Jiang Zhi and Shen Qingchen return from their island trip, as if taking with them the tranquility of the sea and the warmth of the sun, stepping into their shared home. The morning sun shone through the gaps in the curtains onto the bedroom floor, casting streaks of golden light. Jiang Zhi woke up in this soft light. She turned to look at Shen Qingchen, who was still sleeping soundly. His face looked particularly peaceful in his sleep. Jiang Zhi's heart was filled with happiness. She gently got out of bed, put on soft slippers, and walked to the kitchen. She decided to make a special breakfast for Shen Qingchen to celebrate this new beginning.
In the kitchen, Jiang Zhi skillfully opened the refrigerator and took out fresh ingredients. She hummed a little tune while preparing breakfast. Thinking about the food that Shen Qingchen liked to eat, she carefully fried eggs, toasted bread, and brewed a pot of fragrant coffee. The sizzling sound of fried eggs, the aroma of toasted bread, and the rich taste of coffee filled the entire kitchen, just like their current love, full of the fireworks of life, but also extremely sweet.
Shen Qingchen woke up to the alluring aroma. He stretched, put on his clothes and walked towards the kitchen. When he saw Jiang Zhi busy in the kitchen, his heart was filled with emotion. He walked over gently, hugged Jiang Zhi from behind, and kissed her on the cheek. "Good morning, dear." Shen Qingchen said gently. Jiang Zhi turned her head, her face filled with a happy smile, "Good morning, breakfast will be ready soon."
They sat at the dining table, enjoying this simple and warm breakfast. Jiang Zhi talked about some of her little ideas for her future life, such as adding some green plants to the living room to make the house more lively; or learning painting together in the afternoon to add interest to life. Shen Qingchen listened carefully. He looked into Jiang Zhi's bright eyes and felt that he was the happiest person in the world. He said that he fully agreed with Jiang Zhi's ideas and added that he could go to the flower market to pick plants on weekends and also take some painting classes.
After breakfast, they began to sort out the things in the house. In the process of sorting, they found the ticket stubs left over from their previous movie trips together. They were small souvenirs of their love journey. Jiang Zhi carefully placed these ticket stubs in a beautiful box. She smiled and said to Shen Qingchen: "These ticket stubs are the testimony of our love. It will be interesting to take them out and look at them when we are old." Shen Qingchen nodded in agreement and said: "Behind each ticket stub are our memories. We must keep them well."
While tidying up the study, they found some of Shen Qingchen's old business plans. Shen Qingchen picked up these plans and was filled with emotion. He said to Jiang Zhi, "These plans bear witness to my hard work in the business world. In the past, I only cared about work and thought that my career was everything to me. But now, you are the most important part of my life." Jiang Zhi patted his hand gently and said, "Career is also a part of our lives. We can work together to make our careers more successful and our love more fulfilling."
In the afternoon, they decided to go for a walk in the nearby park together. The park was shaded by green trees, flowers were in full bloom, and people were playing on the lawn. Jiang Zhi and Shen Qingchen walked hand in hand on the path, enjoying this pleasant time. They saw an elderly couple sitting on a bench, leaning on each other and basking in the sun. Jiang Zhi said to Shen Qingchen, "Look at that old couple, they are so happy. I hope we can be like them when we are old." Shen Qingchen held Jiang Zhi's hand tightly and said, "We will. We will grow old together and be happy forever."
As they continued walking, they came across a vendor selling balloons. The colorful balloons were floating in the air, looking very beautiful. Shen Qingchen bought the biggest balloon for Jiang Zhi, who happily took it like a child. She ran in front with the balloon, and Shen Qingchen chased after her with a smile. At this moment, they seemed to have forgotten all their troubles and were immersed in this simple happiness.
After returning home, they began planning their evening activities. Jiang Zhi suggested watching an old movie together, and Shen Qingchen agreed. They settled on the sofa, turned on the TV, and selected a classic romance. During the film, Jiang Zhi leaned on Shen Qingchen's shoulder, while Shen Qingchen gently held her. The love story in the movie resonated with them, and they cherished their relationship even more.
At night, they lay in bed together, reviewing every detail of the day. Jiang Zhi said, "Today was so fulfilling and happy." Shen Qingchen said, "We will be so happy every day in the future." They kissed each other and fell asleep in a happy atmosphere.
However, a new beginning doesn't mean there aren't challenges. While their love is stronger, they also know that various difficulties will still await them in their future lives. For example, they might encounter new competitors in their careers or unexpected events in their families. But they are not afraid, because they believe that as long as they support each other, no difficulty can stop them.
They knew that in this ever-changing world, the only constant was their love for each other.
