning Xin'er."

Fang Yi was startled and suddenly looked up.

Sang Yuwan strode away.

Fang Yi waited until she disappeared before muttering under her breath, "What a thing, always trying to act tough in front of me."

"She's no good."

A mocking female voice drifted into Fang Yi's ears.

She turned around abruptly, her pupils shrinking in shock. "It's you?!"

After reading Bo Xinglan's story, Sang Yuwan immediately went to see Dr. Jiang.

"Wanwan, have you eaten?" Dr. Jiang asked with concern.

"I ate," Sang Yuwan replied gently.

Perhaps because she ate too much at noon, she wasn't very hungry after get off work, so she ate a little something and then came to the hospital.

"Wanwan, you're so busy with work, I'm really worried about your meals," Dr. Jiang said with concern.

Sang Yuwan sat down, raising an eyebrow slightly. "Aunt Jiang, don't worry. I know what I'm doing."

"Working women really have a tough time, which is the main reason why I'd rather stay single than get married and have children." Dr. Jiang brewed her a cup of red date and goji berry tea.

"Thank you." Sang Yuwan held the cup in both hands, her features softening.

Since she left the Ming family, the only person who could truly make her relax was Jiang Wu.

Dr. Jiang returned to his desk, opened a drawer, and handed her something.

"Wanwan, take a look at this?"

Sang Yuwan hurriedly put down her teacup, took it, lowered her eyes, and examined it carefully.

The paper is slightly yellowed.

The creases are severe, and one section is even broken.

This is a baby's birth certificate.

The name field is blank.

The parents' information was crossed out with ink.

Sang Yuwan asked in confusion, "Aunt Jiang, whose birth certificate is this?"

Dr. Jiang frowned slightly. "I don't know either."

Sang Yuwan's heart raced. "This was also left behind by my mother?"

Dr. Jiang nodded.

Sang Yuwan carefully examined the crossed-out information about her parents, but to no avail.

“Your mother wouldn’t leave this behind for no reason, just like Ning Wanzhen’s induced abortion surgery record last time,” Dr. Jiang said.

Sang Yuwan glanced at the other information above, her heartstrings tightening inch by inch.

"Normally, birth certificates are given to the baby's parents, so why didn't the child's parents take it? Is the birth certificate invalid?"

"Impossible. It even has the hospital's official seal on it," Dr. Jiang denied.

Sang Yuwan paused, carefully examining the faded seal.

It is indeed the hospital's official seal.

“Everything’s fine. Why would Mom keep the baby’s birth certificate? Could the child have died?” Sang Yuwan was shocked as she spoke.

Dr. Jiang shook her head. "Since a birth certificate has been issued, it means the child has vital signs."

Sang Yuwan's breathing became heavy, and her brows furrowed deeper. She examined the entire room carefully once more.

Finally, her gaze fell upon the signature.

The place with the official seal also had a handwritten date.

It's been too long, the numbers are a bit blurry and hard to see.

Sang Yuwan carefully examined it and realized it was July 34 years ago.

The last number was covered by the official seal and was impossible to read.

"Aunt Jiang, can you tell what number this is?" Sang Yuwan handed the birth certificate to Jiang Wu again.

"Let me see." Dr. Jiang took it and glanced at it. Then she opened a drawer and took out a magnifying glass. "28?"

“July 28th.” Sang Yuwan’s breath hitched, and an expression of disbelief appeared on her face.

"Wanwan?" Dr. Jiang asked hurriedly upon seeing this, "Do you know who it is?"

Sang Yuwan's heart pounded. She picked up the teacup and took a sip. Taking a deep breath, she said incredulously, "Bo Xingzhi."

"Master Bo?" Dr. Jiang's expression changed drastically, and he asked her again to confirm, "You mean, his birthday is July 28th."

"Mmm," Sang Yuwan responded softly, her heart pounding.

“If this really is Mr. Bo’s birth certificate, then everything makes sense.” A hint of surprise appeared in Dr. Jiang’s eyes.

Sang Yuwan's temples throbbed, and she slowly spoke, "Ning Wanzhen had to have an induced abortion because of poor fetal development. Bo Yuanshan then adopted a baby boy from the hospital to be his son."

Dr. Jiang continued, "This child is Mr. Bo."

As soon as she finished speaking, her eyes widened and she stood up abruptly.

"Wanwan, if all of this is true, you're in big trouble."

Sang Yuwan tugged at the corners of her lips and smiled, "This really is a big problem."

Dr. Jiang thought for a moment, "Wanwan, why don't you find an opportunity to have Ning Wanzhen come to my place, and I'll sound her out first."

“Auntie, there are two possibilities. First, she knows that Bo Xingzhi is not her child. In that case, things will be easier to handle later. Second, she doesn’t know anything. Now that Bo Xingzhi is dead, there’s no way to verify anything. If you tell her everything, she will only suspect that the child in my belly is not Bo Xingzhi’s.”

Dr. Jiang's eyes suddenly darkened, and she felt as if a stone had been placed on her heart.

"How exactly do we prove it?"

Sang Yuwan thought for a moment, "What we have can't prove anything at all. Aunt Jiang, why don't you go back and check again to see if Mom left any other clues?"

Dr. Jiang nodded. "Okay."

Sang Yuwan put down her water glass and slowly stood up. "Aunt Jiang, whether this is Bo Xingzhi's birth certificate or not, you must keep it safe. After all, it's something Mom left behind."

After considering for a moment, Dr. Jiang said, "Wanwan, just to be safe, we'll each keep one. You can take this one."
