Chapter 910 Happiness●Continuation

Sunlight, like fine golden threads, filtered through the thin clouds, gently streaming down the courtyard. Jiang Zhi and Shen Qingchen sat together on a stone bench in the courtyard, a gentle breeze carrying wisps of floral fragrance, ruffling their hair. Before them, their children played and laughed on the green lawn. Their daughter's laughter was clear and melodious, like the tinkling of wind chimes, while their son's laughter was full of boldness, his hearty laughter echoing in the air.

My daughter, wearing a pink floral dress, fluttered gently as she ran, like a fluttering pink butterfly. She clutched a bouquet of freshly picked wildflowers, the colorful blossoms swaying gracefully in her tiny hands. She paused, crouched, and carefully observed the insects in the grass, her eyes gleaming with curiosity and exploration. My son, dressed simply in a white short-sleeved shirt and blue jeans, exuded energy. He toyed with a small model airplane, imitating various flying poses as he ran, and mimicking the roar of an airplane, drawing occasional squeals of delight from his sister.

Jiang Zhi's eyes followed the children, full of doting and tenderness. She raised her hand and gently smoothed her wind-torn hair, the corners of her mouth unconsciously raised, revealing a gentle smile. Shen Qingchen beside her was the same, his deep eyes reflecting the children's cheerful figures, his resolute face now filled with tenderness. He gently held Jiang Zhi's hand, his thumb slowly stroking the back of her hand, as if this simple action could firmly lock in the happiness of the moment.

"Look how happy they are playing. Time flies. It seems like they have grown up in the blink of an eye." Jiang Zhi sighed softly, with a hint of melancholy in his voice. Shen Qingchen nodded slightly and responded: "Yes, I still remember when they were little, so small, babbling all day long. Now they have their own ideas and pursuits."

Recalling the moments of her children's growth, Jiang Zhi's eyes welled with tears. Her daughter's first steps, her unsteady yet resolute steps, her eyes gleaming with determination after falling and getting up without crying or making a fuss. Her son's first business book, even though he didn't know many of the words, sat at his desk with a serious expression, his little hand pointing to the pages as she explained them, his face brimming with concentration. These moments, like dazzling pearls, are embedded in their memories.

"We must protect this happiness and let the children grow up without worries." Shen Qingchen held Jiang Zhi's hand tightly, his tone firm and powerful. Jiang Zhi turned to look at him, and when their eyes met, they were full of expectations for the future. "Well, no matter what difficulties we encounter, our family must be together."

Just then, their daughter came bounding over, clutching the bouquet of wildflowers. Her bangs were damp with sweat, and her rosy face was filled with an innocent smile. "Mom and Dad, are these flowers pretty?" she asked, her eyes gleaming with anticipation as she handed them to Jiang Zhi. Jiang Zhi took the bouquet, sniffed it gently, and smiled, "They're so pretty, darling!" The daughter's smile widened at the compliment, and she nestled into Jiang Zhi's arms.

The son also came over, holding the airplane model under his arm, his little face filled with excitement. "Mom and Dad, I'm going to build a real big airplane in the future and take you and your sister around the world!" He waved his little fist and said seriously. Shen Qingchen smiled and touched his son's head, encouraging him, "Okay, Dad believes you can do it." The son was encouraged, his eyes lit with fighting spirit, and he ran back to the lawn to continue his "flying dream."

The afternoon flowed slowly, and the family sat around the stone table in the courtyard, enjoying a warm afternoon tea. The table was filled with exquisite snacks and fresh fruits. Jiang Zhi carefully poured juice for the children, and Shen Qingchen handed the snacks to everyone. The daughter took a bite of the strawberry cake, her cheeks puffed up like a cute little hamster, and she said incoherently, "Mom, this cake is so delicious." Jiang Zhi smiled and wiped the cream from the corner of her mouth, his eyes full of love.

As his son ate a snack, he discussed interesting things he had read in the business news with Shen Qingchen. His childish voice was filled with a thirst for knowledge. Shen Qingchen patiently answered his questions, and the father and son chatted back and forth, creating a warm and harmonious atmosphere. Jiang Zhi listened quietly, feeling relieved. This scene was what she had always dreamed of.

Suddenly, a few dark clouds drifted in the sky, blocking the bright sunshine. Then, bean-sized raindrops fell cracklingly. "It's raining, children, come inside!" Jiang Zhi hurriedly stood up and called her children. Shen Qingchen quickly picked up the things on the table, and the family hurriedly ran into the house.

As soon as they entered the house, the rain became more intense, and the wind howled and slapped the windows. The daughter hid in Jiang Zhi's arms in fear, her little body trembling slightly. Jiang Zhi gently patted her back and comforted her, "Don't be afraid, baby, it's just a rain." The son, on the other hand, looked excited. He leaned against the window, looking at the rain outside, and shouted, "Wow, it's raining so hard, like a waterfall!" Shen Qingchen walked over, stayed with her son, and explained to him the principle of rain formation. The son listened with great interest.

The rain continued until evening, when it gradually subsided. A brilliant sunset glow appeared on the horizon: red, orange, and purple, interwoven into a magnificent painting. Jiang Zhi opened the window, and fresh air washed over her, carrying the fragrance of earth and the unique moisture of rain. "Now that the rain has stopped, let's go for a walk and take in this beautiful sunset," she suggested.

The family walked out of the house and strolled along the courtyard path. The stone pavement beneath their feet was clean from the rain, reflecting the sunset in the sky, like a road leading to a dream world. The daughter held Jiang Zhi's hand and skipped along, occasionally pointing at the clouds in the sky and exclaiming, "Mom, look, doesn't that cloud look like a big rabbit?" Jiang Zhi looked in the direction she pointed, smiled and nodded, "It really does. My baby has a very rich imagination."
