Chapter 543 Green Beans Part 2

"This thing is expensive." The old man only put this out because he knew Yueyue would buy things, but not things that were too expensive.

"Is this valuable?" Yueyue frowned. Grandpa Shen was very envious of Grandpa Zeng's string beans, and she wanted to pick out something pretty for him. Unexpectedly, the old man said it was expensive.

"It was left by the older generation. I need the money, otherwise I wouldn't have bought it. If you want to buy it, it's two hundred yuan, no bargaining," the old man said.

Yueyue can only count to ten. She still doesn't understand how much money she spends or how much change she should receive.

She had five yuan in her bag, and her great-grandfather also gave her five yuan, making a total of ten yuan.

"Grandpa, I have ten yuan here. How much more do I need?" Yueyue asked.

"There's still a long way to go," Old Zeng said.

Gu San looked at it for a long time, then decided to tease her. "Little girl, are you going to buy it or not? If you're not going to buy it, I want to."

Yueyue glared at Gu San, then continued looking down at the stone in her hand. The stone was so heavy; she couldn't lift it without considerable effort. "Can you give me a discount?"

"No!" the old man said firmly.

Gu San tried to take the stone away, and as soon as he reached out, Bai Shuang, who was sitting next to Yueyue, immediately stood up.

Gu San: What a wonderful dog! It's so big, yet it obediently lets its little owner hold it by the leash. If it were to run wild, even an adult might not be able to control it, but it lets the little girl run it around.

“I saw it first. You can only buy it if I don’t buy it.” Yueyue handed the stone to her great-grandfather to look at.

Two hundred yuan is a lot of money these days.

“Little girl, if you call me Uncle, I won’t fight you for it,” Gu San said.

“Even if I don’t call you, you can’t take it from me.” Yueyue said, unfastening the buckle around Bai Shuang’s neck.

Old Zeng: This girl really likes this stone. She's completely forgotten what her mother said; is she going to apply frost again?

Gu San found this little girl increasingly amusing. He noticed Yueyue's little antics.

This is not only about guarding against him, but also about attacking him at any time.

“Just call me Uncle. I’ll buy this stone and give it to you,” Gu San couldn’t help but say.

"Do you have money?" Yueyue asked.

“I have one! Just call me Uncle, and I’ll buy this stone for you right now,” Gu San said. He assumed Yueyue would definitely choose to call him Uncle.

Unexpectedly, Yueyue bargained with the old man. The little girl was slow and methodical, and in the end, she managed to get the price down by two yuan.

Actually, the old man was a little impatient. It was so expensive; if it were easy to sell, it would have been sold already. But he was afraid of Yueyue pulling Bai Shuang, so he didn't dare say anything.

Gu San: "You've been talking for so long, but you don't have the money to buy it, do you?"

"Call me Uncle, and this stone is yours. How fitting!"

Yueyue seemed not to hear anything. "Grandpa, please buy it for me! I'll save up and pay you back slowly."

Neither Gu San nor the old man selling stones expected that Lao Zeng would be able to take out the money, and without any sign of reluctance.

The old man selling stones was still a little dizzy. And that's how it sold.

Yueyue calls her great-grandfather "Grandpa Zeng," and she even includes his surname, so they're not related by blood. Gu San continued to tease Yueyue: "You have to pay back the money you borrowed. If you call me 'Uncle,' I'll buy it for you, and you won't have to pay it back."

Yueyue ignored him.

The stone was a bit heavy, so Yueyue hung her handbag around Baishuang's neck and put the stone inside.

She gripped one of Old Zeng's fingers, "Let's go home!"

Old Zeng could tell that Gu San meant no harm. "Why aren't you paying attention to him?"

Yueyue: "He looks like he's kidnapping a child."

Gu San, who was listening from behind, burst into laughter!
