Shen Ruomei pursed her lips and remained silent.
Peng Changjun had to slow down the car due to the pain, and then stop and turn off the engine.
"You two get out of the car first!" Song Yan ordered.
Leng Kexin and Ruomei obediently got out of the car.
Song Yan: "Give me the car keys!"
"Can you drive... ah... ah..."
Even after the car stopped, Song Yan showed no mercy and forcefully pulled Peng Changjun's hair.
"Here you go! You think you can drive?" Peng Changjun had no choice but to hand over the car keys to Song Yan.
Shen Ruomei: "What's going on? Where is this? Where is everyone else?"
Shen Ruomei seemed to have guessed something, while Leng Kexin was completely bewildered.
There are only the four of them in this desolate wilderness.
"You've always been driving, so where's the driver?" Song Yan asked.
Peng Changjun rubbed his head. This woman was ruthless. "You're not blind, can't you see I'm driving? You idiot!"
"Peng Changjun, how dare you speak like that!" Shen Ruomei was displeased.
"Peng Changjun, why did you do this? Where did you drive the car?" Leng Kexin asked.
"It's all your bad luck! Who told you to get so close to them and end up sitting in the same car with them!" Peng Changjun's eyes were filled with hatred for Shen Ruomei and Song Yan.
"When did I ever provoke you?" Song Yan had never met Peng Changjun before today.
Peng Changjun smiled coldly and remained silent.
Shen Ruomei hesitated slightly. "He and Su Rui are very close; he's Su Rui's most loyal follower."
Su Rui used to always follow me around. When I ignored him, Peng Changjun would always stand up for Su Rui.
They even said behind my back that I didn't know what was good for me, and...
Shen Ruomei didn't continue, which meant she had nothing nice to say.
Peng Changjun did not object, so it seems that this is indeed the case.
Peng Changjun stepped forward and shoved Chen Ruomei hard. "What makes you so great? You're just relying on your dad! Without your dad, you're nothing!"
"That's right, without my dad's help, all I have left is my status as a college student!"
"And you? Without your dad, what are you?" Shen Ruomei wasn't afraid at all.
Peng Changjun choked on his words. Shen Ruomei meant that if it weren't for his family, he would be nothing, not even a college student. He became somewhat angry and embarrassed, and actually raised his fist to hit Shen Ruomei.
Song Yan pulled Ruomei back to avoid the punch.
"You actually hit a woman!" Song Yan's eyes were full of contempt.
"What exactly are you trying to do! We're all from the same compound, don't go too far!" Leng Kexin's soft voice trembled, clearly she was scared.
"Stop talking nonsense! Women deserve to be beaten! I'm going to hit a woman today, and neither of you will escape!" Peng Changjun said, throwing another punch.
Song Yan pulled Shen Ruomei away again.
Leng Kexin, unafraid of being beaten, grabbed Peng Changjun. "You'd better think about the consequences!"
"You've assaulted someone, do you think your family will forgive you? Do you think General Shen will forgive you?"
"Let go! Let go!" Peng Changjun was furious. He had no patience and pushed Leng Kexin to the ground with all his might.
"Peng Changjun, what are you doing?" Shen Ruomei helped Leng Kexin up; her hands were already scraped.
"You heartless bastard! Su Rui was so good to you. You weren't sad at all after he died. I saw you selling goods with a male classmate, flirting and joking around..." Peng Changjun suddenly kicked Shen Ruomei.
Shen Ruomei was already on guard and nimbly dodged the attack.
Judging from the way he lifted his foot, Song Yan could tell that the young man had practiced.
“You hate me too! Why do you hate me?” Song Yan asked.
Peng Changjun swung his hand at Song Yan, and Shen Ruomei screamed, "Ah... my fourth sister has absolutely no relation to Su Rui, they don't even know each other, what's wrong with you...?"
Song Yan dodged it by slightly tilting his head to the side.
"How can you say it's not related? Don't think I don't know she's your sister-in-law!"
You are all from the Shen family, and there is not a single good person in the Shen family!
"If it weren't for that bastard Shen Changchuan refusing to help, Su Rui wouldn't have died!" Peng Changjun said, turning around to open the car door and pulling out a thick wooden stick from under the seat.
Peng Changjun was clearly prepared.
Shen Ruomei was frightened when she saw Peng Changjun like this. She stepped forward and blocked Song Yan's path. "Peng Changjun, if you have a problem, come at me."
When Su Rui died, I didn't even know she was my sister-in-law! She had absolutely no relation to my sister-in-law!
"How do you plan to get revenge on us?" Song Yan asked.
"Break one of his legs!" Peng Changjun said fiercely.
"If you want to take revenge on us, at least let us know the truth!"
"How could Su Rui's death be related to the Shen family? How could it be related to us!" Song Yan asked.
“Brother Su is in trouble. If Shen Changchuan just says a word to postpone this matter and give the Su family enough time to raise the money, Brother Su will be fine.”
"It was because Shen Changchuan stood by and did nothing that Su Rui was forced to his death!" Peng Changjun's eyes were red, showing how deep his feelings for Su Rui really were.
"You're saying Su Rui was driven to her death?" Song Yan confirmed he hadn't misheard. "I heard Su Rui died accidentally due to a drug allergy."
You actually managed to pin the blame for his death on us!
“They were driven to their deaths!” Peng Changjun said as he walked toward Song Yan and Shen Ruomei with a wooden stick in his hand.
Leng Kexin tried to pull Peng Changjun away, but she couldn't stop him.
Shen Ruomei remained standing in front of Song Yan. "I'll hold him off, you run!"
Song Yan stood rooted to the spot, not moving an inch. "Su Rui did steal the gold bars. This isn't some frame-up!"
