The next day, sunlight shone through the gaps in the curtains onto the bed. Jiang Zhi hadn't slept all night. With red and swollen eyes, she sat on the edge of the bed, staring blankly ahead. She couldn't understand why Shen Qingchen, whom she had loved so much, had suddenly become like this. Just then, the sound of a car came from downstairs. Jiang Zhi's heart suddenly tightened, and she had a bad premonition.
She stood up and walked to the window, and saw Shen Qingchen's car slowly stop. The door opened, and Shen Qingchen got out of the car, and beside him, there was a woman - Jiang Yao. Jiang Zhi's body trembled slightly, and her eyes were fixed on them.
Jiang Yao was wearing a gorgeous dress and had delicate makeup on. She held Shen Qingchen's arm, a smug smile on her face. Shen Qingchen's expression was a little cold, as if he was deliberately hiding something. They walked towards the house together. Jiang Zhi clenched her hands into fists, her nails digging deep into her palms, but she didn't feel any pain.
The doorbell rang. Jiang Zhi took a deep breath, tried to calm himself down, and then went to open the door. The moment the door opened, Jiang Yao's provocative eyes shot straight at Jiang Zhi. She deliberately tightened her arm around Shen Qingchen and said in a delicate voice, "Jiang Zhi, you have already divorced Qingchen. Don't bother him anymore."
Jiang Zhi looked at Jiang Yao with anger in her eyes, and her voice trembled slightly because of anger: "Jiang Yao, don't be complacent, the relationship between Qingchen and me is not something you can destroy." She turned her gaze to Shen Qingchen, hoping that he could say something and give herself an explanation.
Shen Qingchen watched Jiang Zhi and Jiang Yao quarreling, feeling very uncomfortable. He knew that he was hurting Jiang Zhi by doing this, but in order to protect her, he had no choice but to continue the act. He took Jiang Yao's hand and said, "Let's go. Don't argue with her anymore." After that, he took Jiang Yao into the house, leaving Jiang Zhi standing alone at the door, her heart filled with pain and despair.
Jiang Zhi followed them into the living room. She looked at Shen Qingchen with questioning eyes: "Qingchen, what is going on? Why did you bring her here?"
Shen Qingchen avoided Jiang Zhi's gaze and said coldly: "We are divorced. It is my freedom to be with anyone. Jiang Yao is my girlfriend now. I hope you can respect us."
Jiang Zhi felt a sharp pain in her heart when she heard his words. She couldn't believe her ears. "Girlfriend? Chen Qingchen, we used to love each other so much, how could you find someone else so soon?" Her tears burst out again.
Jiang Yao looked at Jiang Zhi's sad face and felt secretly proud. She walked up to Jiang Zhi and said hypocritically, "Jiang Zhi, stop pestering Qing Chen. He loves me now. Look at you, how can you compare to me?"
Jiang Zhi glared at Jiang Yao, "Jiang Yao, do you think you can win his heart with this trick? He's just been deceived by you. Sooner or later, he will see your true face."
"Humph, Jiang Zhi, stop deceiving yourself. Qingchen is very happy with me now, so don't disturb our lives anymore." Jiang Yao finished speaking, turned around and hugged Shen Qingchen's arm, and said coquettishly: "Qingchen, let's go, I don't want to see her."
Shen Qingchen looked at Jiang Zhi, his heart filled with guilt, but he still hardened his heart and said, "Jiang Zhi, you take care of yourself." Then he took Jiang Yao upstairs, leaving Jiang Zhi alone in the living room with tears streaming down her face.
Jiang Zhi stood in the living room blankly, listening to the sounds coming from the room upstairs, her heart seemed to be torn apart. She didn't believe that Shen Qingchen would fall in love with someone else so easily. She felt that there must be some hidden reason behind all this. She decided to have a good talk with Shen Qingchen and find out the truth of the matter.
So, Jiang Zhi wiped her tears and went upstairs. She came to the door of Shen Qingchen's room and was about to knock when she heard Jiang Yao's voice from inside: "Qingchen, do you really not love Jiang Zhi anymore? Why do I feel that you still have feelings for her?"
"She and I are over. Now you are the only one in my heart." Shen Qingchen's voice came, and Jiang Zhi's heart sank suddenly.
"But I think she doesn't seem to believe that we are together. Will she come to see you again?" Jiang Yao said worriedly.
"She won't, I've already made it clear to her. Don't worry, I will be with you well." Shen Qingchen comforted.
Jiang Zhi listened to their conversation, her heart filled with despair. She turned and went downstairs to her room, packed some things, and prepared to leave this place that made her sad. She felt that there was no point in staying here any longer, and she needed time and space to heal.
When Jiang Zhi walked out of the room with his luggage, he happened to meet Shen Qingchen and Jiang Yao coming downstairs. When Shen Qingchen saw Jiang Zhi carrying his luggage, his heart tightened. He wanted to say something, but he didn't know what to say.
Jiang Zhi glanced at them coldly and said, "Shen Qingchen, I hope you don't regret your decision today." After that, she walked out of the house without looking back.
Shen Qingchen looked at Jiang Zhi's back, his heart filled with pain and helplessness. He knew that he had hurt Jiang Zhi, but he had no choice but to do this to protect her.
Jiang Yao looked at Shen Qingchen's expression and felt a little unhappy. She took Shen Qingchen's arm and said, "Qingchen, it's good that she's gone. We can finally be together."
Shen Qingchen remained silent, his thoughts on Jiang Zhi. He didn't know where Jiang Zhi would go after she left, or if she would be in danger. He wanted to chase Jiang Zhi, but he was afraid that his actions would arouse Jiang Yao's suspicion and expose his plan.
Jiang Yao felt that Shen Qingchen was absent-minded. She said angrily, "Qingchen, what are you thinking about? Are you still thinking about Jiang Zhi?"
