Chapter 676 Conflict Escalates

Seeing that her pursuit and traps had failed, Jiang Yao felt a surge of frustration, overwhelmed by her. Jealousy and resentment fueled by this surge grew stronger, until it completely consumed her sanity. Her once-beautiful features were now twisted and distorted by extreme rage, her eyes gleaming with madness and determination, like an enraged female beast, desperate to tear her prey to pieces.

"Hmph! Jiang Zhi, do you think you can keep hiding like this? I won't let you off the hook!" Jiang Yao roared, her voice piercing through the empty room with a chilling sharpness. With a sudden swing of her arm, she swept everything on the table to the floor. The sound of shattering porcelain and flying papers perfectly reflected the chaotic and furious state of her mind.

Jiang Yao, no longer content to rely solely on the shadowy organization's underlings and their seemingly sophisticated but ineffective tracking methods, decides to personally lead the hunt for Jiang Zhi. She knows that if she can't eliminate Jiang Zhi quickly, she will never be able to obtain Shen Qingchen, the man who is like a god to her. This obsession has become the only support in her life and the root cause of her utter madness.

Jiang Yao quickly assembled the mysterious organization's most elite and ruthless assassins. Each of these assassins, clad in black tights, had stern faces and a chilling murderous gaze. They lined up neatly before Jiang Yao, like a group of demons awaiting their master's orders.

"Listen, our mission today is to find Jiang Zhi. No matter where she hides, no matter the cost, we must put her and her child to death." Jiang Yao's voice was cold and resolute, each word pierced through her teeth with endless hatred. "Anyone who dares to retreat will be killed without a burial place!"

Upon hearing this, the killers nodded slightly, without any hesitation or fear, as if killing was just a common occurrence for them, an innate instinct.

Meanwhile, Jiang Zhi struggled to escape with her child in the corners of the city. Her eyes betrayed fatigue, yet more so, a determination and resolve. She took each step cautiously, each hiding place carefully chosen. She knew Jiang Yao would not give up, and she had to survive for her child, fighting this mad woman to the bitter end.

"Baby, don't be afraid, mommy will protect you." Jiang Zhi gently comforted the child in her arms. Although the child was still young and might not be able to understand the deep meaning of his mother's words, Jiang Zhi's voice seemed to have a magical power that allowed the child to fall asleep peacefully in this environment full of danger and fear.

Jiang Zhi, drawing on her familiarity with the city, weaved through narrow alleys and abandoned buildings. She sometimes hid in dim basements, sometimes climbed onto dilapidated rooftops, skillfully using the terrain and the surroundings to conceal her presence. Her heart pounded like a drum, and she was constantly alert to any movement around her. The slightest sound would instantly set her nerves on edge.

However, Jiang Yao's pursuit became increasingly frantic and fierce. She and her assassins launched a blanket search across the city, leaving no possible hiding place untouched. As they gradually approached Jiang Zhi's hideout, the air was filled with an increasingly strong murderous intent.

Near an abandoned factory in the city, Jiang Zhi sensed approaching danger. Her heart tightened, and she hurried, searching for a new hiding place. But the moment she turned, a group of assassins appeared before her like ghosts, completely blocking her path.

"Jiang Zhi, you've finally fallen into my hands." Jiang Yao's voice came from behind the assassins, full of pride and madness. She slowly walked forward, her eyes filled with hatred and twisted pleasure.

Jiang Zhi held the child tightly, warily watching Jiang Yao and the assassin behind her. She knew that today's life-or-death struggle was inevitable, but she would never give up easily. "Jiang Yao, why are you doing this? Your jealousy has made you lose your mind." Jiang Zhi tried to distract Jiang Yao with words, while looking for a chance to break through.

"Hmph! You stole Qingchen, and this is what happens to you." Jiang Yao roared, ignoring Jiang Zhi's persuasion. With a wave of her hand, the assassins pounced on Jiang Zhi like hungry wolves.

Jiang Zhi quickly placed the child in a relatively safe corner and turned to face the enemy. Her movements were lithe and agile, like a flash of black lightning, weaving effortlessly through the attackers' attacks. She displayed her exceptional skill, each move imbued with power and skill, parrying and counterattacking in a desperate struggle against the assassins.

Suddenly, the abandoned factory was ablaze with flashes of swords and cries of killing. Though Jiang Zhi was valiant, the assassins were outnumbered and highly trained, putting her in a difficult position. However, just as she felt overwhelmed, she suddenly remembered a unique boxing technique she had learned from her grandfather: a technique that emphasized using softness to overcome hardness and using force to counter attack.

Jiang Zhi's mind shifted, and she quickly adjusted her tactics. She began to employ her boxing techniques, deftly neutralizing the assassins' attacks and waiting for opportunities to counterattack. Her figure flickered in and out of the assassins' encirclement, each strike causing them to feel a sharp pain, either falling to the ground or temporarily losing their ability to attack.

Jiang Yao watched from the side, her heart growing increasingly anxious and angry. She hadn't expected Jiang Zhi to be so stubborn in such a desperate situation. "What are you standing there for, you bunch of losers? Go ahead, kill her!" Jiang Yao roared frantically, her voice tinged with despair.

Upon hearing this, the assassins attacked Jiang Zhi even more frantically, but Jiang Zhi remained calm and composed. While fighting, she kept an eye on her surroundings, looking for an opportunity to break through the encirclement. Finally, she discovered a weak link in the assassins' encirclement.
