Chapter 729: Deep into the Tiger's Den

The morning light was just beginning to break, a faint halo of light filtering through the gaps in the leaves onto the ground, illuminating the resolute faces of Jiang Zhi, Shen Qingchen, Lin Ze, and the team members behind them. After careful piecing together and analyzing numerous clues, they finally pinpointed the mysterious organization's lair in the misty, eerie mountains outside the city.

Jiang Zhi tightened her black windbreaker, her eyes revealing fearlessness and determination. She lowered her head to check the dagger and pistol she carried with her. These weapons had become an extension of her arms in past battles, familiar and reliable. Beside her, Shen Qingchen stood tall and straight, his black suit making him look even more stern and extraordinary. He glanced sharply at the team members around him and whispered the final instructions to ensure that everyone was clear about their tasks and responsibilities. Lin Ze stood aside, his eyes focused on wiping his beloved sniper rifle. This gun had made many achievements in previous battles and was about to accompany them into dangerous areas again.

"Let's go!" With Jiang Zhi's low shout, the group, like cheetahs, swiftly headed towards the mountains. The path twisted and curved, and the rustling of dead branches and fallen leaves beneath their feet was a warning from the mountain to these uninvited guests. At first, the silence was eerie, the only sound being the thud of their heavy footsteps and rapid breathing. However, Jiang Zhi's vigilance remained undimmed. She knew the mysterious organization would never allow them to approach their lair so easily, and that beneath the surface of calm often lay a deadly threat.

When they reached the middle of the mountain, a burst of intense gunfire suddenly broke the silence. A group of henchmen from a mysterious organization rushed out from the surrounding bushes, their eyes fierce and their weapons spurting out flames crazily. Jiang Zhi's eyes were stern, and she hid sideways behind a big tree, relying on her keen hearing to judge the enemy's position. She quickly stuck her head out and fired several bullets accurately from the pistol in her hand, instantly knocking down several enemies rushing in front. Shen Qingchen led a group of team members bravely forward. They used the cover of the terrain to engage in fierce close combat with the enemy. Shen Qingchen was agile, and every punch and kick was powerful, repelling the approaching enemies one by one.

Lin Ze had already darted to a height like a ghost the moment the gunfire rang out. He found his sniper spot, set up his rifle, and calmly searched for his target through the scope. His finger remained steady on the trigger. With each soft crack of gunfire, the distant enemies fell one by one. With their tacit coordination, this wave of enemies was quickly repelled. But they knew this was just an appetizer; the real danger lay ahead.

As they went deeper, the road became increasingly precipitous, and a thin layer of fog permeated the air, impairing their vision. Jiang Zhi and the others advanced cautiously, constantly alert to any movement around them. Suddenly, a subtle buzzing sound reached their ears. Jiang Zhi's face changed, and he shouted, "Be careful, there are hidden weapons!" As soon as the words fell, countless poisonous needles shot out from all directions. The team members dodged, some blocking with weapons, and some quickly seeking cover. Jiang Zhi displayed his skills, nimbly weaving through the rain of poisonous needles. At the same time, the dagger in his hand swung out silver rays, shooting down the poisonous needles aimed at himself and the team members around him.

Chen Qingchen watched Jiang Zhi with a mixture of worry and pride. He knew that Jiang Zhi was no longer the fragile woman who needed his protection, but a strong and brave warrior capable of standing on her own. In this life-or-death situation, he was even more resolute to fight alongside Jiang Zhi and protect her. Lin Ze, with his agility and experience, also managed to avoid the poison needle attack. He looked around, trying to identify the source of the hidden weapon launch so as to fundamentally resolve the crisis.

After a hard fight, they finally broke through the hidden weapon blockade. By this time, the team had also suffered some casualties, but there was no time to pause and grieve. Jiang Zhi simply treated the wounded team members' wounds and continued to lead the team towards the mysterious organization's lair. As they got deeper, the surrounding environment became increasingly eerie and terrifying, and the air was filled with a foul odor.

Finally, after climbing over a hill, they came upon a massive building hidden in a valley. Surrounded by barbed wire and sentry towers, it was heavily guarded. Jiang Zhi and his companions lurked in the nearby bushes, carefully observing the enemy's deployment and patrol patterns. They discovered that at regular intervals, a patrol would follow a fixed route, while the enemy in the sentry tower remained vigilant, scanning the surrounding area.

Shen Qingchen whispered to Jiang Zhi and Lin Ze, "We can't just rush in. We need a comprehensive plan." Jiang Zhi nodded slightly, her eyes fixed on the building, her mind racing with countermeasures. Lin Ze pulled out a simple map, marking their current position and observed enemy positions. After some discussion, they decided that Lin Ze would lead a small group of troops to circumvent the enemy from the flanks, eliminating a few of the guard towers and creating confusion. Then, Jiang Zhi and Shen Qingchen would lead the main force to break through from the front and strike directly at the core of the mysterious organization's lair.

After the plan was finalized, everyone began to move. Lin Ze led his team quietly toward the flank, using the terrain as cover, advancing slowly and cautiously. Jiang Zhi and Shen Qingchen waited in place, biding their time. Time passed, each second seeming to stretch infinitely longer. Finally, a few soft gunshots were heard in the distance, and Jiang Zhi knew that Lin Ze and his men had begun their movement.

"Prepare to attack!" Shen Qingchen whispered. Jiang Zhi took a deep breath, gripped his weapon tightly, his eyes revealing a resolute killing intent. At Shen Qingchen's command, they leaped out of the bushes like tigers and rushed towards the mysterious organization's lair. Suddenly, the sound of gunfire and shouts of killing intertwined, shattering the tranquility of the valley.
