Chapter 44 One should cherish one's own mother.

The next day, a ray of morning sunlight shone through the glass onto the large bed. Xi Bao sat up with a yawn, glanced at Su Niannian who was still fast asleep next to her, and reached out to tuck her in.

Then, I dressed myself, got out of bed, washed up, opened the door, and went downstairs.

While Chen's mother was making breakfast in the kitchen, she suddenly heard footsteps coming from the stairs. She quickly peeked out of the kitchen to see what was going on.

When she saw a small figure appear before her, she was surprised and hurriedly went up to greet him: "Good morning, young master Xibao!"

Xi Bao's soft, sweet voice rang out: "Good morning, Grandma Chen!"

Chen's mother glanced at the clock and saw it was 6:30. She couldn't help but ask with concern, "Why are you up so early today? Why don't you sleep a little longer? Are you still getting used to being back?"

Xi Bao knew what Chen Ma wanted to say, and patiently explained with her big, round eyes, "Grandma Chen, it's not that I'm not used to the bed or living here, it's just that it's time for my run."

He has a habit of running in the morning and has been doing so for almost a year.

The reason he didn't get up early to run yesterday morning was because he was in a new and unfamiliar environment, and he was also worried that his mother would be bullied by his father, so he wasn't in the mood to run.

Yesterday at noon, Dad took Mom back to the old house. He saw that Mom was alright, and he noticed that Dad seemed to be treating Mom quite well. He not only poured water for Mom but also served her food during the meal. Only then did he feel completely relieved.

He's already missed a morning of running, so he absolutely must run on time this morning; otherwise, it would be irresponsible of him to take care of his health.

"Huh?" Grandma Chen stared at Xibao in shock. "Did you suddenly decide to go for a run today, or is it a regular morning routine?"

Xi Bao: "I run every day! Emily said that running regularly is not only great for your health, but it also allows you to breathe in fresh air and keep your lungs full of vitality!"

Chen Ma couldn't help but praise, "Young Master Xibao truly lives up to his father's reputation as the eldest young master's son. You love sports just like him!"

"Does Daddy also like to get up early to run?" Xi Bao's clear eyes were full of curiosity.

Aunt Chen nodded. "Yes! When the eldest young master was little, he was just as self-disciplined as you, running for half an hour every morning." Remembering that Si Lijue had been called away by a phone call yesterday afternoon and hadn't returned to the old house all night, she continued with a look of regret, "It's a pity he wasn't home this morning. If he were home, he could have run with you!"

Xi Bao, on the other hand, seemed unconcerned. "It's alright, there's plenty of time in the future."

Aunt Chen: "Yes, yes, yes, young master Xibao is absolutely right."

You'll have plenty of time to run with the young master later!

Xi Bao tilted her little head, blinked her big eyes, and peeked into the kitchen like a curious kitten. Then she asked in her childish voice, "Grandma Chen, what delicious food did you make this morning?"

"Milk, bread, eggs, steamed buns, soy milk, everything's ready!" Chen's mother said with a smile, then asked curiously, "Is there anything you particularly like to eat?"

Xi Bao shook her head. "I'm not a picky eater, as long as it fills my stomach. But my mom likes shumai, pan-fried buns, and crystal shrimp dumplings. Could you make some for her?"

Chen Ma was surprised that Xi Bao was not only sensible but also filial, and she liked this young master in front of her even more.

She ruffled Xibao's fluffy hair and replied with a smile, "Of course, we happen to have some ingredients, I'll make it right away."

"Thanks, Grandma Chen!" Xi Bao smiled broadly at Chen Ma, then glanced down at her watch. "I have to hurry and go for a run, or I'll be late!"

Aunt Chen, still worried, instructed, "Okay, young master, you must be careful and not run too far."

"Don't worry, Grandma Chen, I won't go far." After saying that, Xibao ran off in a flash.

Seeing that Xi Bao's small figure disappeared in the blink of an eye, Chen Ma was a little worried about his safety. She found the housekeeper and told him to have the bodyguard follow Xi Bao at a distance to protect him.

Half an hour later, Xibao returned from her run, greeted Chen Ma, and then ran up to the second floor with her short legs.

When he pushed open the bedroom door, he saw his mother sleeping soundly with her head covered by the blanket. He couldn't help but shake his head and sigh helplessly.

Sigh! You have to love your own mother, what else can you do?

As long as she sleeps soundly and is in good health, nothing else matters!

Xi Bao climbed onto the bed, lifted the blanket covering Su Niannian's head, pinched her cheek, and called out in a childish voice, "Mommy, get up!"

Su Niannian's sweet dream was disturbed, and she felt a little resentful. She hugged the quilt and turned over, saying, "Let me sleep a little longer, just a little while."

"No way!" Xi Bao refused without hesitation, pushing Su Niannian in front of her. "Mom, you forgot you promised Dad you'd go for a job interview yesterday afternoon. You can't be late!"

Su Niannian let out a wail. Does the Si family have this bad habit of getting up early in their genes?

Yesterday morning, she was sleeping soundly in the Supreme Villa in Dongshan with Si Lijue when he dragged her out of bed before seven o'clock.

She thought that since Si Lijue wasn't at the old house, she could sleep in comfortably.

Who would have thought that this morning, I would be dragged out of bed by my own son again.

She felt that her birth chart clashed with the men of the Si family, and that she was completely doomed by the father and son of the Si family.

Su Niannian hugged the blanket tightly, squinted her eyes, and planned to stay still for two more minutes.

Seeing this, Xi Bao's lips curled into a devilishly sweet smile. "Mom, I have to remind you, if you are late and delay the interview, Dad won't let you see Xi Bao."

Moreover, Dad said the Si family doesn't support idlers. You'll be kicked out by Dad, and he'll prevent us from seeing each other. The consequences will be severe.

Then, Mom will never see your smart, handsome, clever, and adorable baby again, and baby will never see Mom, who is loved by everyone and adored by flowers.

Your baby will miss you a lot, and you will miss your baby a lot too...

"Stop, stop, stop! I'll get up, I'll get up right away!"

Upon hearing her beloved son chanting sutras, and thinking that she would never see Xibao again, Su Niannian was wide awake and sat up abruptly in bed.

When Xibao saw the person on the bed sit up, she smiled sweetly at her, revealing two pure white little tiger teeth, and greeted her earnestly: "Hi, Mom, good morning!"

Su Niannian replied, somewhat amused and exasperated, "Hi! Good morning, my little one."

Xi Bao climbed off the bed and walked towards the wardrobe, chattering as she went, "Grandma Chen made your favorite shumai, crystal shrimp dumplings, and pan-fried buns this morning!"

"Did you tell Aunt Chen that I like to eat these?" Su Niannian jumped off the bed in a flash and asked curiously with her big eyes.
