They walked around the factory wall and found a small window. Shen Qingchen broke the window with force, then climbed in first and then pulled Jiang Zhi in. The factory was filled with a pungent smell, and there were old machines and debris everywhere. They walked carefully, every step full of vigilance.
Suddenly, Jiang Zhi heard a slight sound of footsteps. She signaled Shen Qingchen to stop, and then they hid behind a machine. They saw several figures swaying in the dark. They went around the side of the warehouse and found a vent. Shen Qingchen lifted Jiang Zhi up so that she could see what was going on inside the vent. Jiang Zhi saw that the warehouse was filled with various boxes, and those people were opening a box that seemed to contain some documents.
At this moment, Jiang Zhi accidentally made a noise. The people in the warehouse immediately became alert after hearing the noise. "Who's outside?" someone shouted.
Jiang Zhi and Shen Qingchen knew they were discovered, so they ran back quickly. But those people had already caught up with them, and they rushed towards them with weapons.
Shen Qingchen pulled Jiang Zhi and hid in a corner. He took out his pistol and fired at the people chasing him, warning them not to get close. Those people were startled by the gunshot, but they did not retreat. Instead, they rushed over more frantically.
