Chapter 455 Secret Protection Upgrade

Night fell over the city. Shen Qingchen stood on the top floor of the high-rise building across from Jiang Zhi's residence, his eyes fixed on the familiar yet unfamiliar window. The wind blew through his hair, but it couldn't dispel the solemnity in his eyes. He knew that the mysterious organization was like a venomous snake lurking in the darkness, ready to strike a fatal blow at Jiang Zhi at any moment, and he couldn't let that happen.

His carefully selected bodyguards were elite individuals who had undergone rigorous screening and training. Like ghosts in the night, they silently occupied key locations around Jiang Zhi's residence. Some lurked in the shadows of street corners, the darkness a part of their being, their eyes as sharp as hawks, never missing a single suspicious figure. Others lurked on nearby rooftops, blending into the night like silent guardians, always ready to respond to any emergency.

Shen Qingchen himself was also busy, frequently patrolling the area. His figure flickered under the streetlights, each step punctuated by a firmness and resolve. He meticulously inspected every corner that could be exploited by the enemy, scanning the surroundings for any anomalies. He knew that even the slightest oversight could lead Jiang Zhi to irreparable ruin.

One night, thick as ink, members of a mysterious organization approached Jiang Zhi's residence like ghosts. Clad in black tights, they moved swiftly and stealthily, believing their movements to be unnoticed. However, as they approached the security perimeter surrounding the residence, they were spotted by the bodyguards assigned by Shen Qingchen.

Like well-trained cheetahs, the bodyguards sprang into action. Without a sound, they swooped down upon the enemy with lightning speed. For a moment, the flashes of swords and sabers gleamed in the darkness as a fierce, silent battle unfolded. The members of the mysterious organization had clearly not anticipated such fierce resistance; they had expected this operation to proceed smoothly, as usual.

One of the mysterious men attempted to break through the defenses and rushed toward Jiang Zhi's residence. He was incredibly skilled, dodging the bodyguards' attacks, but was quickly kicked in the stomach by an experienced bodyguard, sending him flying backward and falling heavily to the ground. The other mysterious man drew his weapon and attempted to retaliate, but before he could fire, a bodyguard who jumped from the rooftop kicked his weapon away and subdued him.

This fierce battle didn't awaken Jiang Zhi; she remained slumbering. She sensed something strange around her, the night air thicker than usual, but she dismissed it as an illusion. Little did she know, while she slept, a life-or-death battle was quietly unfolding outside her residence.

Shen Qingchen nervously watched the battle from a distance, his fists unconsciously clenched. He didn't breathe a sigh of relief until he saw the bodyguards successfully repel the enemy. He looked at Jiang Zhi's residence, his eyes full of tenderness and worry. He knew that such dangers might continue to occur, and he had to protect her more carefully.

In the following days, Shen Qingchen increased his protection. Not only did he increase the number of bodyguards, he also installed the most advanced monitoring equipment and alarm systems around Jiang Zhi's residence. These devices were like an invisible net, and no movement could escape their eyes.

Every morning, as the first rays of sunlight shone across the city streets, Shen Qingchen would arrive early to check the nighttime surveillance footage, not missing a single suspicious image. He would discuss potential security loopholes in detail with his bodyguards and take timely measures to address them. He would also personally check whether the alarm system was functioning properly, ensuring it would be able to function at critical moments.

During the day, when Jiang Zhi went out to work at the hospital, Shen Qingchen was even more worried. He arranged for the bodyguards to be divided into several groups. Some would clear the way for Jiang Zhi and eliminate possible threats in advance; some would follow secretly from behind to ensure that no suspicious people were following; and others would set up control in the surrounding streets and buildings, forming an all-round protection circle.

Jiang Zhi was walking on the way to the hospital. She felt that the atmosphere around her was a little strange. Occasionally, she would see some seemingly ordinary passers-by, but their eyes seemed to hide something. She wondered if she had been too sensitive recently. Ever since Tang Junxi's incident, she always felt that the world was full of dangers. However, she never imagined that these were all the protections arranged for her by Shen Qingchen.

In the hospital, Jiang Zhi was busy working. Shen Qingchen's bodyguards did not relax their vigilance. They disguised themselves as hospital staff, patients or patients' families and scattered in various corners of the hospital. They kept a close eye on everyone entering and leaving the hospital, and if they found any suspicious signs, they would take action immediately.

Once, a slovenly-looking man in ragged clothes wandered the hospital corridor. His eyes kept glancing in the direction of Jiang Zhi's department, which caught the attention of the bodyguards. They quietly approached the man, and one of them pretended to accidentally bump into him. The moment they made contact, the bodyguards keenly sensed that the man was carrying a weapon.

The bodyguards acted quickly and subdued the man. After inspection, they found that he was a killer sent by a mysterious organization, intending to kill Jiang Zhi in the hospital. This incident made Shen Qingchen more aware that the enemy would do anything to achieve their goals, and he had to be more careful to protect Jiang Zhi.

As time went on, Shen Qingchen's protective actions became more and more strict. He put almost all his energy into protecting Jiang Zhi. He knew that Jiang Zhi was the most important person in his life, and he could not let her get hurt again. His love, in this silent protection, became deeper and more firm.

However, this high-intensity protection operation also put Shen Qingchen under tremendous pressure. He was in a state of high tension every day, severely lacking sleep, and his eyes were bloodshot. But he never complained. As long as he could see Jiang Zhi safe and sound, he felt that everything was worth it.
