Jiang Zhi sat alone by the window, the moonlight shining on her, but it couldn't dispel the haze in her heart. These days, the secret had been like a huge rock, weighing heavily on her heart. She looked out the window at the night, her thoughts drifting back to the past.
She recalled the moment she first discovered clues to Tang Junxi's family's demise. It was a fortuitous discovery, yet it felt like opening a door to a dark abyss. As her investigation deepened, she gradually realized that a mysterious organization was manipulating everything. This organization was powerful yet secretive. Every time she approached the truth, it felt like groping in the dark, vulnerable to the dangers lurking in the shadows.
She knew that if this secret were leaked, it would bring disaster to herself and those around her, especially Shen Qingchen. He was the most important person in her life, and she didn't want to see him fall into danger because of her. Therefore, she had been bearing this pressure alone, every clue she uncovered and every investigation she carried out was completed in solitude.
However, as the investigation deepened, things became increasingly complicated, spiraling out of her control. She encountered numerous bottlenecks, and the mysterious information and complex interpersonal relationships left her feeling unprecedentedly helpless. With each obstacle, she wondered how much better it would be if she had Shen Qingchen by her side. His wisdom, connections, and strength could all hold the key to solving the mystery.
But she was also afraid. She was afraid that if he found out, he would get involved recklessly, and she was afraid of losing him. She had been struggling with this conflicting feeling for countless days and nights, pondering this question every night. Until tonight, she finally made up her mind.
Jiang Zhi took a deep breath, slowly stood up, and walked towards the living room. Shen Qingchen was reading documents in the living room. Seeing Jiang Zhi coming over, he put down the things in his hands, smiled and asked: "Why haven't you slept yet? Is there something wrong?" Jiang Zhi looked at his familiar face, and her heart ached. She walked to Shen Qingchen and sat down. After a moment of silence, she slowly spoke.
“Qingchen, I have something to tell you.” Jiang Zhi’s voice trembled a little, and she didn’t dare to look directly into Shen Qingchen’s eyes.
Shen Qingchen noticed her abnormality, held her hand, and said gently: "Dear, what's wrong with you? No matter what, you can tell me."
Jiang Zhi bit her lip and mustered up the courage to say, "I've kept this from you for a long time. I didn't dare tell you because I was afraid you would be in danger. But now, I find that I can't handle it alone anymore. I need your help."
Shen Qingchen looked at her nervous expression, and a trace of uneasiness surged in his heart. He whispered, "Tell me slowly, no matter what it is, we will face it together."
Jiang Zhi began her story, starting with the initial suspicious signs of Tang Junxi's family's demise. She recounted how she'd pored over documents late at night, following tiny clues that led to seemingly unrelated yet closely connected leads. She described the mysterious symbols, cryptic messages, and the strange people and events she encountered during her investigation.
As Jiang Zhi continued to talk, Shen Qingchen's brows gradually furrowed. He had not expected that Jiang Zhi had been facing such a complicated and dangerous situation alone. He felt distressed and blamed himself for not noticing her abnormality earlier.
Jiang Zhi continued, describing the emergence of the mysterious organization. She described it as an invisible net, shrouding the entire city. Their influence permeated every corner, seemingly omnipresent. Every time she felt she was about to find the truth, a mysterious force would intervene, trapping her.
"I know this organization is very dangerous and they can do anything. I was afraid that you would get hurt, so I didn't dare to tell you. But now, I really have no choice, I need you." Tears flashed in Jiang Zhi's eyes. She looked at Shen Qingchen, her eyes full of helplessness and expectation.
Shen Qingchen hugged Jiang Zhi in his arms, stroked her hair gently, and said, "Silly girl, why do you have to bear so much alone? We are husband and wife. No matter what happens, we should face it together."
Jiang Zhi sobbed in his arms and said, "I just don't want you to be in danger. I'm really afraid of losing you."
Shen Qingchen lifted Jiang Zhi's face, looked into her eyes, and said seriously: "Do you know? If you bear it alone like this, I will be even more sad. No matter what happens in the future, we can no longer separate, we must face all difficulties together."
Jiang Zhi nodded. She felt Shen Qingchen's determination, and a big stone in her heart seemed to fall to the ground.
Shen Qingchen began to ask for more details about the mysterious organization. They sat on the sofa, and Jiang Zhi told him everything she knew. From the industries that the mysterious organization might be involved in to the interest chain behind it that she guessed, she did not miss any details.
Shen Qingchen listened carefully, his mind quickly analyzing this information. He knew that this was an extremely complex and dangerous enemy, but he had no intention of retreating. He looked at Jiang Zhi, his eyes full of love and determination.
“We will definitely be able to uncover the truth and avenge Tang Junxi’s family.” Shen Qingchen held Jiang Zhi’s hand tightly, as if conveying strength to her.
Jiang Zhi looked at him, her heart filled with emotion. She knew that from this moment on, they would face this huge challenge together, and no matter how many difficulties and obstacles there were ahead, they would never be separated again.
Over the next few days, Shen Qingchen and Jiang Zhi began to sort through the clues. They gathered all the information Jiang Zhi had collected and analyzed it one by one. Drawing on his business experience and extensive connections, Shen Qingchen uncovered new clues from economic data and business transactions. He discovered that some seemingly normal business transactions might conceal the flow of funds from a mysterious organization.
