Chapter 2 Entering the City

Jiang Zhi was standing at the entrance of a bustling city, carrying a simple bag. His eyes showed both anxiety about the unknown and firm determination.

She was wearing a simple yet elegant white dress, with her long hair draped over her shoulders. The breeze gently blew her hair, making it flutter slightly, and she had an extraordinary temperament.

The city is full of tall buildings, and the huge glass curtain walls sparkle brightly in the sun.

The streets are crowded with cars and people, and the noise is endless.

In stark contrast to the quiet countryside where she once lived, this place is full of a fast-paced life and endless energy.

Jiang Zhi took a deep breath, trying to calm the inexplicable feeling of loneliness that was welling up in his heart.

She knew that from this moment on, she would face this strange and challenging world alone.

She held the straps tightly, as if this could give her some strength.

She took slow steps and blended into the crowd.

People around were hurrying around, some were wearing neat suits and holding briefcases, obviously busy office workers;

Some of them are wearing fashionable clothes and have confident smiles on their faces. They may be young people who pursue fashion.

And Jiang Zhi stands out in this bustling city.

As she walked, she observed her surroundings.

There are all kinds of shops on both sides of the street, with a wide range of goods displayed in the windows.

The flashing neon lights add a touch of brilliant color to the city.

Jiang Zhi looked at all this and felt a lot of emotions in his heart.

She recalled her life in the countryside, which was simple and unpretentious, but full of warmth and tranquility.

But now, she was in this bustling city, but felt an unprecedented loneliness.

As they walked, Jiang Zhi came to a park.

The park is full of green trees and lush flowers and plants, forming a sharp contrast with the hustle and bustle outside.

She found a bench to sit down, put down her bag and took a short rest.

The sunlight shines through the gaps in the leaves and falls onto the ground, forming spots of light.

Jiang Zhi closed his eyes, feeling the caress of the breeze, and the loneliness in his heart was slightly relieved.

She began to recall the purpose of her coming here - to avenge Tang Junxi.

Tang Junxi, the man who grew up with her and loved her dearly, was brutally murdered.

She couldn't accept this fact, she had to find the murderer and seek justice for him.

Thinking of this, the fire of determination ignited in Jiang Zhi's eyes again.

After resting for a while, Jiang Zhi picked up his bag and continued on his way.

She came to the place where Tang Junxi once lived - an old residential area.

The buildings in the community are a bit dilapidated, and the walls are covered with mottled marks.

Jiang Zhi walked into the community and looked around.

Everything here felt familiar yet strange to her.

She came to the building where Tang Junxi once lived, looked up at the closed window, her heart filled with emotion.

She seemed to see every detail of Tang Junxi's life here, and those beautiful memories flooded into her heart like a tide.

Jiang Zhi took a deep breath and tried hard to control his emotions.

She walked into the corridor, and the stairwell was filled with a stale smell.

Jiang Zhi walked carefully, afraid of making any noise.

She came to Tang Junxi's door, which was tightly closed with some small advertisements posted on it.

Jiang Zhi gently stroked the door, his heart filled with sadness.

She stood at the door for a moment, then turned and left.

She began to ask around in the community for news about Tang Junxi.

She met an old lady who was sitting at the door basking in the sun.

Jiang Zhi stepped forward and asked politely, "Grandma, do you know Tang Junxi?"

The old lady raised her head and looked at Jiang Zhi, her eyes full of confusion.

Jiang Zhi quickly explained, "Tang Junxi is my friend. He used to live here. I want to find out about him."

The old lady thought for a moment and said, "Oh, I seem to have some impression of him. He's a nice guy, but I don't know much about him. You can ask other people."

Jiang Zhi thanked the old lady and continued looking for clues.

She met another middle-aged woman who was hanging clothes downstairs.

Jiang Zhi stepped forward and asked, "Auntie, do you know Tang Junxi?"

The woman glanced at Jiang Zhi and said, "Tang Junxi? I don't know him. But there are a lot of people living in this community, and I may not know them all. You can ask the neighborhood committee; they might know him."

Jiang Zhi thanked the woman and decided to go to the neighborhood committee to inquire.

Jiang Zhi came to the neighborhood committee, where a staff member was sitting.

After Jiang Zhi explained his purpose, the staff member checked his information and said, "Tang Junxi, I have some impression of him. He seems to have moved away some time ago. I'm not sure where he went."

Jiang Zhi felt disappointed, but she didn't give up. She continued to ask, "Did you hear anything unusual about him before he moved away?"

The staff member thought for a moment and said, "There doesn't seem to be anything unusual. However, I heard that he had contact with a stranger before he moved away."

Jiang Zhi was delighted and asked quickly, "Who is that stranger? Do you know?"

The staff member shook his head and said, "I don't know. I just heard it from others. You can ask other people in the community. Maybe someone has seen the stranger."

Jiang Zhi thanked the staff and returned to the community.

She began to ask around if anyone had seen Tang Junxi interacting with the stranger.
