Chapter 985: The budding of children's emotions

Amidst the hustle and bustle of family life and the ups and downs of life, the Jiang family embraced a relatively peaceful vacation. The mountain town carefully selected by Jiang Zhi and Shen Qingchen felt like a paradise, isolated from the hustle and bustle of the city. Every inch of the air here was filled with a breath of freshness and freedom, and every scene seemed a masterpiece carefully crafted by nature, providing the family with a perfect place to rest.

Xiao Rui, a young man born into a family with high hopes and steeped in the business world, harbored a burning thirst for knowledge. Overwhelmed by academics and the family business, he rarely found the leisure to immerse himself in the world of books. Yet, this mountain library, quaint and tranquil, seemed like a hidden treasure trove of wisdom.

That day, sunlight filtered through dappled leaves, illuminating the path in front of the library. Xiao Rui, as usual, entered this temple of knowledge. While browsing among the shelves, a book on cutting-edge technology and humanistic reflections caught his eye. Just as he reached for it, his other hand touched the spine. Xiao Rui instinctively turned his head and met a pair of bright, lively eyes. The glint in them reflected his passion for knowledge.

"Are you also interested in this book?" The girl was the first to break the brief silence. Her voice was clear and pleasant, like a clear spring flowing in the mountains.

Xiao Rui smiled shyly and nodded, "Yes, I've always wanted to find time to study it in depth, and I didn't expect to meet a like-minded person here."

The two exchanged a smile, the spark of shared interest instantly dispelling the unfamiliarity of their first meeting. They walked together to the desk by the window, sat down side by side, opened the book that held countless crystallized wisdom, and began a journey of intellectual exchange.

From the book's exploration of how technological innovation is reshaping human lifestyles to philosophical reflections on the boundaries of technological development, the two exchanged insights, each sharing their own unique perspectives. Xiao Rui, drawing on the practical experience accumulated from his family business's diverse reach, imbued his theories with vivid case studies, while the girl, drawing on her deep academic research, helped to dispel the fog of uncertainty surrounding her perspectives. Before they knew it, the sun had quietly shifted, and the sky outside the window was stained orange by the sunset glow.

"Oh, it's so late, I almost forgot the time." The girl suddenly woke up, closed the book and stood up, her eyes full of regret.

Xiao Rui was a little reluctant to leave, but he still stood up politely and said, "I'm really happy today. I've benefited a lot from communicating with you. I hope... we can have the opportunity to discuss this together in the future."

The girl's cheeks flushed slightly and she nodded gently: "Of course I will. I'm looking forward to it too."

From then on, Xiao Rui arrived at the library early every day, and the girl, as if they had a telepathic connection, always appeared at the same time. They would either immerse themselves in books or stroll through the streets of the small town, sharing interesting stories from life and their aspirations and dreams for the future. Xiao Rui discovered that the girl was not only extremely intelligent, but also possessed an incredibly kind and resilient heart. She always faced life's difficulties and setbacks with optimism, striving to find solutions. This positive attitude deeply touched Xiao Rui, and while he enjoyed the exchange of knowledge, a special kind of ripple quietly formed in his heart.

At the same time, Xiaoyou also encountered his own sunshine on the road of artistic pursuit.

Xiaoyou has possessed an exceptionally keen appreciation for art since childhood. For her, painting is a window into her inner world, a bridge through which she can communicate with the souls of all things. However, as she grew older, academic pressures and family expectations piled on, and she gradually felt her creative work was trapped in an invisible shackle, as if the spark of inspiration was obscured by a thick cloud, unable to shine.

An outdoor sketching activity brought a new lease of life to her world. It was a lush mountain forest, where sunlight filtered through the branches, creating golden beams that resembled a dreamlike wonderland. Xiaoyou set up her sketchpad, trying to capture this beautiful moment, but the brush felt incredibly heavy in her hand, and each stroke felt unsatisfactory.

Just when she was feeling frustrated, a vibrant voice rang out from behind her: "Wow, your painting is really great!"

Xiaoyou turned around and saw a sunny and handsome boy with a sincere smile on his face. That smile seemed to have a magical power that dispelled the haze in her heart.

"My painting is not good at all. I feel like I can't find that kind of charm." Xiaoyou lowered his head in frustration, looking at the messy lines on the drawing board.

The boy walked over to her, squatted down, and looked at the sketchpad intently. After a moment, he said, "I think when it comes to art, sometimes we shouldn't try too hard to pursue perfection. Look at this forest; its beauty is dynamic and ever-changing. Perhaps you could let go of your preconceived notions, follow your feelings, and let your brush flow freely."

As Xiaoyou listened to the boy's words, a light flashed through her mind. She looked up at the forest again, trying to clear her mind, letting her brush flow across the canvas, following her inner impulses. Gradually, a painting bursting with life and spirit emerged from her brush, a sense of exhilaration she hadn't felt in a long time.

"Look, this is so great! You are really talented." The boy's eyes were full of admiration, and Xiaoyou felt a warm feeling in his heart.

From then on, the boy often accompanied Xiaoyou through the mountains and forests, seeking inspiration for her work. Together, they climbed steep slopes to overlook the majestic expanse of the rolling hills; crouched by a stream, observing the delicate texture of the water flowing over the rocks; and lay on the soft grass, gazing at the ever-changing blue sky and white clouds. In this process, Xiaoyou not only rediscovered her long-lost creative inspiration but also felt an unprecedented warmth and companionship. The boy's optimism, carefree spirit, and love of life, like the warm spring sun, gradually melted the ice in Xiaoyou's heart built up by artistic bottlenecks, rekindling her yearning for beautiful emotions.
