The faint light of dawn struggled to penetrate the dense foliage, casting a shadow over the forest, shrouded in a chilling atmosphere. Jiang Zhi, Chen Qingchen, Lin Ze, and the others had been lurking outside the mysterious organization's lair for a long time, their eyes revealing a resolute determination. Though their equipment wasn't sophisticated, each of them gripped their weapon tightly, as if it were their only hope of defending justice and their loved ones.
Jiang Zhi gently adjusted her breathing, trying to calm the waves in her heart. She glanced at Shen Qingchen beside her. His profile was firm and cold, but his eyes showed concern for her. The moment their eyes met, it seemed as if thousands of words flowed between them, but at this moment, they both understood that the battle was about to begin, and all emotions had to be buried deep in their hearts for the time being.
"Are you ready?" Shen Qingchen asked in a low voice, with unquestionable majesty in his voice.
Jiang Zhi nodded slightly, "Yes, be careful."
Lin Ze approached silently from the other side. "I will go around from the rear and find an opportunity to raid their supply lines and disrupt their deployment."
Shen Qingchen patted Lin Ze’s shoulder and said, “Okay, be careful, we’ll see you inside.”
With a low, muffled signal, everyone rushed like arrows from a bow towards the mysterious organization's lair. As soon as they entered the seemingly quiet area, gunfire erupted, and bullets rained down from all directions. The mysterious organization had clearly been prepared. Their fortifications were cleverly hidden among the trees and rocks, and the crossfire formed a tight web of death.
With her agility and keen observation of the terrain, Jiang Zhi quickly hid behind a sturdy tree. Her gaze was calm and focused, scanning her surroundings for any weaknesses. With a flash of her own, she weaved through the hail of bullets like a ghost, using trees and boulders as cover to deftly avoid the enemy's fire.
While running, she saw a teammate accidentally hit in the leg by an enemy bullet and fall to the ground. Jiang Zhi turned without hesitation and ran towards the injured teammate. As she ran, she took out the first aid kit from her backpack, completely ignoring the bullets whizzing around her.
"Hold on!" Jiang Zhi shouted, his voice firm and powerful.
She quickly reached her teammate, squatted down, and expertly bandaged his wound. The enemy's firepower intensified, and bullets continuously struck the ground around them, sending up clouds of dust. But Jiang Zhi's hands didn't tremble at all, and her eyes were focused and calm, as if the surrounding danger had nothing to do with her.
"Thank you..." The injured teammate looked at Jiang Zhi gratefully, his voice weak.
"Don't talk, stop the bleeding first." Jiang Zhi quickly treated the wound, then helped his teammates hide in a relatively safe place. "Wait here for me, I'll take care of them."
After saying that, Jiang Zhi threw herself into the battle again. She knew that every second at this moment was related to the life and death of everyone, and she could not retreat even a little.
Shen Qingchen led his team in a fierce, frontal assault like a tiger. He charged forward, submachine gun in hand, his eyes revealing fearless courage. Every shot he fired accurately hit the enemy's vital points, clearing a path for his teammates to advance.
"Follow me! Don't give them a chance to breathe!" Shen Qingchen shouted loudly, his voice echoing throughout the forest.
His team members followed closely behind him, cooperating with each other to form a tight combat group. Using tactical sign language and tacit cooperation, they gradually approached the core area of the mysterious organization.
As they advanced, Shen Qingchen suddenly discovered an enemy bunker in front of them. The fierce firepower seriously hindered their progress. His eyes flashed, and he quickly took out a grenade from his waist, pulled the safety pin, and threw it hard towards the bunker.
"Get down!" Shen Qingchen shouted.
With a loud bang, the bunker was successfully blown up, and the enemy's firepower suddenly weakened a lot. Shen Qingchen took the opportunity to lead the team to continue moving forward. Their figures appeared particularly resolute in the smoke.
Lin Ze, relying on his familiarity with the forest, moved like a ghost to the enemy's rear. He carefully avoided enemy patrols and headed towards their supply line. Along the way, he used branches and leaves to conceal his tracks, his footsteps light and silent.
When he finally found the enemy's supply line, a flicker of determination flashed in Lin Ze's eyes. He quickly pulled a time bomb from his backpack and quietly installed it at a key location along the supply line. Then, he set the timer and disappeared into the woods.
As time passed, Jiang Zhi, Shen Qingchen, Lin Ze, and the others gradually approached the core area of the mysterious organization. However, the enemy's resistance became increasingly stubborn. They continued to emerge from various hidden corners and launch wave after wave of counterattacks. The battle fell into a stalemate, and casualties on both sides continued to increase.
While dodging enemy attacks, Jiang Zhi constantly observed the surrounding terrain and the enemy's firepower distribution. She found that the enemy's firepower was mainly concentrated in a valley ahead, while the hillsides on both sides were relatively weak. So, she came up with a plan.
"Chen Qingchen, let's encircle them from both sides of the hillside and catch them off guard!" Jiang Zhi said through the intercom.
"Okay, I'll attract their firepower here, you be careful." Shen Qingchen replied.
After that, Shen Qingchen led the team to increase the intensity of the frontal attack, attracting most of the enemy's firepower. Jiang Zhi took the opportunity to lead a small group of team members and quietly moved towards the hillside on the left.
They trudged up the hillside, the dirt and rocks beneath their feet occasionally loosening and sliding. Jiang Zhi carefully grasped branches and grass roots, climbing up step by step. Sweat drenched her back, but her eyes remained firm and focused.
