Chapter 815: Victory ● Dawn

On this battlefield, shrouded in smoke and blood, Jiang Zhi and Shen Qingchen were wounded and exhausted, but the fire in their eyes remained unextinguished. Standing back to back, like unyielding gods of war, they engaged in a desperate duel with the vicious enemies around them.

Jiang Zhi clutched the dagger, its sharp blade gleaming coldly in the firelight. Her movements were nimble, like a ghostly shadow, weaving through the enemy horde. Though blood oozed from her wounds, staining her clothes red, her gaze remained resolute. Jiang Zhi deftly blended her medical prowess with her fierce fighting skills. Each swing of her dagger precisely avoided the enemy's fatal blows, while finding weaknesses and delivering devastating blows.

An enemy lunged at him from the side, punching him hard. Jiang Zhi dodged the blow with a sideways motion, easily avoiding it. He then slashed the man's wrist with his dagger, nearly dropping his weapon in pain. Seizing the opportunity, Jiang Zhi ducked and slammed his leg, tripping him to the ground. He then stabbed his shoulder blade with the dagger, instantly losing his fighting ability and rolling on the ground wailing.

Meanwhile, Shen Qingchen was equally caught in a fierce battle. He faced a top assassin from a mysterious organization, whose moves were bizarre and varied, and whose movements were elusive and difficult to predict. Shen Qingchen was in danger several times, his cheek slashed by the opponent's sharp blade, blood streaming down his face, but he felt no pain, his heart held only one conviction: to defeat the enemy, avenge his father, and protect Jiang Zhi and his family.

Shen Qingchen roared, his fists lashing out like a torrential downpour, brimming with rage and boundless power. The killer leaned back, avoiding Shen Qingchen's straight punch, and then launched a flying kick towards his chest. Shen Qingchen didn't dodge, blocking the kick with his left arm and simultaneously ramming his right fist into the opponent's abdomen. The killer groaned, staggered back a few steps, and for the first time, a hint of panic appeared in his eyes.

The surrounding shouts of killing and the clash of weapons intertwined, deafening. Jiang Zhi and Shen Qingchen supported each other in this chaotic battle. With the tacit understanding they had cultivated over the years, they knew each other's positions and intentions without words, and time and again they broke the enemy's siege.

As the battle dragged on, the enemy gradually lost ground. Jiang Zhi and Shen Qingchen's tenacious fight intimidated the mysterious organization's guards, whose attacks were no longer as fierce as they had been at the beginning, and their weaknesses were becoming more and more numerous. Jiang Zhi keenly sensed this change and seized the opportunity. When a guard's neck was exposed in panic, Jiang Zhi took a deep breath, gathered all her remaining strength, and rushed forward like a cheetah. The dagger in her hand flashed a cold light in the air and accurately pressed against the guard's throat.

"Don't move!" Jiang Zhi shouted fiercely, his eyes wide open. The guard turned pale with fear, his body frozen in place, not daring to move an inch.

Meanwhile, during the fierce battle, Shen Qingchen discovered his opponent's fatal weakness. As the killer unleashed his bizarre attack once again, Shen Qingchen feigned a trap, deliberately revealing a flaw. The killer, delighted, saw an opportunity and attacked with all his might. However, Shen Qingchen dodged at the crucial moment, simultaneously launching a flying kick at the back of the killer's knee. The killer's knee buckled, causing him to lose balance, and Shen Qingchen, taking advantage of the situation, delivered a powerful punch to his temple. The killer grunted and fell to the ground, motionless.

Having dealt with the last enemy, Shen Qingchen breathed a sigh of relief. He wiped the blood from his face and turned to look at Jiang Zhi. Jiang Zhi was holding a dagger to the guard's throat. Her hair was disheveled, her clothes torn, yet she exuded a shocking majesty. Shen Qingchen quickly walked over to Jiang Zhi and, together with her, they looked at the henchmen of the once-invincible mastermind.

Their eyes met, and they saw relief, exhaustion, and a hint of hope for the future in each other's eyes. They knew that after this long and arduous battle, the hatred that had accumulated in their hearts for many years could finally be avenged, and the mysterious organization, this seemingly indestructible dark fortress, was about to crumble in their hands.

Jiang Zhi turned and looked around. The smoke from the battlefield gradually dissipated, revealing the corpses of the enemy lying scattered on the ground. Most of his allies were also injured, but their eyes also revealed the joy of victory. Jiang Zhi's heart was filled with emotion. In recent days, they had experienced countless life-and-death trials, each time teetering on the brink of death. It was their mutual faith, love, and courage that had sustained them to this point.

Shen Qingchen gently held Jiang Zhi's hand, which was covered in blood and sweat, and exerted a little force, as if to pass all his strength to her. Jiang Zhi felt the warm and strong grip, turned his head to look at Shen Qingchen, and the corners of his mouth rose slightly, revealing a slightly bitter but hopeful smile.

"We did it." Jiang Zhi said softly, with a hint of sob in his voice.

"Yes, we did it." Shen Qingchen responded, his eyes red with excitement of victory and nostalgia for the hardships of the past.

At that moment, the rising sun pierced through the clouds, illuminating the devastated battlefield, casting a golden glow over them and illuminating their path. Jiang Zhi and Shen Qingchen knew that the days ahead might not be smooth sailing, but they were confident that, through their combined strength, they could rebuild a beautiful world where their families, friends, and all those persecuted by the mysterious organization could find peace and happiness again.

As everyone took a breather, Jiang Zhi looked around and began to count her own casualties. While all her allies were wounded, fortunately, most were safe. Feeling a sense of relief, she immediately arranged for the less seriously injured to care for the seriously injured, preparing to transport them to a safer location for treatment.
