Chapter 212 Jiang Yao's Secret Observation

Jiang Yao stood in a corner of a small seaside town, the salty sea breeze rustling through her hair, but it couldn't dispel the flames of jealousy burning within her. Through the lenses of her sunglasses, she stared intently at Jiang Zhi and Shen Qingchen strolling arm in arm on the beach not far away. Their laughter was like sharp arrows, piercing Jiang Yao's heart again and again.

Jiang Yao was originally a woman with a high opinion of herself. She always believed that her beauty and talent were enough to attract any man, especially a man as outstanding as Shen Qingchen. However, reality dealt her a heavy blow. Shen Qingchen only had eyes for Jiang Zhi, a woman who she believed was not worthy of Shen Qingchen at all. She could not figure out why she was inferior to Jiang Zhi.

She looked at Jiang Zhi's simple yet elegant white dress, the hem of which fluttered gently in the sea breeze, like a fluttering butterfly. A happy smile graced Jiang Zhi's face, a smile that seemed especially dazzling in the sunlight. And Shen Qingchen's eyes never left Jiang Zhi, their gaze filled with tenderness and affection. Jiang Yao unconsciously clenched her hands, her nails digging deeply into her palms, but she was oblivious.

To better observe their every move, Jiang Yao found a cafe near the beach and chose a window seat. She ordered a cup of coffee, but didn't bother to savor it. She simply stirred it mechanically, her eyes never leaving the couple that made her jealous.

Jiang Zhi and Shen Qingchen strolled along the beach, stopping occasionally. Shen Qingchen would pick up a shell and place it in Jiang Zhi's palm, whispering something in her ear. Jiang Zhi would then smile happily. Seeing this, Jiang Yao felt a surge of resentment. She imagined how wonderful it would be if she were Jiang Zhi, and Shen Qingchen's tenderness and love would belong to her.

They reached the rocky shore, and Shen Qingchen carefully supported Jiang Zhi, fearing she would fall. Seeing this, Jiang Yao's jealousy threatened to consume her. She began to plot various schemes to ruin their happiness. She thought that if Shen Qingchen could see a side of Jiang Zhi she hadn't seen before, or if she could embarrass Jiang Zhi in front of Shen Qingchen, perhaps Shen Qingchen would leave Jiang Zhi.

She took out her phone and started taking pictures. She wanted to capture some scenes that could be used, such as Jiang Zhi's embarrassing fall or Shen Qingchen's impatient expression towards Jiang Zhi. However, she was disappointed. The interaction between Jiang Zhi and Shen Qingchen was always full of love and sweetness, without any place for her to exploit.

Jiang Yao's gaze followed them, and she saw them sitting on the beach. Shen Qingchen gently brushed the sand off Jiang Zhi's face. Jiang Zhi leaned on Shen Qingchen's shoulder, quietly gazing at the sea. This scene made Jiang Yao feel like an outsider, a person abandoned by the world. Her heart was filled with loneliness and resentment, and her jealousy grew wildly like weeds.

As time went by, the sun gradually set, tinting the sky orange-red. Jiang Zhi and Shen Qingchen stood up, preparing to return to their guesthouse. Jiang Yao quietly followed them, keeping a distance, careful not to be noticed. She saw them enter a small local restaurant, so she found an excuse to enter as well and sat in an unassuming corner.

At the restaurant, Shen Qingchen carefully ordered food for Jiang Zhi, asking her about her preferences and asking the waiter about local specialties. Jiang Zhi, in turn, looked at Shen Qingchen tenderly, her eyes filled with love. Jiang Yao watched their interaction, her jealousy growing even stronger. She deliberately made some noises, hoping to attract their attention, but they were so lost in their own world that they didn't even notice her presence.

After dinner, Jiang Zhi and Shen Qingchen walked out of the restaurant hand in hand. Jiang Yao continued to follow them, her heart growing increasingly anxious, as she still hadn't come up with a perfect plan to sabotage them. She watched them enter the guesthouse, feeling resentful. She wandered outside for a while, trying to find a way in, but ultimately gave up.

Jiang Yao returned to her apartment, a simple inn. She sat on her bed, looking at the photos she'd taken on her phone, feeling a surge of frustration. She knew these photos alone wouldn't be enough to ruin their relationship. She began to think of new avenues. She remembered she had some connections in this small town, and perhaps she could use them to cause some trouble.

She picked up her phone and started calling those people. She told them she wanted to cause trouble for a couple and hoped they could help. They hesitated, but under Jiang Yao's coercion and inducement, they finally agreed. Jiang Yao was secretly proud of herself, as if she could already see Jiang Zhi and Shen Qingchen parting ways because of her plan.

However, there was also a trace of uneasiness in her heart. She knew that what she was doing was immoral, but her jealousy had made her lose her mind. She kept comforting herself that as long as she could get Shen Qingchen, everything would be worth it. She lay in bed, tossing and turning, unable to sleep, her mind full of the happy scenes of Jiang Zhi and Shen Qingchen. She secretly swore in her heart that she must make Jiang Zhi lose everything and must make Shen Qingchen return to her side.
