Chapter 53: Abandoned Factory

Jiang Zhi stood before the gates of the abandoned factory. The rusty iron door swayed slightly in the wind, creaking. A gloomy atmosphere permeated the place, as if it hid countless unknown secrets. The factory was surrounded by overgrown weeds, and the dilapidated walls looked crumbling from the erosion of time.

Jiang Zhi cautiously entered the factory, observing his surroundings with vigilance. Sunlight streamed in through the dilapidated windows, casting dappled shadows. The factory was littered with worn-out machinery and piles of garbage. The walls were covered in mottled marks, a testament to its former glory and present desolation.

Her footsteps echoed in the empty factory, each step tinged with caution and uneasiness. Jiang Zhi's heartbeat quickened involuntarily. She didn't know what was hidden in this abandoned factory, but her intuition told her that it must be closely connected to a mysterious person or organization.

Jiang Zhi walked slowly forward, her eyes scanning her surroundings sharply. Suddenly, she heard a faint sound, as if someone was calling for help. She stopped and listened quietly. The sound was vague, but it made her feel a strong sense of unease.

Jiang Zhi walked in the direction of the sound, her steps light and cautious, afraid to startle anything. As she got closer, the cries for help became clearer and clearer, and her heart grew more nervous. Finally, she stopped at the entrance of a basement.

The basement door was half-open, and a damp, decaying smell wafted into her face. Jiang Zhi hesitated, then gently pushed the door open. The basement was pitch black, with only a faint light filtering through the cracks above. She walked down the stairs carefully, taking every step with extreme caution.

As her eyes gradually adjusted to the darkness, she saw a man imprisoned in a corner. He looked frail, his body covered in scars, his clothes tattered. Yet, his eyes revealed a firm conviction, as if speaking of his unyielding spirit and struggle.

Jiang Zhi hurried to the man's side and squatted down gently. She carefully examined his injuries and found that his condition was very serious. His body was extremely weak and his wounds were infected. If he was not treated in time, he might be in danger of death.

Without hesitation, Jiang Zhi pulled first aid kits and supplies from her backpack. She expertly cleaned the man's wound, disinfected it, and bandaged it, each movement filled with tenderness and care. Under Jiang Zhi's care, the man gradually regained some consciousness.

"Who are you? Why are you here?" Jiang Zhi asked softly.

The man looked at Jiang Zhi weakly, then slowly said, "I... I don't know who you are, but I thank you for saving my life. I was captured by a mysterious organization. They wanted to get some information from me, but I didn't tell them anything."

Jiang Zhi's heart tightened, she knew she had found the right place. "Have you seen the mysterious man?" she asked anxiously.

The man nodded slightly. "I've seen him before, but his identity is very mysterious, and I don't know the details. However, I can tell you that the mysterious figure seems to be related to a mysterious organization. This organization is very powerful, and they are manipulating many things behind the scenes."

Jiang Zhi's brow furrowed, knowing she was facing a huge challenge. "Do you know anything else about the mysterious organization?" she continued.

The man shook his head. "I don't know much. They are very cautious and never reveal too much information. However, I can sense that their purpose is very terrifying. They seem to want to control the entire world."

Jiang Zhi was filled with shock. She had never imagined that the mysterious organization's ambitions were so great. She knew that she had to uncover the mysterious organization as soon as possible, otherwise the consequences would be disastrous.

Jiang Zhi continued to treat the man's wounds while pondering her next move. She knew she couldn't stay here for long; the mysterious organization might discover her at any moment. However, she couldn't just leave like that either; this man might be the key to finding the mysterious organization.

Just as Jiang Zhi was lost in thought, the man suddenly spoke up, "You have to be careful. The mysterious organization is very powerful and they won't let go of anyone who threatens them. You'd better leave here as soon as possible and don't let them discover your presence."

Jiang Zhi nodded. "I know, but I can't just give up. I must find the core figure of the mysterious organization and expose their conspiracy."

The man looked at Jiang Zhi with admiration in his eyes. "You are very brave, but you must also pay attention to your own safety. The mysterious organization's methods are very cruel, and they will not show mercy."

Jiang Zhi smiled slightly, "Don't worry, I will be careful. You should have a good rest. Once your injuries are healed, leave here as soon as possible."

After saying that, Jiang Zhi stood up and prepared to leave the basement. She knew that she still had a lot of things to do and time was running out, so she couldn't waste a single minute.

However, just as she was about to leave, she suddenly heard footsteps. Her heart tightened and she immediately hid in a corner. The footsteps were getting closer and closer, and her heart was in her throat.

Finally, several men in black suits appeared at the basement entrance. They wore sunglasses and had grim expressions, clearly looking like tough guys. Jiang Zhi held his breath, closely watching their every move.

The men walked into the basement and began searching for something. Jiang Zhi was filled with anxiety, as she knew she would be in danger if they found her.
