In the restaurant, disrupted by Jiang Yao's men, their romantic date came to an abrupt end. Jiang Zhi and Shen Qingchen were filled with displeasure. They had been enjoying a rare moment of warmth when this unexpected turn of events abruptly interrupted them. A flicker of anger flashed in Jiang Zhi's eyes; she had never expected Jiang Yao to do such a drastic act. Meanwhile, Shen Qingchen's face was as gloomy as the sky before a storm, his anger blazing fiercely in his chest.
Shen Qingchen held Jiang Zhi's hands tightly, and those hands conveyed strength and comfort, as if telling Jiang Zhi that he would protect her and would not let her come to any harm. They quickly left the restaurant. The street lights outside were just beginning to come on, and pedestrians were coming and going, but their mood was as if shrouded in dark clouds.
Back home, Shen Qingchen's fury remained undimmed. He paced back and forth in his room, his mind replaying Jiang Yao's actions. He knew this woman had become a huge obstacle to his and Jiang Zhi's relationship. If he didn't stop her, who knew what more extreme things she would do. So, he decided to take action, to make Jiang Yao know once and for all that she couldn't continue to act so recklessly.
Shen Qingchen sat at his desk and picked up the phone. He was going to use his connections to investigate Jiang Yao's background. His voice was low and firm, every word radiating undeniable determination. He contacted his friends in the business and intelligence communities, connections he had accumulated over the years. He knew that if he wanted to deal with Jiang Yao, he had to first understand her background and find her weaknesses.
While waiting for the results of the investigation, Shen Qingchen was not idle. He began to think about how to protect Jiang Zhi. He thought about increasing the number of bodyguards, having them guard Jiang Zhi at all times. He also planned to arrange a safer place for Jiang Zhi, a place where Jiang Yao would not find him. He wrote and sketched on paper, listing a series of protective measures, each one expressing his deep love for Jiang Zhi.
A few days passed, and the results of the investigation finally came in. Shen Qingchen's brow furrowed as she looked at the detailed information on Jiang Yao in her hand. The information revealed that Jiang Yao was the daughter of a wealthy family, spoiled from childhood. Her family background had endowed her with willful and jealous traits. She had always had smooth sailing in relationships, always getting what she wanted easily. So when Shen Qingchen ignored her pursuits, her jealousy was magnified.
Chen Qingchen knew that to deal with such a spoiled woman, he had to take tough measures. He decided to go to Jiang Yao in person and warn her face to face. He put on a sharp suit, the kind he would wear in business negotiations. Today, he would treat Jiang Yao as an opponent he must conquer.
Shen Qingchen arrived at Jiang Yao's home, a luxurious villa surrounded by various precious flowers and plants. He stood at the door and pressed the doorbell. The sound of the doorbell echoed in the villa, as if it was a prelude to the coming storm.
When Jiang Yao saw Shen Qingchen appear at her door, a flash of surprise flashed in her eyes, but she soon noticed the coldness on Shen Qingchen's face. She tried to pretend to be innocent and said in a soft voice: "Qingchen, why are you here?"
Shen Qingchen ignored her feigned tenderness. His eyes were as cold as a lake in winter. He said bluntly, "Jiang Yao, I'm here today to warn you not to ruin my relationship with Jiang Zhi again. I already know everything you've done before. Your jealousy has made you unscrupulous, but I won't tolerate you going on like this."
Jiang Yao's expression turned grim. She bit her lip and said, "Qingchen, why can't you see the good in me? What's so good about Jiang Zhi? All she has on her mind is revenge. She's not worthy of you at all."
Shen Qingchen sneered and said, "Jiang Yao, you don't understand Jiang Zhi at all. Her revenge is for justice. She is a strong and brave woman. And you, your behavior is so despicable. You sent people to create chaos in the restaurant and spread rumors. Do you think that will make me leave her? You are wrong. These methods of yours will only make me hate you more."
Jiang Yao was so angry at Shen Qingchen's words that she trembled all over. She screamed, "Shen Qingchen, you will regret it. You chose her, and you will be in trouble."
Shen Qingchen took a step forward, his aura causing Jiang Yao to involuntarily step back. He said in a low voice, "Jiang Yao, I don't care what tricks you use, but I'm telling you, if it happens again, I won't be polite to you. You know how powerful my family is in the business world. I have the power to make you and your family pay the price."
A trace of fear flashed in Jiang Yao's eyes. She knew that Shen Qingchen was not trying to scare her. The Shen family's position in the business world was very important. If she really offended Shen Qingchen, she and her family might face a huge crisis. But the jealousy and unwillingness in her heart made her still say stubbornly: "Shen Qingchen, don't think I'm afraid of you."
Shen Qingchen didn't say anything more to her. He turned and left Jiang Yao's house. He knew that his warning had been conveyed to Jiang Yao. Although she might not give up, at least she would be cautious.
Returning to Jiang Zhi, Shen Qingchen told her about her meeting with Jiang Yao. Jiang Zhi looked at Shen Qingchen, her heart filled with emotion. She knew that Shen Qingchen was willing to face all these troubles and dangers for her. She gently hugged Shen Qingchen and said, "Qingchen, thank you. But I don't want you to be involved in these disputes because of me."
Shen Qingchen gently stroked Jiang Zhi's hair and said, "Zhizhi, don't say that. I love you, and I am willing to face everything for you. Besides, I won't let Jiang Yao succeed. Our relationship is indestructible."
