They visited the dark corners of the city, filled with all kinds of people from all walks of life. Shen Qingchen always followed Jiang Zhi closely, protecting her. Once, they went to question a gangster who had once crossed paths with Tang Junxi. The gangster saw the two well-dressed people coming to this shabby place and thought they were here to provoke them, so he called a group of accomplices and surrounded them.
"Who are you? What are you doing here?" the gang leader asked arrogantly.
"We just want to ask you something about Tang Junxi." Jiang Zhi said calmly.
"Tang Junxi? I don't know any Tang Junxi! Get out of here right now, or I'll show you what's happening today!" said the gang leader, waving the stick in his hand.
Shen Qingchen stepped forward and blocked Jiang Zhi behind him. "You'd better think clearly before you speak. We are not here to cause trouble, but we are not afraid of it. If you know anything about Tang Junxi, you'd better tell the truth, otherwise you can't afford the consequences."
The gang leader hesitated when he saw Shen Qingchen's momentum. But he still didn't want to show weakness in front of his little brother.
"Hmph! Do you think I'm afraid of you? Brothers, go ahead!" The gang leader gave an order, and his accomplices rushed towards Shen Qingchen and Jiang Zhi.
Although Shen Qingchen was usually an elegant CEO, he had also learned some self-defense skills. He calmly dealt with the attacks of the thugs while protecting Jiang Zhi. Jiang Zhi was not idle either. She used her skills to cleverly dodge the attacks and counterattack at the right time.
