The night fell like a huge piece of black silk, weighing heavily on the city, shrouding everything in its shadow. Jiang Zhi and her allies, like ghosts in the dark night, silently approached the abandoned factory where their target was located.
Jiang Zhi, clad in a black leotard, stood slender and lithe. Her eyes, cold and resolute, seemed to pierce the thick darkness. Beside her, her allies wore serious expressions, their weapons tightly gripped. They knew the dangers of this operation, but to uncover the truth and uphold justice, no one had the slightest intention of backing down.
Following a carefully crafted plan, they divided into several teams and flanked the abandoned factory from different directions. Jiang Zhi led one of the teams, crouching low, using the surrounding abandoned buildings and debris as cover as they cautiously advanced. Her heartbeat quickened slightly, not from fear, but from the nervous excitement of nearing the truth. Each step was taken with extreme caution, as if the ground beneath her feet concealed a deadly trap.
However, the mysterious organization seemed to have been aware of the situation long before, like a giant beast hidden in the darkness, quietly waiting for its prey to arrive before baring its ferocious fangs. Just as Jiang Zhi and his companions entered the factory's outer area, a sharp alarm suddenly pierced the silent night sky. The sound, like a demon's roar, echoed through the empty, abandoned factory, leaving a chilling chill. Immediately afterwards, powerful searchlight beams shot out in all directions like sharp swords, instantly illuminating the entire area as bright as day.
"Oh no! We've been ambushed!" Jiang Zhi whispered in alarm, but there was no panic in her voice. In this critical moment, she quickly calmed down, her brain working rapidly, thinking of a response strategy.
Almost immediately after the alarm sounded, assassins from the mysterious organization emerged from every corner. They were dressed in black combat uniforms, wearing grim masks on their faces, and their weapons flashed with cold light. Bullets rained down on Jiang Zhi and the others, splashing dust and sparks on the ground.
"Take cover!" Jiang Zhi yelled, dashing for a nearby abandoned shipping container. With lightning speed, she dove through the hail of bullets, dodging behind it with a few tumbles. Her allies followed suit, each seeking advantageous cover. For a moment, the sounds of gunfire and shouting intertwined, and the scene descended into utter chaos.
Jiang Zhi hid behind the container, slightly peeked out to observe the enemy's movements. She noticed that the enemy's firepower was extremely dense, and they had clearly undergone rigorous tactical training, coordinating well with each other, forming a tight firepower network. If they rushed out rashly, they would inevitably suffer heavy casualties.
"I can't just sit there and wait for death. I have to find a way to break through their defenses," Jiang Zhi thought to herself. Her eyes quickly scanned her surroundings, and suddenly, she spotted a ventilation duct not far away. This duct connected to the factory interior. If she could enter from there, she might be able to avoid the enemy's direct fire and approach her target unexpectedly.
"Follow me!" Jiang Zhi decisively conveyed her plan to her allies. She took a deep breath, then, while the enemy was reloading, she charged like a cheetah, sprinting towards the ventilation duct. Behind her, her allies followed closely, firing back at the enemy as they ran, buying Jiang Zhi time.
Bullets whizzed past her ears, and Jiang Zhi could clearly feel the breath of death lingering around her, but her gaze never wavered. She had only one conviction in her heart: to capture the core members of the mysterious organization and uncover the truth behind them. As she ran, she cleverly took advantage of the obstacles around her, dodging left and right, and sometimes crawling forward, successfully avoiding most of the enemy's attacks.
Finally, Jiang Zhi arrived at the bottom of the ventilation duct. She looked up, then leaped with all her might, grasping the edge of the duct with both hands. With a flip, she crawled in. Her allies followed suit and entered the ventilation duct.
The ventilation duct was dark and damp, filled with a pungent, rancid stench. Jiang Zhi ignored all that and led her allies through the duct, swiftly crawling toward their target. The occasional bursts of gunfire and enemy shouts from within the duct were terrifying, but they all knew there was no turning back; they had no choice but to press forward.
Just as they were approaching their target room, a faint sound of footsteps suddenly emanated from the ventilation vent ahead. Jiang Zhi immediately stopped and gestured for silence. Cautiously, she crawled to the vent and peered down through the gap. She saw several guards from a mysterious organization, weapons in hand, patrolling the room's entrance.
Jiang Zhi secretly thought about how to quietly eliminate these guards. She observed the surrounding environment and found a thick pipe next to the ventilation vent. She could use it to make some noise and distract the enemy.
She winked at a nearby ally, and the two of them coordinated their efforts. Jiang Zhi gently pushed the pipe, and it emitted a dull thud. The guards, alerted by the sound, immediately turned their attention to the pipe. In that moment of distraction, Jiang Zhi and her allies leaped from the vent like ghosts, subduing them before the guards could react.
After dealing with the guards at the door, Jiang Zhi gently pushed open the door. A thick cloud of smoke filled the room, obscuring what was inside. She walked in cautiously, followed closely by her allies. Suddenly, a dark figure darted out from the corner and lunged at Jiang Zhi. Jiang Zhi was prepared. She dodged to the side and then delivered a backhand elbow strike, striking the figure hard in the stomach. The figure groaned and fell to the ground.
