Across the city, in Shen Qingchen's luxurious villa, the atmosphere was oppressive, like the calm before the storm. Ever since learning that Jiang Zhi was being frantically hunted by Jiang Yao and a mysterious organization, his heart had been filled with endless worry and regret. The divorce he had once chosen out of necessity to protect her now pierced his soul like a sharp blade.
Shen Qingchen sat in his spacious study, his surroundings drained of color. His eyes shone with determination, his hands clenched into fists, his knuckles white. He knew that this time, regardless of Jiang Zhi's acceptance, he could no longer sit idly by. Drawing on his family's deep business connections and extensive connections accumulated over many years, he quickly launched a series of actions.
First, he summoned his most loyal and capable assistants from the family business. Some possessed keen insights in business intelligence, others were experienced in legal matters, and still others specialized in crisis public relations and security. In the dimly lit conference room, Shen Qingchen stood at the end of the long table with a stern expression. His voice was low but powerful as he spoke: "Jiang Zhi, the woman I deeply love, is facing a life-or-death crisis. I need you to mobilize all your resources to gather every shred of evidence of Jiang Yao's collusion with the mysterious organization. Not a single piece of evidence can be spared." The assistants nodded in agreement. They understood the importance of this matter to Shen Qingchen, as well as the complexity and dangers involved. But they remained steadfast, their eyes filled with loyalty to Shen Qingchen and support for justice.
One of the intelligence experts, Lin Yu, spoke first. "Boss Shen, we've already got some preliminary clues. Jiang Yao has been in frequent contact with some mysterious individuals recently. Most of these people are connected to underground forces. We suspect they are planning a larger-scale attack." Shen Qingchen frowned slightly, a chill flashing in his eyes. "Continue to investigate. I want to know their specific plans, time and location of action."
While strengthening intelligence gathering, Shen Qingchen also didn't neglect his own security. He knew his enemies might seize the opportunity to attack him, thereby striking back at Jiang Zhi. He hired an internationally renowned security team to comprehensively upgrade the security of the villa and key areas of the family business. Advanced surveillance equipment, high-intensity protective facilities, and well-trained security personnel were deployed throughout. Every person entering and leaving the villa underwent rigorous identity verification and security checks, and no suspicious items were allowed in.
Furthermore, Shen Qingchen personally participated in the development of security measures. He meticulously examined every detail, repeatedly checking for any potential security loopholes. He secretly built a safe haven beneath the villa, stocked with food, water, and medical supplies to handle any emergencies. He told the head of the security team, "I want to make sure this place is impregnable. No matter who comes, no one can easily break through our defenses."
However, Shen Qingchen's greatest concern was Jiang Zhi's safety. He dispatched his most trusted men, elite individuals with years of experience, skilled and loyal, to search for Jiang Zhi. Divided into teams, they followed the clues provided by Shen Qingchen and launched a thorough search across the city. They crisscrossed bustling commercial streets, secluded alleys, abandoned factories, and suburban villas, leaving no possible hiding place untouched.
One team, led by Zhao Feng, conducted a thorough search of an abandoned industrial area on the edge of the city. Overgrown with weeds and dotted with dilapidated factory buildings, the area exuded an air of decay and danger. Zhao Feng's eyes were sharp as he observed his surroundings vigilantly, his hand always resting on his weapon at his waist. Working in pairs, the team members meticulously searched every building and every corner.
"Captain, there are some fresh footprints!" a team member suddenly whispered. Zhao Feng quickly rushed over and squatted down to examine them carefully. These footprints looked like they were left not long ago, and the size and shape of the footprints were somewhat similar to the information they had about Jiang Zhi. Zhao Feng was delighted. He stood up and whispered, "Continue searching along these footprints. Everyone, be careful, there may be a trap."
They cautiously followed the footprints and arrived at a seemingly long-abandoned warehouse. The doors were closed, and the surroundings were silent, with only the rustling of weeds in the wind. Zhao Feng signaled his team to disperse and approach the warehouse from different angles. He quietly approached the warehouse window and peered through the dusty glass. The warehouse was dimly lit, but he thought he could see figures moving.
Zhao Feng's heart tightened. He wasn't sure if the person inside was Jiang Zhi, but he knew he had to find out what was going on. He made a few simple gestures to his team members and quickly rushed to the warehouse door. The team members also took action at the same time, opening the door as quickly as possible and rushing in.
"Don't move!" Zhao Feng shouted, aiming his gun at the people in the warehouse. However, when they took in the scene, they realized they weren't Jiang Zhi, but some homeless beggars taking shelter from the elements. Zhao Feng felt disappointed, but he politely asked the beggars if they had seen Jiang Zhi. They all shook their heads, indicating they hadn't.
Although the search was fruitless, Shen Qingchen's men did not give up. They continued to run around the city, enduring fatigue and hunger, just to find Jiang Zhi as soon as possible and provide her with help and protection.
Shen Qingchen was also busy in the villa. He was always by the phone, waiting for news from his men. Every time the phone rang, he would quickly pick up the phone, his eyes full of anticipation. However, most of the time, it was just reports of no progress, but he still encouraged his men: "Keep looking, don't miss any clues. I believe she must still be waiting for us to rescue her somewhere."
