Chapter 397 Jiang Zhi's Discovery

By chance, Jiang Zhi discovered that the cause of Shen Qingchen's father's death might be inextricably linked to the extermination of Tang Junxi's family. That day, while sorting through some old documents left by her grandfather Jiang Yan, she found a forgotten folder in a corner. The folder was covered in dust, as if telling of its dusty years.

Jiang Zhi gently brushed away the dust and opened the folder, revealing documents related to the Jiang Group's early business dealings and some handwritten notes. She was just flipping through them casually, but a name in one of the documents caught her attention—Jiang Lingchuan. It was a name she knew all too well; it was the man who had taken her away and transformed her life.

The documents mentioned some business dealings between the Jiang Group and Jiang Lingchuan, but some of the details made Jiang Zhi feel a little strange. She continued to study the documents in depth and found some obscure account records that seemed to suggest that the Jiang Group had had unknown transactions with Jiang Lingchuan on certain projects, and these transactions might also be related to Shen Qingchen's father's company.

Jiang Zhi's heartbeat began to accelerate. She felt as if she had touched upon a huge secret. She thought of the sudden death of Shen Qingchen's father and the demise of Tang Junxi's family. Could all this really be just a coincidence? She decided to continue investigating along this clue.

Jiang Zhi began searching for people involved in these transactions. She first found a former employee of Jiang's Group, who had been retired for many years and lived in an old residential complex in the city. It took some effort for Jiang Zhi to find his residence.

When she knocked on the door of the old employee's house, a white-haired old man opened the door. Jiang Zhi stated her identity and purpose. The old man looked at her in surprise, but still let her in.

"Little girl, the things you mentioned happened a long time ago, and I don't know much about them." The old man said hesitantly.

Jiang Zhi looked at the old man sincerely and said, "Grandpa, I know these things may cause you some trouble, but this is really important to me. I believe you must know something about it, and I hope you can help me."

The old man sighed, sat down on the sofa, and lost in his memories. "Back then, there were indeed some strange things happening in the company. Jiang Lingchuan's cooperation with our company seemed normal on the surface, but I always felt something was amiss. One time, I overheard a conversation between my boss and Jiang Lingchuan. They seemed to mention some kind of plan, but I didn't catch the details. Later, the company began to encounter problems with some projects, and I retired early for some reasons."

Jiang Zhi listened to the old man's words, and her doubts deepened. She continued to ask: "Have you ever heard about the relationship between Shen Qingchen's father's company and these things?"

The old man thought for a moment and said, "It seems that once, I saw someone from Shen Qingchen's father's company come to our boss. They talked for a long time, but I don't know what they talked about specifically. However, since then, the atmosphere in the company has become more tense."

Jiang Zhi thanked the old man and left his home. Although the old man did not provide much specific information, she at least determined that there was indeed a problem with the transaction between Jiang Group and Jiang Lingchuan, and it might be related to Shen Qingchen's father's company.

Jiang Zhi then visited related companies and institutions, hoping to uncover more clues. She consulted numerous commercial documents in libraries and searched archives for documents related to the period. However, her investigation was not smooth sailing. Much of the information had been deliberately hidden or destroyed, and she sensed a powerful force preventing her from uncovering the truth.

However, Jiang Zhi didn't give up. She used her connections to find some influential friends in the business world, hoping they could provide some help. One of them told her that she had heard about a mysterious organization that was secretly manipulating some business activities. This organization was very powerful and involved in various fields, but the specific situation was unclear.

Jiang Zhi's heart moved. She suspected that this mysterious organization might be the key to the affairs of Shen Qingchen's father and Tang Junxi's family. She began to work harder to find clues about this mysterious organization.

One day, Jiang Zhi met an informant in a cafe. The informant was a person with some connections in the intelligence community, and he agreed to help Jiang Zhi get some information.

"I've heard some things about that mysterious organization, but they're just rumors." The informant whispered.

Jiang Zhi looked at him anxiously and said, "What rumor? Tell me quickly."

The informant took a sip of coffee and said, "It's said that this mysterious organization is called 'The Shadow'. They secretly control many companies and political forces, seeking profits through various means. Their methods are extremely cruel, and anyone who stands in their way will be eliminated. Moreover, their organization is very strict, making it difficult to track them down."

Jiang Zhi felt a chill in her heart as she listened to the informant's words. She knew she was facing a very powerful enemy, but she had no intention of retreating.

"Do you know any other information about them?" Jiang Zhi asked.

The informant shook his head and said, "That's all I know for now. However, you must be careful. This organization is very dangerous. If you continue to investigate, your life may be in danger."

Jiang Zhi nodded and said, "I know, thank you."

After leaving the cafe, Jiang Zhi fell into deep thought. She knew she had been caught in a huge vortex, but she couldn't just give up. She decided to start with Shen Qingchen's father's company to see if she could find more clues.
