The morning sun filtered through the dense foliage, casting patches of golden light onto the forest floor. Jiang Zhi and Shen Qingchen wandered like two free birds through this vibrant forest. Birds sang cheerfully in the branches, as if playing a beautiful melody in celebration of their arrival. A gentle breeze rustled through, bringing with it a refreshing scent: a blend of the delicate fragrance of leaves, the sweet aroma of flowers, and the earthy earth.
Shen Qingchen was particularly excited today because he had carefully prepared a surprise for Jiang Zhi. This surprise had been brewing in his mind for a long time, and every detail was filled with his deep love for Jiang Zhi. As he and Jiang Zhi walked in the forest, he quietly paid attention to the surrounding environment, looking for the most suitable place.
They walked along a winding path, with wildflowers on both sides of the path full of colors, like a palette overturned by the earth. Jiang Zhi was attracted by these beautiful wildflowers, bending down from time to time to smell the fragrance of the flowers, her face filled with a happy smile. Shen Qingchen looked at Jiang Zhi, his heart filled with tenderness. He felt that Jiang Zhi was like an elf in this forest, pure and beautiful.
Finally, they arrived at a large open space. Surrounded by tall trees, the sun shone brightly in the center, creating a natural stage. Shen Qingchen was secretly delighted; this was his ideal spot. He calmly said to Jiang Zhi, "Dear, let's rest here for a while. Look at how beautiful the scenery is." Jiang Zhi readily agreed. She sat down on the grass under a large tree, closed her eyes, and savored the tranquility of the moment.
After seeing Jiang Zhi sit down, Shen Qingchen quietly left. He went to a secluded corner not far away, where he had already prepared everything for this surprise. He carefully took out a large picnic mat, which he had carefully selected and printed with Jiang Zhi's favorite daisy pattern. He gently spread the picnic mat on the open ground, making sure there was not a single wrinkle.
Then, he pulled out a variety of delicious treats from an exquisite basket. There were freshly baked French croissants, their crispy crust exuding a rich, buttery aroma; a vibrant fruit salad filled with plump strawberries, tart blueberries, juicy mangoes, and refreshing cantaloupe, each fruit like a carefully selected gem; and handmade cheese, exuding a rich, creamy aroma and a delicate, rich texture. Besides all this, there was also Jiang Zhi's favorite sushi, each one meticulously crafted, the rice grains plump and the sashimi so fresh it looked like it had just swum in the sea.
He then pulled out a bottle of champagne. This one was one of his long-cherished treasures, and the water droplets on the bottle sparkled enchantingly in the sunlight. He placed the champagne in an ice bucket to maintain the perfect drinking temperature. Next to it were two crystal-clear champagne flutes, their rims reflecting brilliantly in the sunlight.
Finally, he scattered a variety of flowers around the picnic mat. There were beautiful roses, symbolizing passionate love; pure lilies, signifying the pure affection between them; and even delicate daisies, Jiang Zhi's favorite. These flowers made the entire picnic scene look like a fairyland.
After Shen Qingchen finished all this, he looked at his masterpiece with satisfaction. He took a deep breath and then slowly walked towards Jiang Zhi. Jiang Zhi was immersed in the tranquility of the forest when she suddenly heard Shen Qingchen's voice: "Dear, I have a little surprise for you." Jiang Zhi opened her eyes and saw Shen Qingchen standing in front of her, extending his hand to invite her. She curiously took Shen Qingchen's hand and followed him to the open space full of surprises.
When Jiang Zhi saw everything in front of her, she covered her mouth in surprise. Tears of emotion and joy flashed in her eyes. She couldn't believe that Shen Qingchen had prepared such a beautiful and romantic scene for her. Shen Qingchen looked at Jiang Zhi's reaction, and his heart was filled with a sense of accomplishment. He gently pulled Jiang Zhi to the picnic mat and asked her to sit down.
"My dear, this is what I prepared for you. I want you to enjoy a special moment in this beautiful forest." Shen Qingchen said gently.
Jiang Zhi was moved and said, "Qingchen, why are you so attentive? This all feels like a dream."
Shen Qingchen smiled, picked up the champagne from the ice bucket, and skillfully opened the cork. With a "pop", the champagne foam overflowed from the bottle, as if celebrating this wonderful moment. He slowly poured the champagne into two glasses, and the bubbles jumped happily in the glasses. He handed a glass to Jiang Zhi, then raised his own glass and said, "Dear, cheers to our love and our happy life!"
Jiang Zhi smiled and clinked glasses with Shen Qingchen, then took a sip of champagne. The champagne had a refreshing taste, and the bubbles bursting in the mouth brought a pleasant stimulation. They tasted the champagne while sharing the food on the plate. Shen Qingchen picked up a croissant, gently tore off a piece, and brought it to Jiang Zhi's mouth. Jiang Zhi opened his mouth and took a bite, and the aroma of the bread spread in his mouth.
"This croissant is really delicious. Where did you buy it?" Jiang Zhi asked.
Shen Qingchen smiled and said, "This is not bought. I specially found a very famous baker to teach me how to make it. I tried it several times before I succeeded."
Jiang Zhi said in surprise: "You actually did it yourself? Qingchen, you are so good to me."
They sat on a picnic mat in the forest, enjoying the food, champagne, and each other's company, the sun shining down on them, surrounded by flowers and greenery, as if the whole world had stopped and it was just the two of them.
