Chapter 838 The Growth of Children

The morning light streamed softly through the carved window lattices into Jiang Zhi and Shen Qingchen's bedroom, awakening hope for a new day. Jiang Zhi rose before Shen Qingchen, slipping on her slippers and walking to the window. She stretched, her gaze darting toward the courtyard, her lips curling up unconsciously. There, her two children bustled about, their small bodies brimming with energy, a warm and inviting sight in the home.

Their son, Lu Chenyi, inherited Jiang Zhi's intelligence and Shen Qingchen's composure. Though only ten years old, he possessed a wisdom beyond his years. Dressed in a simple sports suit, his hair damp with sweat, he was absorbed in poring over a thick business book, his small finger occasionally tracing the pages, as if trying to grasp the intricacies of its meaning. His notes lay scattered on the nearby stone table, their dense, neat, and powerful handwriting capturing his thirst for knowledge and his quest for knowledge. Their daughter, Shen Nianyao, was like a lively little elf, clad in a pink dress, bounding through the flowers, a small watering can in hand, carefully watering the delicate blossoms. She hummed a tuneless tune and whispered softly to the flowers, as if they understood her.

"Mom!" Shen Nianyao looked up and saw Jiang Zhi by the window. Her eyes lit up instantly. She ran over like a happy little deer and threw herself into Jiang Zhi's arms. "Look, how well I take care of the flowers. Aren't they more beautiful?" Jiang Zhi smiled and touched her daughter's head. Looking at her rosy face, her heart was full of doting. "Yes, our Nianyao is the best. These flowers are almost dancing for joy because of your care."

Lu Chenyi also came over after hearing the sound, closed the book, and although his face was a little tired like a child, his eyes were firm. "Mom, I read a lot about family business management today and took notes. Can you help me look at it when you have time later?" Jiang Zhi looked at her son's serious look and felt relieved. She gently pinched Lu Chenyi's cheek and said, "My dear child, you work so hard, of course Mom will help you."

After breakfast, the children began their busy days. Lu Chenyi followed his father, Shen Qingchen, to the family business's conference room. Today, there was an important project seminar, and Shen Qingchen wanted to expose his son to the core aspects of business operations in advance to cultivate his overall perspective. The atmosphere in the conference room was solemn and enthusiastic. The heads of various departments took turns reporting on project progress, and data, plans, and questions poured in. Lu Chenyi sat beside his father, his small body straight, his eyes fixed on the large screen, his ears carefully listening to every detail, and his pen in his hand constantly recording key information.

"Mr. Lu, I think the investment budget for this new production line needs further evaluation. The current market fluctuations are large and the risks cannot be underestimated." A senior financial director expressed his concerns. The conference room suddenly became abuzz with discussions, and everyone expressed their opinions, and there was a stalemate for a while. At this moment, Lu Chenyi's childish but clear voice broke the deadlock: "I think we can refer to the investment return rate of similar projects in previous years, and then combine it with the emerging trends in the current market to dynamically adjust the budget. For example, we can invest funds in stages and flexibly allocate subsequent funds based on the early market feedback. This can not only reduce risks but also ensure the progress of the project." Everyone was stunned when they heard this, and then cast a look of approval. Shen Qingchen looked at his son with pride in his eyes. He patted Lu Chenyi's shoulder lightly: "Yier said it well, and it is very thoughtful. Let's discuss it in depth based on this idea."

On the other side, Shen Nianyao followed Jiang Zhi to the charity hospital funded by the family. In the hospital, the smell of disinfectant filled the air, and the coughs of patients and the sighs of their families could be heard from time to time in the corridor. Shen Nianyao's eyes suddenly reddened, and she held Jiang Zhi's hand tightly: "Mom, these people are so pitiful, we must help them get better quickly." Jiang Zhi gently comforted her daughter: "Yaoyao, don't be afraid, we are here to help them."

They walked into a ward where an elderly woman who was bedridden due to a serious illness lived. She had no relatives by her side, and her eyes were full of helplessness. Shen Nianyao walked to the elderly woman's bedside without hesitation, gently held her dry hand, and said in a baby voice: "Grandma, don't be afraid, Mom and I are here to see you, you will definitely get better." As she spoke, she picked up a piece of fruit beside her, carefully peeled it, and handed it to the elderly woman's mouth. Tears welled up in the elderly woman's eyes, and she said excitedly: "Good children, thank you, seeing you makes my heart warm."

Jiang Zhi was nearby, discussing the patient's condition with the doctor, understanding the treatment plan and the current challenges facing the hospital. Shen Nianyao, watching her mother's busy work, vowed to herself that she would be like her mother, someone who brings hope to others. Throughout the afternoon at the hospital, Shen Nianyao accompanied Jiang Zhi, running around, distributing medication, and comforting patients. The little girl was busy and happy, her face always beaming with joy.

In the evening, the afterglow of the setting sun dyed the entire manor golden. Lu Chenyi and Shen Nianyao finished a busy day and met in the courtyard. Lu Chenyi excitedly shared his experiences in the company with his sister: "Yaoyao, do you know? My proposal was recognized by everyone in the meeting today. I feel that I can really help." Shen Nianyao was not to be outdone. She blinked her big eyes and said: "I also did a lot of things in the hospital today. Seeing those patients happy because of our help, I was also very happy."

Jiang Zhi and Shen Qingchen stood aside, watching their children quietly, their hearts full of emotion. "Qingchen, look at the children who have grown up. They are so sensible that it makes people feel distressed." Jiang Zhi's voice was slightly choked. Shen Qingchen gently put his arm around Jiang Zhi's shoulders, his eyes flashing with happiness: "Yes, they have inherited our advantages, and they will definitely be better than us in the future."
