During their investigation, Jiang Zhi and Lin Yu gradually attracted the attention of international forces. Little did they know that a huge crisis was quietly approaching.
That day, Jiang Zhi and Lin Yu, as usual, traversed the city's streets, searching for clues related to Tang Junxi's murder. The sunlight shone upon them, but it couldn't dispel the gloom that hung over their hearts. They knew full well that the enemy they faced was growing stronger, and every step was fraught with danger.
Jiang Zhi wore a simple black suit, her long hair tied up, her eyes revealing determination and courage. She clutched a notebook tightly, recording the results of their recent investigation. Lin Yu, dressed in casual denim, had a sharp gaze, constantly alert to the surroundings.
They arrived near an abandoned factory, one of the last places Tang Junxi had been seen. Jiang Zhi paused, looked around, and a strange sadness welled up in her heart. She seemed to see Tang Junxi busy at work. The man who had once loved her so deeply was now gone.
"Jiang Zhi, be careful. Something feels wrong here." Lin Yu whispered, his eyes full of vigilance.
Jiang Zhi nodded slightly. She, too, could sense the tension in the air. They cautiously entered the factory, which was filled with a stale atmosphere. The worn-out machines and piles of debris made the place seem particularly eerie.
Suddenly, there was a faint sound of footsteps. Jiang Zhi and Lin Yu stopped immediately, stood back to back, and looked around vigilantly. The footsteps were getting closer, and their hearts were in their throats.
"Come out! Stop hiding!" Lin Yu shouted loudly.
However, all they received was silence. Jiang Zhi clutched her notebook tightly, knowing that a fierce battle might unfold today. Various countermeasures quickly flashed through her mind, while also pondering the enemy's intentions.
Just as they were nervously waiting for the enemy to appear, a group of men in black suddenly emerged from all directions. Each of them was tall, with stern faces, and they held various weapons. They quickly surrounded Jiang Zhi and Lin Yu, their eyes filled with hostility.
"Who are you? Why are you stopping us?" Jiang Zhi asked sternly.
The men in black didn't answer, but just looked at them silently. One of them stepped forward and pointed the gun at Jiang Zhi and Lin Yu.
"Hand over everything you know about Tang Junxi, or you can't leave here." The man in black's voice was cold and ruthless.
Jiang Zhi and Lin Yu exchanged a glance, knowing that this wasn't going to end peacefully. Jiang Zhi raised his chin slightly, his eyes revealing a firmness.
"We won't hand anything over to you. Someone must be held accountable for Tang Junxi's death, and we will definitely find out the truth."
A flash of anger flashed in the eyes of the man in black. He waved his hand, and the other men in black immediately rushed up. Jiang Zhi and Lin Yu reacted quickly, dodging the enemy's attack and then launching a counterattack.
Lin Yu was agile and nimble, dodging the enemy's attacks flexibly while looking for opportunities to counterattack. His fists struck out like lightning, each one carrying great power, forcing the enemy to retreat.
Jiang Zhize, relying on her superb medical skills and impressive agility, engaged in a fierce battle with the enemy. The silver needles in her hands were like sharp weapons, accurately piercing the enemy's acupuncture points, instantly rendering them incapacitated. Her movements were light and nimble, like a fluttering butterfly, weaving freely among the enemies.
However, the enemy was too numerous, and they gradually fell into trouble. Jiang Zhi and Lin Yu also had some wounds on their bodies, and blood stained their clothes red. But they did not retreat and continued to fight tenaciously.
"Jiang Zhi, this is not a solution. We must find a way to break out." Lin Yu said while resisting the enemy's attack.
Jiang Zhi nodded, a look of determination in her eyes. She quickly surveyed her surroundings and spotted a window at the back of the factory. If they could break it, they might be able to escape.
"Lin Yu, follow me!" Jiang Zhi shouted, then rushed towards the window.
Lin Yu immediately followed her pace, and they rushed to the window together. Seeing this, the enemies surrounded them and tried to stop them. Jiang Zhi and Lin Yu struggled to resist the enemy's attacks and approached the window step by step.
Just as they were about to reach the window, a man in black suddenly rushed over and slashed at Jiang Zhi with a knife in his hand. Jiang Zhi had no time to dodge and could only instinctively block it with her arm. The knife slashed her arm and blood immediately gushed out.
"Jiang Zhi!" Lin Yu yelled, his eyes filled with anger. He kicked the man in black away and then supported Jiang Zhi.
"I'm fine, let's go!" Jiang Zhi said gritting his teeth.
Lin Yu nodded, picked up Jiang Zhi, and rushed towards the window. They hit the window with all their strength, and the glass shattered instantly, and they rushed out.
Outside was a wasteland overgrown with weeds. Jiang Zhi and Lin Yu didn't stop for a moment, they continued running forward. The enemy was chasing them closely, their footsteps like a death warrant, filling Jiang Zhi and Lin Yu's hearts with anxiety.
"Jiang Zhi, how is your wound?" Lin Yu asked while running.
Jiang Zhi shook her head. Her face was a little pale, but her eyes were still full of determination.
"It's okay, just a minor injury. We can't stop, we must get rid of them as soon as possible."
