Jiang Yao stood in an abandoned warehouse in a dark corner of the city, surrounded by the stench of decay and dampness. A dim light flickered overhead, casting a shadow twisted by jealousy. "Why should that woman have it all? My children, my lover, the honor of my family—they should all be mine!" Jiang Yao clenched her fists, the resentment in her heart threatening to erupt like a volcano.
Beside her, several members of the mysterious organization waited expressionlessly for her instructions. Jiang Yao took a deep breath, trying to calm herself, and began to lay out the detailed plan to hunt Jiang Zhi. "Divide into three groups. One group will wait near the hospital where Jiang Zhi might be. She'll definitely need regular checkups and medication after giving birth. One group will set up surveillance around the maternity and baby stores she's frequented. She can't avoid needing children's supplies. And one group will investigate the homes of her so-called allies. I don't believe she can remain in hiding forever." Jiang Yao's voice was cold, her eyes piercing with determination.
The assassins took their orders and left, but Jiang Yao, still worried, decided to join the hunt herself, determined to witness Jiang Zhi's desperate situation. She brought a few trusted aides to the neighborhood where Jiang Zhi had once been hiding. Wearing sunglasses to hide her eyes, brimming with jealousy and hatred, Jiang Yao paced the neighborhood, carefully observing every entrance, exit, and corner. She had planted a bomb under an abandoned car on Jiang Zhi's path, setting off a deadly explosion as soon as Jiang Zhi approached.
Meanwhile, Jiang Yao had spies stationed around Jiang Zhi's hideout. She hired thugs to disguise themselves as ordinary passersby, vendors, or cleaners, keeping a constant watch. "Keep your eyes peeled! If you spot that woman, notify me immediately. If she gets away, you'll all be in trouble!" Jiang Yao vehemently told her spies.
Jiang Zhi, on her own, lived with her child in a safe house provided by a trusted ally. But she knew danger was always aloof, and she remained vigilant. One day, Jiang Zhi realized her child's milk powder supply was running low, so she had to venture out to buy more. She carefully disguised herself, donning a wig, a mask, and a hat, covering herself and her child tightly.
Jiang Zhi, holding her child, cautiously walked out of the house, heading for a nearby maternity and baby store. Along the way, she kept a close eye on the people and surroundings. With her keen intuition for danger, she felt like countless eyes were watching her from the shadows. As she passed the entrance of an alley, she suddenly heard the sound of soft footsteps and the clanging of metal. Jiang Zhi's heart tightened, and she clutched her child tightly, quickening her pace.
Just as Jiang Zhi was about to reach the maternity and baby store, she suddenly stopped dead in her tracks. Her gaze fell on a raised stone slab in front of her, and a strong sense of unease welled up in her. She squatted down, pretending to tie her shoelaces, and carefully observed her surroundings. She noticed a vendor not far away, his eyes flickering, as if he was watching her every move. Jiang Zhi thought to herself, "Oh no!" she realized, this might be a trap set by Jiang Yao.
Jiang Zhi feigned composure, stood up, and turned to walk in another direction. She deliberately walked into a busy shopping mall, weaving through the crowds in an attempt to shake off any possible pursuers. Jiang Yao quickly received a report from her informant that Jiang Zhi had changed her route. With a furious curse, she immediately set off in pursuit, her trusted followers chasing her towards the mall.
At the mall, Jiang Zhi used the crowd as cover and quickly made her way to the mall's underground parking lot. She found a pre-prepared car, opened the door, placed her child in the safety seat in the back seat, and quickly started the car and drove away from the mall. When Jiang Yao arrived at the mall, she only saw the back of Jiang Zhi's car leaving. She stamped her feet in anger, "Chase her! Don't let her get away!"
Jiang Zhi sped along the city streets, observing the traffic behind her through her rearview mirror. She noticed several vehicles tailgating her. Jiang Zhi knew they were Jiang Yao's men. She took a deep breath, deciding to use her familiarity with the city's terrain to escape them. She swerved and entered a narrow, uneven road, flanked by high walls. Yet, Jiang Zhi, with her exceptional driving skills, navigated the path with remarkable speed.
The vehicles behind were in hot pursuit, but gradually gained distance on the side road. Jiang Zhi spotted an abandoned factory ahead, and with an idea in mind, she decided to drive into the factory, using the complex terrain to throw off the enemy. She drove into the factory, circled the factory grounds several times, and then parked in a secluded corner. She got out, carrying her child, and hid in an abandoned warehouse at the factory.
Jiang Yao's vehicle soon arrived at the factory. She and her trusted associates disembarked and began searching the factory for Jiang Zhi. "Search carefully! She must be in here!" Jiang Yao shouted. The assassins dispersed, conducting a sweep of the factory.
Jiang Zhi hid in the warehouse, tightly covering her child's mouth, fearing that any sound would reveal her location. She observed the movements outside through the cracks in the warehouse, silently calculating her next plan. Then, she noticed some discarded tools and materials in the warehouse, and an idea suddenly flashed through Jiang Zhi's mind.
She put the child down and began rummaging through the warehouse. Jiang Zhi found some wires, batteries, and metal sheets. Drawing on her medical skills and knowledge of chemistry, she quickly fashioned a simple electromagnetic interference device. She set up the device and waited for the enemy to approach.
The assassins gradually approached the warehouse. As they neared the door, Jiang Zhi activated the electromagnetic jammer. Instantly, a strong jamming signal was emitted from surrounding electronic equipment, rendering the assassins' communications and tracking devices inoperable. They fell into a brief period of confusion, and Jiang Zhi took advantage of this opportunity to slip away through the warehouse's back door, carrying the child.
Jiang Yao heard the noise coming from the warehouse and was delighted, thinking Jiang Zhi had been discovered. She hurried towards the warehouse, but when she arrived, she found it empty except for a strange device that was still emitting interference signals. Jiang Yao angrily threw the device to the ground, "Damn it! She got away again!"
After Jiang Zhi escaped the factory, she didn't dare to stay. She knew Jiang Yao wouldn't give up easily, so she had to find a safer place as soon as possible. She contacted her allies and, with their guidance, headed towards a remote farm on the edge of the city.
At the farm, Jiang Zhi finally escaped Jiang Yao's pursuit. She sat wearily in a chair, filled with anger towards Jiang Yao and worry about the future. But she knew she couldn't let fear and exhaustion overwhelm her. She had to quickly devise a more comprehensive counterattack plan to protect herself and her child, while also thoroughly exposing Jiang Yao's scheme and bringing her due punishment.
Jiang Zhi gazed at the sleeping child in her arms, her eyes filled with determination. "Don't be afraid, baby. Mom will protect you," she whispered. At that moment, Jiang Zhi's phone rang. It was an ally calling, informing her that they had uncovered some new clues about Jiang Yao and the mysterious organization. Jiang Zhi stood up, took a deep breath, and prepared to face the new challenge.
