Chapter 350 Light of Hope

Jiang Zhi sat alone in the dim room, the night outside as thick as ink, the worry in her heart as heavy as the endless darkness. She recalled everything that had happened in the past period of time: Jiang Yao's crazy provocation, Shen Qingchen's unwilling decision, and the looming threat of the mysterious organization. Each of them weighed on her heart like a mountain.

Yet, just as she was sinking into despair, a faint glimmer of hope quietly appeared. As Jiang Zhi sorted out her thoughts, she suddenly remembered a detail she had previously overlooked. During her investigation into Tang Junxi's death, she had come into contact with a mysterious old man. He ran a simple stall in a secluded alley, selling old books and trinkets. At the time, Jiang Zhi had only glanced at him, unconcerned. But now, in retrospect, the old man's eyes seemed to hold a deeper meaning.

Jiang Zhi decided to look for the old man again, perhaps he could give her some clues. She immediately stood up, put on her coat, and walked out of the house. The city was still bustling at night, but Jiang Zhi had no interest in enjoying the bustling scene. She shuttled through the streets and alleys, searching for the secluded alley by memory.

Finally, after some searching, Jiang Zhi found the alley. The old man still sat there, quietly watching the people passing by. Jiang Zhi approached and asked softly, "Grandpa, do you remember me?" The old man looked up at Jiang Zhi, a subtle glint in his eyes. "Oh, it's you, little girl. What can I do for you?" Jiang Zhi said eagerly, "Grandpa, I need to ask you something. I'm investigating something and I'm having a hard time. The way you looked at me last time seemed to indicate you knew something. Could you please help me?" The old man was silent for a moment, then slowly said, "Little girl, some things are too much for you to bear. But since you're so persistent, I'll give you a hint. The answer you seek isn't in this bustling city, but in a forgotten place." Jiang Zhi asked, puzzled, "A forgotten place? What is that place?" The old man smiled faintly and said, "It's a place that only appears at certain times. You need to feel it with your heart to find it." With that, the old man fell silent and returned to his stall.

Although Jiang Zhi was filled with doubts, she knew the old man wouldn't say anything more. She left the alley and began to ponder the old man's words. "A forgotten place? It only appears at a specific time? What exactly does that mean?" Jiang Zhi pondered as she walked. Suddenly, a possibility occurred to her. Perhaps that place was a place that only appeared at a specific time or under specific conditions, like an ancient relic or a mysterious place.

Jiang Zhi decided to search for clues in historical documents and legends. She went to the library and began to consult various historical books and legends about the city. After several days and nights of searching, Jiang Zhi finally found some clues in an ancient document. The document stated that on the outskirts of the city, there was an ancient temple that was said to appear only on full moon nights. The temple was said to contain many mysterious powers and secrets, and many people had tried to find it, but all failed.

Jiang Zhi's heart raced with excitement, thinking this temple might be the forgotten place the old man had spoken of. She decided to head to the suburbs on a full-moon night to search for the temple. While waiting for the full moon, Jiang Zhi wasn't idle either. She continued to investigate Jiang Yao and the mysterious organization's activities while also preparing the supplies she would need to reach the temple.

Finally, the full moon arrived. Jiang Zhi, carrying a backpack filled with tools and food, set out for the countryside. The countryside at night was exceptionally quiet, broken only by the occasional chirping of insects. Jiang Zhi walked cautiously, his heart filled with anxiety and anticipation.

After several hours of trekking, Jiang Zhi finally arrived at the place mentioned in the literature. It was a barren grassland, devoid of any buildings. Jiang Zhi waited quietly, silently praying that the temple would appear. As time passed, the moon gradually rose higher, casting its silvery light across the earth, as if covering it with a layer of silver gauze. Just as Jiang Zhi was about to lose her patience, a strange light suddenly rose from the ground, and an ancient temple slowly appeared before her eyes.

The temple's architectural style was simple and mysterious, with all sorts of strange symbols and patterns carved into its walls. Jiang Zhi cautiously entered the temple, which was filled with a mysterious atmosphere. As she walked along the passage, faint lights flickered on the walls on both sides, as if guiding her direction.

After walking for a while, Jiang Zhi arrived at a large hall. In the center of the hall stood a large stone platform, upon which rested an ancient book. Jiang Zhi approached and gently picked up the book. Ancient characters were engraved on the cover. Although Jiang Zhi could not read them, she could sense the immense power within.

Jiang Zhi opened the book, and the text inside was also in ancient script, but she discovered that she could actually understand its meaning. The book contained a legend about a mysterious organization. According to the legend, the mysterious organization was composed of a group of people with great power, and their goal was to control the entire world. To achieve this goal, they carried out all kinds of conspiracy and sabotage by any means necessary. Tang Junxi's family and Shen Qingchen's father were both murdered because they had touched the interests of the mysterious organization.

Jiang Zhi was furious. She decided to completely destroy this mysterious organization and avenge Tang Junxi and Shen Qingchen's father. But she also knew that her own strength was far from enough. She needed to find more allies to fight against the mysterious organization together.
