Night fell like a massive sheet of black silk, weighing heavily upon the city, shrouding Jiang Yao and the mysterious organization's hideout in a deep shadow. Jiang Zhi led her allies, like a pack of cheetahs prowling in the darkness, silently advancing towards their target.
Clad in custom black combat uniforms, they blended into the endless darkness. Jiang Zhi's eyes were firm and stern, twinkling like cold stars. She was at the forefront of the team, her steps light yet filled with unwavering determination. Each ally followed closely behind her, their breathing even and steady. After long hours of training and running-in, they had formed an unspoken understanding.
As they approached the perimeter of their hideout, Jiang Zhi gently raised her arm, signaling the team to halt. Squinting her eyes, she carefully observed her surroundings. Ahead lay an abandoned factory area, its dilapidated buildings teeming with weeds, a pervasive air of decay and death. Though seemingly lifeless, it harbored deadly dangers. Jiang Zhi knew the enemy must have deployed a dense array of sentries and defensive installations; any negligence could lead to the failure of the operation.
She turned to look at an ally beside her, a master at concealing his movements. Jiang Zhi said in a low voice, "First, scout out the enemy's patrol routes and sentry positions. Be extremely cautious and don't alert them." The ally nodded silently, then vanished into the darkness like a ghost.
Jiang Zhi and the others remained quietly lurking in their positions, as time seemed to freeze at that moment. Every second of waiting felt like a long, agonizing agony, yet their patience was as unwavering as a rock. A moment later, the ally quietly returned, a look of solemnity on his face. "Enemy patrols circle the area every ten minutes, with sentries stationed at key intersections and on factory rooftops. Their defenses are extremely tight. However, I've discovered a relatively weak spot: behind an abandoned warehouse to the southeast, there's a small drainage pipe leading into the factory."
The corners of Jiang Zhi's mouth rose slightly, revealing a cold smile: "Okay, let's break through from there."
Then, like a black tide, they slowly moved southeast. Approaching the drainage pipe, Jiang Zhi paused again. She carefully inspected her surroundings, ensuring there were no enemy spies. Then, she crouched down and carefully entered the pipe. The pipe was dark and damp, emitting a pungent stench. But they had long since forgotten about it, and could only endure the discomfort as they struggled through the narrow passage.
Finally, they successfully passed through the drainage pipe and entered the factory. Jiang Zhi stood up and looked around cautiously. The factory was filled with a pungent smell of chemicals. Dim lights flickered in the corners, illuminating the outlines of various huge and strange machines, like sleeping giants.
At this moment, they could hear the footsteps of a patrol in the distance, the sound echoing clearly in the empty factory. Jiang Zhi quickly gestured, directing his allies to disperse and advance towards their respective targets according to the predetermined tactics.
She led a small team, stealthily heading toward the factory's core area—a heavily guarded main building. The main building's doors were tightly shut, and two guards stood nearby, weapons in hand, vigilantly observing the surroundings. Jiang Zhi took a deep breath and drew a specially crafted dagger from her waist. It gleamed with an icy cold light in the dim light.
She winked at her teammates, and the two of them, like ghosts, slowly approached the guards from either side. When they were only a few steps away, Jiang Zhi and her teammates launched their attacks simultaneously. Their movements were as fast as lightning. Jiang Zhi leaped forward, slamming her dagger over the guard's mouth, and simultaneously thrusting it hard, the dagger piercing the guard's vitals with pinpoint accuracy. The guard didn't even have time to scream before slowly falling. Another teammate dispatched the remaining guard with the same clean, efficient technique.
Jiang Zhi gently pushed open the main building's door. The hinges creaked slightly, a sound that was particularly jarring in the silence. Her heart suddenly tightened, but fortunately, she didn't attract the enemy's attention. After they entered the main building, they found a long corridor with rooms on both sides.
According to previous intelligence, Jiang Yao and the key figures from the mysterious organization were likely in a secret room at the end of the corridor. Jiang Zhi led his teammates cautiously along the corridor, stopping at each door and listening carefully for any sounds within.
Just as they were nearing the end of the corridor, they heard footsteps coming from the front. Jiang Zhi was startled, and she quickly glanced around and spotted a storage room nearby. Without hesitation, she led her teammates inside and closed the door tightly.
Through the crack in the storage room door, they saw a group of enemies rushing past. Jiang Zhi secretly congratulated himself on his quick reaction. After the enemies had gone far away, they came out of the storage room and continued to move towards their target.
Finally, they arrived at the door of the secret room at the end of the corridor. Jiang Zhi carefully observed the door of the secret room and found that it was made of a special metal, which was extremely strong. It was also equipped with complex electronic locks and monitoring equipment.
She turned to an ally nearby who was skilled at hacking electronic devices and whispered, "It's up to you." The ally nodded, quickly pulled tools from his backpack, and began cracking the electronic lock on the door. The seconds ticked by, each one a test of their nerves. Jiang Zhi gripped her weapon tightly, her eyes fixed on both ends of the corridor, alert for any enemy that might appear at any moment.
