Chapter 542 Crisis and Turning Point

The battlefield was thick with smoke and the cries of killing shook the heavens. The mysterious organization and Jiang Yao's forces, sensing this was their last chance, desperately deployed a new type of weapon and poison. The weapon flashed with a cold light, and the ammunition fired with an eerie whistling sound. Wherever it struck, alliance members fell to the ground, wounded. The poison was colorless and odorless, but once contaminated, the victim's face instantly turned purple, their breath was nearly dead, and their fighting power was drastically reduced.

Jiang Zhi watched helplessly as her companions fell one by one, a wave of pain and anger welling up in her heart. But she knew that only by remaining calm could she hope for survival. She took a deep breath, suppressed her panic, and quickly retrieved the antidote she had carefully prepared from the medicine bag she carried. Her hands moved as quickly as the wind, opening each vial and mixing the potion according to the precise proportions, her eyes focused and determined.

"Don't panic, everyone! I have the antidote!" Jiang Zhi shouted, trying to calm everyone down. She moved among the wounded, carefully feeding the antidote to each, while using her exceptional medical skills to stop bleeding and bandage the wounds of the seriously injured. Thanks to her efforts, some of the less-poisoned soldiers gradually began to recover. They struggled to their feet, gripping their weapons again, their eyes gleaming with unyielding determination.

However, Jiang Zhi understood that this was only a temporary reprieve. As she continued treating the wounded, her mind raced with countermeasures. Suddenly, she remembered a piece of intelligence she had stumbled upon while investigating the mysterious organization. It seemed to mention some limitations and flaws in the supply of these new weapons and poisons.

"If we can find their supply base and destroy it, perhaps we can turn the tide of the war." Jiang Zhi secretly thought. She looked up at the battlefield, searching for Shen Qingchen's figure in the chaos. Finally, in the smoke, she saw Shen Qingchen commanding his team to resist tenaciously. His figure was resolute and courageous. Although his face was exhausted, his eyes revealed an indomitable fighting spirit.

Jiang Zhi rushed towards Shen Qingchen without hesitation, dodging the enemy's attacks along the way. When she came to Shen Qingchen, she briefly told him her plan. After Shen Qingchen heard it, a flash of surprise flashed in her eyes, but it was immediately replaced by determination.

"It's too dangerous, Jiang Zhi. You can't go." Shen Qingchen grabbed Jiang Zhi's arm tightly and said worriedly.

"There's no other way. If we don't take this risk, we might all die here today." Jiang Zhi's eyes were filled with determination. "And I have some clues about their supply base. The chances of success are very high."

Shen Qingchen knew that once Jiang Zhi made up his mind, it would be difficult to change it. He pondered for a moment, then nodded, “Then I’ll go with you.”

"No, it's more important for you to command the battle here. I can take a small team of elite members with me. Too many people will easily expose the target." Jiang Zhi rejected Shen Qingchen's proposal.

Although Shen Qingchen was reluctant in his heart, he also understood that what Jiang Zhi said made sense. He could only remind her: "Be careful, I'll wait for you here."

Jiang Zhi selected several agile and experienced alliance members to form a strike team. Each of them had a determined look in their eyes, ready to die. Jiang Zhi once again checked his equipment and weapons, then led the team quietly toward the enemy's rear.

Along the way, they encountered numerous enemy obstacles. A mysterious organization seemed to have sensed their intentions and sent a large number of assassins to ambush them along the route. However, Jiang Zhi, with his wisdom and keen insight, repeatedly discovered the enemy's tracks in advance and cleverly used the terrain to deal with them.

Sometimes they hid behind boulders, waiting for the enemy to approach before suddenly attacking; sometimes, using the cover of the trees, they quietly circled behind the enemy and delivered a fatal blow. Jiang Zhi's skills were even more astonishing. She was like a black lightning, moving freely among the enemies. The dagger in her hand flashed with cold light, and each swing accurately pierced the enemy's vital points.

During one encounter, the squad was surrounded by the enemy in a valley. Enemies surged in from all directions, and the situation was extremely critical. Jiang Zhi calmly observed his surroundings and discovered a narrow path on the cliffs on one side of the valley, which seemed to lead to the top of the mountain.

"Break out from that side!" Jiang Zhi commanded decisively. She was the first to rush to the cliff, using both her hands and feet to quickly climb up. The team members followed closely behind. Despite the enemy's constant fire from below, they relied on their tenacious perseverance and outstanding skills to finally reach the top of the mountain and escape the enemy's encirclement.

After a difficult journey and battle, Jiang Zhi and others finally approached the supply base of the mysterious organization. They hid in a bush and carefully observed the situation at the base.

The base was heavily guarded, its high walls covered in barbed wire and surveillance cameras. The entrance was heavily guarded, and patrols were constantly patrolling the perimeter. Jiang Zhi frowned, wondering how he could break through this tight defense.

Suddenly, she found a seemingly abandoned warehouse on one side of the base, with a vent next to it. Jiang Zhi's mind moved, and she guessed that this vent might be a hidden entrance to the base.

"Let's go in through the ventilation duct over there," Jiang Zhi said softly. She led the team members and quietly circled around to the back of the warehouse, approaching the ventilation duct.

When they reached the bottom of the vent, Jiang Zhi gestured for a team member to squat down. She stepped on the team member's shoulders and climbed up. She carefully opened the vent cover and peered inside. It was pitch black, filled with a pungent smell of chemicals.
