Chapter 603 Jiang Yao's Pursuit

Jiang Yao stood in the center of the luxurious yet eerie room, the light from the crystal chandelier casting a horrifying shadow on her contorted face. Upon learning of Jiang Zhi's birth, the flames of jealousy blazed within her, consuming her remaining sanity. Her eyes gleamed with madness and determination, like an enraged beast, determined to tear Jiang Zhi and her child to pieces.

Jiang Yao knew she couldn't achieve her evil goals on her own, so she unhesitatingly colluded with the mysterious organization. In a dimly lit secret room, she sat across from the mysterious organization's emissary, the flickering candlelight on the table illuminating their faces, each filled with ulterior motives. Jiang Yao unloaded every bit of intelligence she had on Jiang Zhi and Shen Qingchen, using every detail as leverage for their cooperation. A sinister smile played on the emissary's face, and he nodded in satisfaction. Thus, a sinister alliance was forged.

With the vast resources provided by the mysterious organization, Jiang Yao embarked on her frantic pursuit. Her first wave of assassins, each one a culmination of elite selection from the depths of the dark world, clad in black bodysuits, possessed the agility of a cheetah, their gazes cold and ruthless. Like ghosts, these assassins stalked the city streets, meticulously searching for Jiang Zhi's whereabouts, following the clues Jiang Yao provided.

Jiang Yao herself was stationed in the back, in a high-tech monitoring room, where a vast screen flashed with data and images. She stared intently, not missing a single clue that might connect her to Jiang Zhi. Her fingers tapped relentlessly on the console, switching between the surveillance feeds, her eyes bloodshot yet still filled with fervor. Using the city's ubiquitous cameras and the advanced tracking technology provided by the mysterious organization, she secured surveillance coverage of every area Jiang Zhi might be seen.

Following Jiang Yao's instructions, the assassins first traveled to Jiang Zhi's former neighborhood. Slipping through like shadows, they avoided security patrols and quietly entered Jiang Zhi's former residence. However, the room was already empty, with only a few remnants of belongings hinting at past inhabitants. The assassins meticulously searched every corner, searching for even a scrap of paper or the smallest trace, hoping to uncover Jiang Zhi's whereabouts. However, Jiang Zhi had meticulously cleaned up before leaving, leaving the assassins with nothing to show for it. They could only report back to Jiang Yao, feeling frustrated.

Upon hearing this, Jiang Yao roared in anger, her voice echoing through the empty surveillance room with a chilling intensity. Unwilling to accept defeat, she recalibrated her strategy and expanded her search area. She ordered her assassins to disperse to various transportation hubs in the city—train stations, bus stations, airports, and other locations—to review recent travel records and surveillance footage, hoping to find any clues to Jiang Zhi's departure.

At the same time, Jiang Yao used her connections and influence on social media to spread false information about Jiang Zhi, attempting to lure him out of his shell. She fabricated rumors about Jiang Zhi's involvement in major economic crimes, laced them with blurry photos and false witness testimony, and circulated them widely online. She believed that this would encourage Jiang Zhi to reveal himself or contact certain individuals to clear his name, thereby exposing his whereabouts.

Across the city, Jiang Zhi hurried along a secluded alleyway with her children. She remained vigilant, acutely aware of her surroundings. Although she didn't yet know Jiang Yao had launched such a large-scale pursuit, her intuition told her that danger was approaching. The twins, a boy and a girl, lay in her arms. The sister slept peacefully, her cheeks rosy, while the brother stared at the unfamiliar surroundings with wide, curious eyes. Jiang Zhi gently stroked the children's faces, her heart filled with love and worry. She knew she had to protect these two innocent lives, no matter the cost.

Jiang Yao's assassins busily searched for clues at various transportation hubs. At the train station, they disguised themselves as staff members, infiltrating the ticket hall and waiting room, carefully observing every passenger's face. They reviewed recent ticket purchase records, filtering for passengers who resembled Jiang Zhi's appearance or were traveling with children, but after a thorough investigation, they still found no trace of Jiang Zhi. At the bus station, the assassins also found nothing; none of the passengers coming and going were their target.

Airport security was relatively strict, but this didn't faze Jiang Yao's assassins. Using forged documents and sophisticated disguises, they managed to circumvent some security checks and gain access to the departure area. They prowled the terminal, their eyes sharp as hawks, scanning every corner. However, Jiang Zhi chose not to flee by plane, and the assassins were once again unsuccessful.

In the surveillance room, Jiang Yao learned that the assassins' search of the transportation hub had yielded no results. She angrily threw her coffee cup to the ground, splattering the scalding coffee everywhere, a reflection of the chaotic and frantic state of her mind. Her expression darkened, and a hint of despair lingered in her eyes, yet her insane jealousy refused to give up easily.

Jiang Yao decided to resort to more extreme measures. She ordered assassins to investigate and threaten everyone Jiang Zhi might know, including his friends, former colleagues, and business partners. The assassins began visiting each of these individuals, using violence and intimidation to coerce them into revealing Jiang Zhi's whereabouts. Under threat from the assassins, some of the more timid individuals were forced to share information about Jiang Zhi, but much of this information turned out to be useless or a deliberate smokescreen from Jiang Zhi.

During this process, Jiang Yao's behavior aroused the vigilance and disgust of some people. Some righteous people began to secretly pay attention to Jiang Yao's actions and tried to help Jiang Zhi. They collected some of Jiang Yao's illegal activities and prepared to expose her true face at the right time, providing some indirect protection for Jiang Zhi.

As Jiang Zhi fled with her child, she constantly changed her identity and residence. Using her wits and special connections, she obtained forged documents and rented a simple hut on the outskirts of the city. Although the hut was remote, Jiang Zhi cleverly utilized the surrounding terrain and natural features to install simple warning devices, allowing her to detect incoming enemy attacks.

Jiang Yao's pursuit lasted for days, unleashing a wave of unrest throughout the city. But Jiang Zhi vanished into thin air, never to be found. Yet, Jiang Yao refused to give up. Her frenzy and persistence intensified her pursuit, convinced that as long as she continued searching, Jiang Zhi would eventually fall into her grasp. A sinister grin spread across her face, as if she could already see Jiang Zhi and her child struggling in agony before her, a "beautiful" image painted by her twisted desires.

In this thrilling pursuit and escape, Jiang Zhi and Jiang Yao, like two cheetahs facing off in the darkness, each unleashing their own wits and tactics, the entire city becomes their battlefield. Every corner hides danger and hope, and every clue could be the key to victory or defeat. This battle is not just about the grudges between two individuals, but also involves the complex forces behind them and the fate of countless characters.
