Chapter 621 Jiang Yao - Despair

Jiang Yao stood in a corner of the battlefield, her eyes fixed on the unfolding battle. Her lips trembled slightly, her face pale as paper, her carefully applied makeup now smeared with sweat and fear. Her eyes, once filled with confidence and triumph, now held only an endless sense of despair and helplessness.

She watched helplessly as the members of the mysterious organization retreated under Jiang Zhi's fierce attacks, panic spreading like wild weeds. Every move Jiang Zhi made, every tacit cooperation from her allies, was like a hammer, hammering down on Jiang Yao's heart. She could never believe that things had reached this point. Once, she had believed that her alliance with the mysterious organization was unbreakable, that they could easily wipe Jiang Zhi and her annoying child from the world. But reality was like a loud slap in the face, a harsh blow.

Jiang Yao's body began to tremble unconsciously, her legs seemingly losing their strength and teetering on the verge of collapse. She tried to calm herself, swallowing hard, but her throat felt like it was choking on something, dry and painful. Her breathing became rapid and heavy, each gasp accompanied by deep fear and despair.

"Why? Why is this happening?" Jiang Yao screamed in her heart. Her gaze darted across the battlefield, searching for a glimmer of hope, but all she saw was Jiang Zhi's resolute and fearless figure and the panicked expressions of the mysterious organization's members. Her mind went blank. All the carefully planned plots and schemes had vanished, leaving only regret and fear for the future.

Jiang Yao recalled her initial infatuation with Shen Qingchen. That burning passion, unrequited, gradually distorted, transforming into a deep jealousy of Jiang Zhi. She believed that if she could eliminate Jiang Zhi, she would secure Shen Qingchen's love and all the happiness she desired. So, she colluded with a mysterious organization, resorting to every possible means, but now, she had pushed herself into an abyss of no return.

As she watched Jiang Zhi navigate the battle like a fish in water, an indescribable fear welled up in her heart. Every look and every movement from Jiang Zhi was filled with hatred for her and a determination to kill her. Jiang Yao knew she had completely enraged this seemingly fragile yet incredibly strong woman, and Jiang Zhi would never let her go easily.

"What should I do? I can't let her defeat me like this!" Jiang Yao struggled internally, trying to muster up a last ounce of courage. She wanted to escape this horrific battlefield, to find a place to hide, to never face this cruel reality again. However, her legs felt like they were nailed to the ground, unable to move an inch.

At this time, the leader of the mysterious organization also realized the critical situation and began to command the remaining members to make a final resistance. However, Jiang Zhi and her allies were in high spirits, and their attack was as fierce as a storm, making the mysterious organization's defense line precarious.

Jiang Yao's gaze fell on the mysterious organization's leader, a flicker of hope in her eyes, hoping the leader could come up with a way to turn the tide of the battle. However, the leader's face was filled with solemnity and anxiety, knowing full well that the battle had reached a desperate juncture.

Under another round of Jiang Zhi's attacks, the members of the mysterious organization fell one after another, their resistance becoming increasingly weak. Jiang Yao's heart sank completely; she knew it was all over. Her eyes became empty and lifeless, as if she had lost her soul. Her body slowly collapsed to the ground, her hands hanging limply at her sides. The dust that rose up and fell on her body did not cause her to react in the slightest.

Jiang Yao thought back to her once wonderful life, the opportunities and relationships she had ruined. She regretted her impulsiveness and jealousy, regretting that she had embarked on this path of no return in pursuit of a love that was not hers. However, nothing could be undone, and she could only await fate's judgment in despair.

The cries of blood and gore gradually died down as Jiang Zhi and her allies began to clear the battlefield. Their gazes occasionally darted in Jiang Yao's direction, their eyes filled with wariness and disgust. Jiang Yao knew her end was near. She closed her eyes, tears streaming down her cheeks as she awaited Jiang Zhi's final judgment.
