Amid the clamor of battle, Jiang Zhi felt a keen sense of purpose, always glued to her child's presence. Her gaze was sharp, and even amidst the fiercest clashes with the enemy, she managed to maintain a sharp awareness of her surroundings. Knowing Jiang Yao's ruthless nature, she would never miss a single opportunity to harm her child. So, from the outset, she and her allies had formed a tacit understanding, communicating through glances and brief signals, deploying her most reliable personnel to create a tight protective network around the child.
By this time, the battle had reached a fever pitch. The cries of killing were deafening, and the air was thick with the pungent smell of blood and gunpowder. Jiang Zhi nimbly weaved through the hail of bullets, her every movement as agile and precise as a cheetah. With a fierce flying kick, she knocked a charging assassin to the ground. At the same moment, out of the corner of her eye, she caught a glimpse of Jiang Yao, flanked by members of a mysterious organization, stealthily inching toward the child. Jiang Yao's eyes gleamed with cunning and malevolence, a fleeting expression that instantly reassured Jiang Zhi that her fears were well-founded.
"I can't let her succeed!" Jiang Zhi cried inwardly, a flicker of determination in her eyes. Dodging an assassin's dagger, she snatched it away and flung it back at Jiang Yao. The dagger whistled past Jiang Yao's ear and pierced the tree trunk beside her, sending sawdust flying. The sudden attack made Jiang Yao break out in a cold sweat. She paused involuntarily, a look of fear on her face.
Jiang Zhi seized this opportunity to quickly swap positions with her ally and, like a whirlwind, dash towards the child. Her steps were light and swift, moving effortlessly through the chaotic battlefield. Each leap, each turn, perfectly timed to avoid enemy attacks. At the same time, she signaled to the allies tasked with protecting the child, instructing them to take him to a pre-determined safe location.
Jiang Yao saw Jiang Zhi see through her plot and rush towards her, and she was furious and anxious. Unwilling to accept defeat, she screamed and ordered the assassins of the mysterious organization to stop Jiang Zhi. A group of assassins pounced on Jiang Zhi like wolves, waving their weapons in an attempt to trap Jiang Zhi. Jiang Zhi showed no fear. A sneer curled up at the corner of her mouth. In her hand, she had unknowingly gained a long staff, which she had snatched from the enemy during the battle. She wielded the staff with great vigor, each swing carrying a powerful force, and when it collided with the assassins' weapons, a crisp sound was emitted.
"Do you think you can stop me like this?" Jiang Zhi roared, her voice echoing across the battlefield, filled with majesty and power. She unleashed a set of self-created stick techniques, a blend of years of martial arts training and practical experience, boasting a vast array of variations and immense power. Sometimes she used the stick as a sword, stabbing her enemies' vital points; sometimes, she used it as a whip, lashing out at their legs, destabilizing them. Under her onslaught, the assassins fell one after another, screaming in agony.
As Jiang Zhi fought to break free, the child was also in danger. Jiang Yao had been prepared. While she dispatched assassins to stop Jiang Zhi, she also arranged for another group to quietly circle around the child, attempting a pincer attack. While the allies tasked with protecting the child were brave, they gradually began to feel powerless in the face of the enemy's sudden attack.
Jiang Zhi sensed the growing danger facing the child, and she was consumed with anxiety. She knew she had to overcome the current predicament as quickly as possible, or the child would be in grave danger. She took a deep breath, concentrated all her strength, and unleashed her ultimate staff technique—the "Wind-Breaking Strike." Leaping high, the long staff in her hand, with a whirring sound, descended like a bolt of lightning toward the enemy's greatest concentration. The blow was so powerful that it sent several assassins flying, clearing a path for her to reach the child.
Without hesitation, she dashed toward the children, leaving shallow footprints beneath her feet. When she reached them, she found her allies locked in a fierce battle with the enemy. Jiang Zhi shouted, charging into the enemy lines like a god descending from heaven. Her long staff wielded impenetrable force, each strike repelling the enemy. As she fought, she comforted the frightened children. The twins, a boy and a girl, saw their mother approach, their fear lessened slightly, and they clung to Jiang Zhi.
Jiang Zhi shielded the child behind her, her eyes revealing determination and resolve. She and her allies stood back to back, forming a tight defensive circle, warily watching the surrounding enemies. Jiang Yao also arrived at the scene. Seeing that Jiang Zhi had successfully protected the child, her jealousy and anger reached a peak.
"Jiang Zhi, do you think you can escape my clutches? Today is your death!" Jiang Yao screamed hysterically. She personally picked up a gun and pointed it at Jiang Zhi. Jiang Zhi looked at Jiang Yao coldly, her eyes devoid of fear, only endless anger and contempt.
"Jiang Yao, you lunatic! You'll get your comeuppance sooner or later!" Jiang Zhi shouted back. She knew she couldn't retreat now; she had to fight Jiang Yao and the mysterious organization to the bitter end. She quietly signaled to her allies, and they all understood and prepared to meet Jiang Yao's attack.
Jiang Yao pulled the trigger, and the bullet whizzed toward Jiang Zhi. Jiang Zhi was on guard, quickly sideways, and the bullet grazed her shoulder. Seizing the moment Jiang Yao fired, she hurled her long staff at her like an arrow from a bow. Jiang Yao's eyes widened in fear, and she tried to dodge, but it was too late. The staff struck her arm hard, and the gun flew out of her hand.
