Chapter 676 Bitten by a Snake

Song Yan pulled out a lot of food, as well as fresh fruits and vegetables, from his bag.

After the three women finished eating and rested for a while, it was time to make arrangements to head back.

Song Yan gave Peng Changjun a painkiller pill, otherwise his shoulder joint would have been too painful to drive.

Peng Changjun is already too weak to take a beating, otherwise Song Yan would have liked to give him another beating.

Look at this road! How did this immature kid even manage to drive here?

Song Yan silently took out his compass and checked the direction, making sure he wasn't going in the wrong general direction.

From the moment Peng Changjun started the car, Song Yan dared not close his eyes to rest, keeping a close eye on Peng Changjun, afraid that he would try something again.

The car suddenly stalled.

Song Yan: "What's going on?" Song Yan had been watching him drive obediently the whole time.

Peng Changjun was terrified under Song Yan's gaze: "I didn't do anything! I don't know how it shut down!"

Several people had to get out of the car. Peng Changjun had also secretly learned to drive, but in terms of driving experience, he wasn't as experienced as Song Yan.

Song Yan sat in the driver's seat and wanted to check the car, but when she looked at the dashboard...

This idiot! The car's out of gas.

Song Yan wanted to beat up Peng Changjun as soon as he got out of the car.

Shen Ruomei and Leng Kexin quickly pulled Song Yan away.

Shen Ruomei kept repeating, "Killing someone is unacceptable! Killing someone is unacceptable!"

With no village or shop in sight, they had no choice but to walk back.

But will we be able to find a nearby village before dark? If not, we'll have to camp outside.

Song Yan glanced at his watch; it was 2 PM.

All other talk is pointless; get ready to walk home.

The soldiers had run out of water in their canteens. Luckily, Song Yan had brought an extra bucket of water. They were now well-fed and their canteens were full.

Song Yan's bucket wasn't very big, and now there was only a little less than half a bucket of water left. They took turns carrying the remaining half bucket.

Food was running low, and they didn't know how long the journey would take. Water had to be conserved. They took one gun, and locked the other in the car.

Looking at a mountain and running until the horse dies is like trying to run to death!

They thought the hillside wasn't far, but they walked for a long time and still hadn't arrived.

That damned Peng Changjun deliberately chose such a secluded spot. If it were on the main road, wouldn't he have been able to flag down a bus to Kyoto?

Song Yan glanced at his watch and realized an hour had passed.

Song Yan suspected that Peng Changjun had gotten lost, given the route he led. He insisted that he hadn't.

Song Yan tried to accommodate their pace as much as possible, and they looked tired too.

Song Yan suggested they take a break, and everyone quickly nodded. They sat down, drank some water, and ate something.

"I'm going to use the restroom!" Peng Changjun stood up and slowly walked away.

Shen Ruomei: "What if he does something strange?"

"How dare he run away alone in this desolate wilderness!"

We weren't on the main road, so it would be difficult for our family to find us.

"We might have to spend the night outside!" How could a little girl not be afraid living in the middle of nowhere? Leng Kexin was terrified at first glance.

Song Yan thought Peng Changjun should run away as soon as possible; one less person meant one less burden.

"Ah! A snake! I've been bitten by a snake!" came Peng Changjun's exclamation.

Leng Kexin and Shen Ruomei both walked quickly toward the place where Peng Changjun had made his voice.

Song Yan stopped them and went closer to take a look. He found that Peng Changjun had indeed been bitten by a snake.

Song Yan: Oh dear, what bad luck!

There are two large and deep bite marks on the wound. Judging from the wound, it is highly likely to be a venomous snake. It's almost certainly true.

Song Yan said with disdain, "Did you see what a poisonous snake looks like? How did you end up getting bitten?"

"That snake should have been here all along. I didn't see it, so I startled it!"

"The snake was all striped and slick, and it ran away after biting me. I didn't see anything else!" Peng Changjun's voice trembled slightly.

As Song Yan listened to him, he quickly took out a piece of rope from his bag and tied it around the man's leg. He then took out a cupping jar and applied it directly to the wound.

Shen Ruomei: "Fourth Sister, you even brought your cupping set with you when you went out!"

Song Yan pulled Peng Changjun, "Stand up! The grass is too tall here, let's find another place!"

Although reluctant, Shen Ruomei still reached out to help Peng Changjun walk out.

Just now, Song Yan felt great. What was that saying again? If you don't believe me, look up and see who the heavens will spare!

Only now do we realize that Peng Changjun can no longer walk.

I looked up at the sky and it looked like it was going to rain!

Song Yan wants to beat him up again, what should I do?

They sat down by the roadside.

A lot of blood flowed from the cupping jar, and it loosened. Song Yan removed the jar and applied it again.

Shen Ruomei watched as her fourth sister rummaged through her bag again, then took out two pills and handed them to Peng Changjun. "Take them!"

Peng Changjun took the medicine: "Is this snake poisonous?"

"Yes, I guess it's a short-tailed viper."

Did you know that snakes only actively attack people in very few instances?

With the increasing population, the natural ecological environment has been damaged. In fact, there are not many snakes near Kyoto, and even fewer venomous snakes. As a result, you ended up encountering one!

"You're really shameless! Even God wants you to be sent to the Snake's Mouth!" Song Yan said angrily.

Song Yan loosened the rope binding his leg and then applied the third cupping jar.

"I didn't feel much pain when I bit you, but why does it hurt a little now?" Peng Changjun said in a low voice.

This brat was already afraid of Song Yan, and now that he'd been bitten by a poisonous snake, he was even more terrified. His speech was completely different from before. He said it hurt, so he was definitely in pain.

Song Yan: "I'm going for a walk around the neighborhood to find some herbs!"
