Chapter 172 President Si's wife is actually Su Niannian

These women saw that Su Niannian, who had just been interviewed a few days ago, had become President Si's personal assistant in the blink of an eye. The more they thought about it, the more envious they became, and the more unbalanced they felt.

What they didn't expect was that Si Lijue, who had just come out of the conference room, overheard these words.

Si Lijue's originally cold and stern face was now so gloomy it could drip water. His deep and sharp eyes shot out a cold light as he swept over the women who were gossiping about Su Niannian.

Suddenly, he roared angrily, "What nonsense are you spouting! My wife is not someone you Tom, Dick, and Harry can talk about! You've got some nerve, you're asking for it!"

The group heard a roar from above, a sound like thunder that echoed throughout the space, sending chills down their spines.

They looked in the direction of the voice and saw that President Si had a dark face and was staring at them angrily with eyes that looked like he wanted to kill them. They were instantly terrified, their faces turned pale, and their bodies began to tremble uncontrollably.

Is President Si's wife actually Su Niannian?

No way!

Wasn't she the intern who just arrived? How did she end up being noticed by President Si and becoming his personal assistant?

Everyone was stunned by this shocking news.

Time seemed to freeze at that moment. After an unknown amount of time, a trembling voice finally broke the suffocating silence among the group.

"Mr. Si, I'm so sorry, we...we didn't know Miss Su was your wife. Please forgive us this time."

The trembling voice was like a pebble thrown into a calm lake, instantly creating ripples.

As soon as he finished speaking, the others seemed to receive some kind of signal and rushed to apologize as well.

"Mr. Si, we are so sorry. We were blind to Miss Su's identity. It's all our fault for not recognizing her. Please forgive us this time. We will never dare to be disrespectful to Madam again."

"Mr. Si, we are so sorry. We were just too talkative and offended Madam with our nonsense. Please don't hold it against us short-sighted folks!"

......

For a moment, the words of these women, filled with regret and fear, mingled together, echoing in the air.

After settling Su Niannian in, Lin Fei walked out of the president's office.

What came into view was his domineering CEO standing straight in front of several secretaries, exuding a chilling aura. The secretaries looked at their CEO with fear and unease, begging for forgiveness.

He didn't know what was going on here, but he felt that the atmosphere in the entire secretary's office was unusually tense, so oppressive that it was almost impossible to breathe.

He walked up to Si Lijue and whispered, "Mr. Si, your wife is already waiting for you in her office. She even brought you some chicken soup that she made herself."

When the women heard Lin Fei call out "Madam," they became even more certain of Su Niannian's true identity. They shrank back in fear, lowering their heads as much as possible to minimize their presence.

Everyone couldn't help but complain in their hearts that these rich people were too good at having fun, especially President Si's wife, Su Niannian. She was too pretentious. Why did she have to hide her identity and come to the company for an interview as an ordinary employee instead of being a president's wife?

If she hadn't pulled this stunt, these people wouldn't have verbally attacked her, made baseless accusations against her, and then been caught red-handed by their own domineering CEO. Now look what happened, they're in deep trouble, if not dead.

When Si Lijue heard that Su Niannian had personally cooked soup for him, his expression softened slightly. He then ordered Lin Fei in a deep voice, "Fire all these women immediately. I don't want to see them again."

He was furious at the thought of their disrespect and rudeness towards Su Niannian, and he wished he could tear them apart.

They've only been expelled, not completely wiped out; that's already giving them a break.

"Huh? Fully open?" Lin Fei looked at his domineering boss with suspicion and said cautiously, "They all have positions to hold. If they are all opened at once, the work of the secretariat may be affected."

"Mr. Si, could we make a deal and give them another chance, or postpone their dismissal for another month?"

Without a second thought, Si Lijue refused outright, “No! I will not keep gossipy people in the company.”

Lin Fei said with a troubled expression, "But if they are all fired at once, what will happen to the work they are responsible for?"

Si Lijue remained unmoved, casually tossing a remark to Lin Fei: "That's something you, Assistant Lin, need to consider. Figure it out yourself. If you can't even handle this small matter, there's no use keeping you around." With that, he turned and walked towards his office without looking back.

Su Niannian is his woman and his precious treasure. Whether she is good or bad, it is none of anyone else's business to criticize her.

Moreover, he would never allow someone who disrespects his wife to stay by his side.

When these women heard that Si Lijue was going to fire them and saw his figure disappear at the office door, they placed all their hopes on Lin Fei.

They pleaded with Lin Fei together, "Assistant Lin, please go and beg President Si not to fire us. We know we were wrong, and we promise we won't do it again."

Lin Fei stared intently at the women in front of him and asked curiously, "How did you offend our CEO and make him angry?"

One of the women said with a wronged expression, "How could we dare to offend President Si? We just accidentally said something bad about someone, and President Si overheard it."

Lin Fei was so surprised that his jaw almost dropped. Looking at the women in front of him, he said, "You're not working properly during your work hours, but you have time to talk badly about others!"

Don't you know that Mr. Si hates his employees who are lazy, irresponsible, and don't do their jobs properly?

No wonder the big investors are angry with employees who just coast along like this.

The woman argued illogically, defending everyone: "We weren't being unjust; we were just casually making a few comments. It didn't take much time. It was just unfortunate that Mr. Si bumped into us."

Lin Fei was also confused by what these women were saying. Usually, when the employees were tired from work, they would whisper to each other.

Given Mr. Si's personality and character, he has always turned a blind eye and doesn't care much about such things.

It's rare to see such a large-scale operation like this.

Unless, of course, the people these individuals are discussing are people that President Si cares about very much.

After figuring it out, Lin Fei persisted and asked, "Who exactly are you talking about?"

Seeing Lin Fei so enthusiastically inquiring about what had happened, the woman assumed he didn't want them to leave and probably wanted to understand the situation and plead their case.

After all, the work that those few people were responsible for was not something that ordinary people could handle!

She didn't intend to hide anything and blurted out, "Su Niannian is the woman who came to our company for an interview a few days ago, worked in the secretary's office for a few days, and was then transferred by President Si to be his personal assistant."
