Chapter 705: The Approaching Crisis

Jiang Zhi and her newfound allies set up a makeshift base in a hidden, abandoned factory. The dim light flickered, illuminating the exhausted yet resolute faces of the group. Jiang Zhi placed the child in a relatively safe corner. Despite the danger, her eyes shone with maternal tenderness and determination.

"Everyone, brace yourself! Jiang Yao and that mysterious organization won't let us go," Jiang Zhi said softly, her voice echoing through the empty factory with undeniable authority. The allies nodded, tightening their grip on their weapons or checking their respective defensive equipment.

At that moment, in a dark corner of the city, Jiang Yao was hysterically screaming at a group of assassins from a mysterious organization, "So what if that bitch has help? I want her dead, and I want her child gone!" Her eyes were filled with madness and jealousy, and her once beautiful face was twisted into a hideous and terrifying expression. The leader of the mysterious organization frowned, somewhat dissatisfied with Jiang Yao's loss of control, but thinking of the potential benefits and support she could bring, he patiently said, "Miss Jiang, we've already made arrangements. We have a clue about their base. We're sending out the organization's elite assassins this time, and we won't let them off easily."

Jiang Yao calmed down a little after hearing this, but she still kept urging them to act quickly.

Jiang Zhi, while discussing countermeasures with her allies, kept a close eye on her surroundings. Suddenly, a pigeon took flight in surprise. Jiang Zhi's heart tightened, and she whispered, "Everyone, be careful! Something might be happening!" Just as she finished her words, there was the sound of soft footsteps, followed by several smoke bombs being thrown in. In an instant, the factory was filled with smoke, and visibility dropped sharply.

"Don't panic. Follow the plan and stay at your posts!" Jiang Zhi commanded calmly. She dodged and rushed toward the sound. In the smoke, she encountered a killer. He wielded a sharp blade and lunged at Jiang Zhi. Jiang Zhi dodged sideways and elbowed the killer's arm, sending the blade crashing to the ground. She followed with a sweeping kick, tripping the killer and quickly tying him up with the ropes she had prepared.

Elsewhere, the battle was also intense. One of Jiang Zhi's skilled warriors was locked in a desperate struggle with two assassins. He was agile, his blows hitting the flesh with immense force. But the assassins were also well-trained, coordinating their attacks, trying to exploit his ally's weaknesses. One of the assassins attacked him from behind, leaving his arm lacerated. The pain only intensified his valor, as he spun around, kicked the assassin away, and then engaged in a grappling match with the remaining assassin.

In another corner of the factory, the ally guarding the children also came under attack. Several assassins approached silently, and just as they were about to reach the children, the ally spotted them. Without hesitation, he charged forward and engaged the assassins. Despite being outnumbered, he showed no fear, skillfully using his surroundings to fend off the attackers' attacks. A worn iron plate became his weapon, swinging it with the force, temporarily forcing the assassins back.

After Jiang Zhi eliminated one assassin, she quickly rushed towards the child. On the way, she was intercepted by several assassins. Jiang Zhi took a deep breath and displayed her unique body skills, moving freely between the assassins' attacks. Her hands were like nimble snakes, either pointing or grabbing, making it difficult for the assassins to get close. Suddenly, a assassin took out a handgun and aimed it at Jiang Zhi. Jiang Zhi's eyes flashed, she rolled over, picked up a stone from the ground, and threw it hard. The stone hit the assassin's wrist accurately like a bullet, and the handgun fell to the ground.

After a tough fight, Jiang Zhi finally reached the child. By then, the allies guarding the child were already struggling. Jiang Zhi joined the fray, her presence instantly turning the tide. Like a whirlwind, she drove the assassins back. Eventually, the remaining assassins, realizing the situation was dire, fled the factory.

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief, but Jiang Zhi knew this was just the beginning. They began to examine the wounded, and Jiang Zhi used her superb medical skills to bandage the wounded allies. As she tended to the wounds, she pondered the enemy's patterns of movement.

"Although their attack this time was sudden, it was obviously organized hastily, which shows that they have not fully grasped our situation." Jiang Zhi analyzed.

"So what should we do next?" asked an ally.

"We can't passively defend, we have to take the initiative. They have Jiang Yao as their spy in the open, we have to find a way to eliminate her influence." A trace of determination flashed in Jiang Zhi's eyes.

Across the city, Shen Qingchen's men were also frantically searching for Jiang Zhi's whereabouts. They crisscrossed the streets, investigating any clues that might connect her to Jiang Zhi. Shen Qingchen sat in his office, his brow furrowed, his heart filled with worry. He knew the danger Jiang Zhi faced and hated himself for not being able to be by her side to protect her.

"Boss, we have some clues. It seems that Miss Jiang appeared near an abandoned factory outside the city." A subordinate came to report.

Shen Qingchen stood up immediately: "Prepare the car, we will go there immediately." He ignored the possible dangers and just wanted to find Jiang Zhi as soon as possible and face this crisis with her.

After a brief rest, Jiang Zhi and his allies decided to relocate. They packed up their belongings and cautiously set off for their new hideout. Along the way, they remained vigilant, fearing another attack. Meanwhile, Jiang Yao and the mysterious organization, having learned of the previous attack's failure, began plotting new schemes. A greater crisis loomed for Jiang Zhi and his team...
