Chapter 235 The child in your belly... too...

The Ming family's bodyguard rushed over, "Madam, the Second Master has driven the car away."

Sang Yuwan frowned slightly, her expression hardening. "Did he say where he was going?"

The bodyguard shook his head. "Second Master didn't say."

Sang Yuwan said, "I understand."

After saying that, she continued walking into the hall.

Her brows furrowed slightly, forming two shallow lines. A thin mist veiled her starry eyes, revealing a hint of barely perceptible confusion and unease.

Perhaps it was because of what Bo Qingmei said to her on her deathbed, or perhaps it was because of her relationship with Rong Zhi.

Without realizing it, her feelings for him had clearly changed.

Where should we go from here?

Sang Yuwan arrived at the main living room on the second floor, gave the servants a few instructions, and then sat down on the sofa.

She leaned back, her eyelashes drooping slightly, each blink seeming to tell of endless weariness.

Her face was slightly pale, lacking a healthy rosy glow, and the faint dark circles under her eyes indicated the physical and mental exhaustion of the past few days.

The butler came up and reported, "Madam, Miss Six wishes to see you."

Sang Yuwan rubbed her aching brow bone and asked in a low voice, "Is she alone?"

The butler replied respectfully, "Yes. She's all alone."

After Bo Xinglan's incident, she was accompanied by members of her third wife's family every time she went out.

It's called protection, but it's actually surveillance.

Sang Yuwan had a poor relationship with Bo Hanshan and his wife, but she treated Bo Xinglan well.

She pressed her brow bone as she spoke, "Let her come up."

The butler bowed and replied, "Yes."

Soon, soft footsteps reached Sang Yuwan's ears. Immediately following, a timid voice rang out.

"Sister-in-law."

Sang Yuwan withdrew her hand, turned her head, and said with a relatively calm expression, "Xinglan, sit down."

Bo Xinglan twisted her hands together and walked up to her with a nervous expression.

Seeing that she was dressed so thinly, Sang Yuwan frowned. "It's so cold. Why didn't you put on another layer of clothing before going out?"

Bo Xinglan pursed her lips and said softly, "I was in a hurry to see you and forgot for a moment."

Sang Yuwan picked up a thin blanket from beside her and handed it to her, saying, "Sit down. Cover yourself with this."

Then he instructed the steward to brew a pot of fruit tea.

Bo Xinglan sat down on the double sofa next to Sang Yuwan, with the blanket draped neatly over her legs.

Her lips were slightly pursed, and she tried hard to control her rapid breathing, but the rise and fall of her chest still betrayed her nervousness.

Sang Yuwan said gently, "You rushed over, is there something you need?"

Bo Xinglan's heart skipped a beat, and her throat felt like it was stuffed with cotton, making it almost impossible for her to speak.

Sang Yuwan frowned slightly. "There are no outsiders here, so please feel free to speak."

Bo Xinglan watched as tiny bubbles rose in the teapot, her eyelashes fluttering. She took a deep breath and managed to squeeze out a sentence, her voice barely audible, trembling slightly.

"Sister-in-law, is the woman Ning Xin'er brought back my brother's biological mother?"

Sang Yuwan's heart skipped a beat, as if an invisible force had suddenly stirred it. It was like a huge stone being thrown into a calm lake, causing ripples to spread rapidly in all directions, creating waves.

She looked away, trying her best to suppress her emotions, her voice turning colder, "Shen Yilin contacted you?"

Bo Xinglan felt as if something was gently pressing down on her chest, her breathing becoming rapid and heavy involuntarily. Her heart pounded, echoing in her chest like a drumbeat. A complex expression unconsciously crossed her face.

She lowered her head, her hands clutching the thin blanket weakly. "Yes."

Sang Yuwan's voice turned completely cold, "Xinglan, you still have contact with him?"

Bo Xinglan's heart clenched, and he felt every muscle protesting. The pain spread from his limbs to his torso, as if a thousand needles were pricking him, making him suffer unbearably.

Instantly, her eyes reddened. "Sister-in-law, I haven't contacted him since the accident. It was him..."

Sang Yuwan already had her answer. Her gaze sharpened, and she leaned slightly forward as she poured two cups of hot tea.

"He's contacted you again?"

Bo Xinglan's face turned pale, and she nervously twisted her hands together, her knuckles turning slightly white from the force.

“I clearly changed my phone number, but he…”

Sang Yuwan got up and placed the freshly poured hot tea in front of her.

"Thank you, sister-in-law," Bo Xinglan said politely.

Sang Yuwan turned around and sat down, picked up her teacup, and gently blew on it twice.

"Xinglan, did he threaten you?"

Bo Xinglan was startled, her eyes flickering, occasionally scanning her surroundings quickly, as if worried that some unknown danger was quietly approaching.

"he……"

“This is the Bo family home, you don’t need to be afraid,” Sang Yuwan comforted gently.

"Sister-in-law," Bo Xinglan called out, then bit her lip. The fine beads of sweat on her forehead were particularly noticeable in the dim light.

She raised her hand and gently wiped her fingers twice.

My fingertips were ice-cold.

"Xinglan, tell me. What does he want you to do?" Sang Yuwan's face tightened slightly, and her tone became serious.

"He...he..."

Bo Xinglan clenched her fists so tightly that her nails dug deep into her palms, yet she felt no pain. Her breathing became rapid and shallow, each inhale feeling like a desperate attempt to draw in the thin oxygen from the air.

Upon seeing this, Sang Yuwan frowned deeply.

She took two sips of hot tea before speaking again, "Could it be that he wants you to kill me?"

"No...no..." Bo Xinglan's heart skipped a beat, and she suddenly looked up at her, her eyes wide open.

Sang Yuwan's eyes darkened, and a serious expression appeared between her brows. "If you don't speak now, we're going back."

Bo Xinglan's heart pounded like a drum, her face flushed crimson. After a few minutes, she finally mustered her courage and whispered, "Sister-in-law, Shen Yilin... he said... Aunt isn't my brother's biological mother... the child in your belly... the child... also..."

She spoke haltingly, her voice filled with deep fear and unease.

Sang Yuwan understood immediately, her gaze darkening. "What's wrong with the baby in my belly?"

Bo Xinglan was covered in cold sweat, her palms almost bleeding from digging. "Sister-in-law... I..."

Sang Yuwan remained calm and spoke in a cool voice, "Tell the truth."

Bo Xinglan nearly bit her lip until it bled, and two large beads of cold sweat rolled down her forehead. All color drained from her face.

Her heart was like a lone boat tossed about by a raging storm in the dead of night.

I struggled for a few minutes.

She lowered her head, her voice a little hoarse.

"He said the child in your belly isn't your eldest brother's... but..."

Bo Xinglan's heart raced, as if it would leap out of her chest; each beat was accompanied by waves of pain and unease. Sweat silently seeped from her forehead, sliding down her cheeks and dripping onto her clenched fists, cold yet real.

Sang Yuwan's lips curled into a cold smile, her expression unusually calm.

"He said my child isn't Bo Xingzhi's, so whose is it?"

"yes……"
